It's the American dream, folks. The West Goshen Community Park - this is why our forefathers…read moreditched the British shackles and bad food... so their children's children could one day pile in a minivan and run around to their heart's content enjoying spiral slides, sandpits, super swings, and the all the sublime of suburban swag... (wow, I really didn't try the alliteration until I was halfway through the sentence). Sorry, I'm rambling... yet again... So I still give this lovely park 5 stars despite lacking one of those cool splash pads like some of the surrounding parks. Each area of this particular park is so carefully attended to... the picnic tables, pavilions, play structures (oops, there I go again). And the bathrooms are so clean! A sure sign of high performance parks n' rec. It's never overcrowded which is great. And we parents with kids are all civil and nice... it's like we all watch Daniel Tiger together or something. Haven't been to any concerts or big events. Big downside for me is that the running trail is only 9/10 of a mile which leaves a dunce like me who failed the fractions test in grade school completely clueless as to how many whole miles I've run. Just kidding... I don't run. Is that the ice cream truck I hear? Gotta run.

Great park and playground with lots of options. Bathrooms too and kids sandpit. Township hosts…read moreoutdoor concerts in the summer and activities throughout the year.

I offered to walk my friends' dogs, to help during a tough time. I am so glad I reached out,…read morebecause they suggested I take them to nearby East Goshen Township Park, and my favor to others turned into such a fun trip for me today! By a little past 3pm this place was already very crowded. Joggers, walkers, strollers and dogs were all over the walking trails. The playground was mobbed. Though it was unseasonably warm for early March, there were only two people on the basketball courts, no one on the tennis courts, and no one on the ballfields. But parking lots were full with playground- and trail-goers. I have to say these trails are pretty fun, and the playground is pretty bomb. So I fully understand why so many people were hanging there! The trail meanders around the perimeter of the park, with pretty Chester County landscape views. It is somewhat curvy and hilly, so if you want straight and flat, look elsewhere. My friends' dogs had a ball. My son, too, had a blast on the playground! He loved the swings and the sand pit. I can't get him into sand at the actual beach, but he loves sand pits. This one is very large and has cool backhoe type ride-on devices for the kids to operate to shovel and dig. There were also two huge sand funnel stations, and a bunch of standard beach toys lying around. The sand was clean of debris, not even a fallen leaf, which was very cool, and impressive for this time of year. There are a number of playstructures, with all kinds of fun apparatuses. Slides, swings, climbing walls, net climbs, puzzles on the walls of the clubhouse niches, merry-go-round, (for lack of a known name) gyrating stand-on devices, and the cup seat that does a 360. Also, a metal web swing, bouncy rides, and the pièce de résistance, a magnificent flying saucer attached to a friggin' zipline!!! IDK how this got approved because it is potentially dangerous, but man, this is the coolest thing ever! The kids were in line constantly to ride it, and you could tell who is there every day practicing because some were masters at making that thing zip back and forth. They had about 45' of line to travel, and a ramp from which to launch. So awesome! My only playground complaint is that it's not fenced in, but otherwise this is an amazing place! Parents were all attentive, courteous, and looking out for one another's kids. One group ordered like 6 pizzas to be delivered to the playground pavilion, where they had a picnic dinner. Very fun!

Decent township park, with a lot crammed in to every square inch of space. This park is located off…read moreof Bishop Hollow Rd, and at the corner of Bishop Hollow and Ellis Ave. Features include: Baseball / Softball Diamonds Basketball Court Dog Park Lacrosse Facilities Playground Soccer Field Synthetic Turf Field Walking Trail Playground This park comprises all the land surrounding the township building / police dept / library. The ball fields and fieldhouse have separate entrances up the hill from the administration offices. The dog park is across Ellis Ave, along Ellis Ave. The female ball fields are across Bishop Hollow, on the side opposite all of the rest of the park. Soccer fields are behind the library off of Ellis Ave. Playground is hard to find; it is in way back corner behind soccer field. There are these weird "paths" back there, like someone had extra asphalt and dumped it out as far as they could go to make a halfazz sidewalk. It's more of a liability than an asset. Don't let your kids walk there because they'll trip. (Luckily, I did not learn the hard way.) Playground is a little worn, but served its purpose. Playstructure with 3 slides, "rope bridge" which was really made of metal, corkscrew fireman pole, bouncy rides, dino figure to climb on, and swings. The walking path extends from Bishop Hollow Rd (in dog park across from Library), down Ellis Ave, across Ellis past the soccer field, up past playground, and back behind ball fields, to wrap around between them to ball field parking lot. Basketball courts are right next to Library, and are SUPER POPULAR in the summer, so get there early if you wanna turn.
