My lady friend and I walked around and through the park in a leisurely fashion. The bright sun reflected off the lake in blinding but welcoming fashion. I struggle with the trash in the marshes, I am not sure if it is the wind picking it up but I hope there can be more effort cleaning up. It was also extremely sad to see the turtles covered in oil which seems like pollutants from the water. Nonetheless, the trails are nice to walk on. The trails have no elevation but are nicely graveled.

Admission: free! no entrance fee to the park Rentals of paddle boards and kayaks: These have various costs depending on how long you want to rent. I chose 4 hours for $80 paddle board. I was able to pay with a credit card and there was no add'l fee (i.e. no transaction fee). They also held my driver's license to ensure I'd bring the board back. The guy who gave me the board was super nice and explained everything very well. He was much appreciated! My friend and I spent the afternoon at Marsh Creek state park. She brought her own board and I rented. We each had water proof bags and took our lunch way out on the lake and ate on our boards out in the middle of the water. There were places to stop on the edge of the water but we chose to eat on our boards. We had a lovely time enjoying the scenery and chatting with eat other. When I got hot, i took a quick dip in the water to cool down. We had no issues with 'the authorities' as many other people mentioned but my friend (who has been to this park many times) did mention they are strict about parking and following the rules. I would definitely recommend!

The ground is made of soft rubber material. There are a bunch of benches for parents to relax on. :) There are bathrooms right next to the playground. Around are fields and nature trails. One of the trails along the creek has a nice spot for kids to jump in and get a little wet.

On this warm Sunday before Memorial Day when we honor those who have and continue to sacrifice for America, the setting was beautiful! There is plenty of space for 1/2 of Delco to enjoy. The grounds boast 4 gazebos several park benches, a sound stage and beautifully manicured grounds for you to lay down a blanket or fold up chairs. There are stairs where you can walk down to the waters edge if you desire. This is at your own risk of course. For the children/families there is plenty of your standard but very modern playground activities. Additionally there is a great water splash pad. Please defer to their website for the Grand ReOpening events along with other events throughout the summer. This park is adjacent to a new beautiful Holiday Inn Express. Bring the family, chairs/blankets, bug repellent, sunscreen and enjoy!

I came here for a hike yesterday on the Yellow Trail and it was beautiful! This time of year…read moreeverything is green and the forest is full. The wildlife are out and about creating a great sound to complete the scene. The Yellow Trail is the longest in the park (about 7.5 out and back) and takes you through the woods and crosses the paved path a couple times. The trail has a few small hills in it that make the hike a little more interesting and fun. In some parts the trail is narrow and the trees are hanging over, but it is nothing unmanageable. The trails are marked throughout the park, but we did find that these markings could have been improved with more arrows when two trails intersected. The best method for making sure you stay on the right trail is to look at the color markings on the trees. However, the marked trees may be several yards down the path. Just keep walking until you see the marking and then turn around if you need to. I would definitely recommend checking out Ridley State Park for a hike, or even a picnic, as there were plenty of areas to do so. I would love to come back and see other areas of the park or even do the same hike again!

This park is located off…read moreof Bishop Hollow Rd, and at the corner of Bishop Hollow and Ellis Ave. Features include: Baseball / Softball Diamonds Basketball Court Dog Park Lacrosse Facilities Playground Soccer Field Synthetic Turf Field Walking Trail Playground This park comprises all the land surrounding the township building / police dept / library. The ball fields and fieldhouse have separate entrances up the hill from the administration offices. The dog park is across Ellis Ave, along Ellis Ave. The female ball fields are across Bishop Hollow, on the side opposite all of the rest of the park. Soccer fields are behind the library off of Ellis Ave. Playground is hard to find; it is in way back corner behind soccer field. There are these weird "paths" back there, like someone had extra asphalt and dumped it out as far as they could go to make a halfazz sidewalk. It's more of a liability than an asset. Don't let your kids walk there because they'll trip. (Luckily, I did not learn the hard way.) Playground is a little worn, but served its purpose. Playstructure with 3 slides, "rope bridge" which was really made of metal, corkscrew fireman pole, bouncy rides, dino figure to climb on, and swings. The walking path extends from Bishop Hollow Rd (in dog park across from Library), down Ellis Ave, across Ellis past the soccer field, up past playground, and back behind ball fields, to wrap around between them to ball field parking lot. Basketball courts are right next to Library, and are SUPER POPULAR in the summer, so get there early if you wanna turn.
