I would love to tell you that this park is disgusting, full of drug addicts and homeless. Then maybe the tourists would stay away. Fortunately, this is not true. Neighborhood locals and resort guests have been enjoying Seascape Park for a long time. Little by little word is getting out. Owned and maintained by the Santa Cruz Parks Department, there are rules for visitors. And sinage is visible listing them. There are restrooms, children's playground equipment, walking trails, and a human and doggie water fountain. Best of all... ocean views. Free ocean views! Where the Santa Cruz County property line ends and the Seascape Resort boundaries begin are a bit of a blur. During my visits to Seascape Park, there were always a few people coming and going with kids and dogs. They all appeared to be locals as they did not come by car. Speaking of cars... there is a very small parking lot. What an incredible little Park at which to spend some time. I have included some photos of the park rules and a cute picture of a doggy getting a drink from the fountain :-). Cheers!

There are two skate parks…read more Far off the street is an add-on type of skate park. There are a few of these throughout the state with a few items plopped on what could be a parking lot. Closer to the street is the new skate park, both with street and vert features. During opening day, the group from Skidmark Skate Mag were there, with free stuff--and a very long line. After the grand opening festivities ended, the serious skating began. It's a good small park with a centrally-located bowl, and some street features around the sides, including a wall ride and rails. There is a large quarter-pipe at the end away from the street. While the people who own H-Skate and their team were friendly, don't expect this of everyone. I can't emphasize this enough. Local people seem to be rude and aggressive far too often. That isn't like any other skate park I've visited in the state, thankfully.
