There's lots of open land, lots of trees, and a wealth of activity areas including a water park. When we stopped by on a rainy afternoon, there weren't many people in the park at all. Some of the many activity areas include: Half a dozen baseball fields, a couple softball fields, a few multi purpose fields, and a playground for the little ones with various structures. None of the fields were occupied when we were there. And then there are the picnic areas -- some tables with grills. And even a picnic pavilion that is good for groups. It can be rented. Plus on top of all this -- a water park.The Calypso Bay Waterpark even has its own entrance. There's an entrance fee for this seasonal park. There's a lap pool, river ride, water slide, and a water "playground". Prices to enter depend on one's age. It was closed when we dropped by. I think it reopens in March, but call for dates before you come. This water park would be perfect for swimming lessons and/or kids birthday parties. This big park must really be busy in spring/summer. And when the ball games are being played. There are a plethora of parking spaces! It seemed a bit eerie to drive by all the empty spaces the day we came.

The park is also home to the Calypso Bay Waterpark which has an interactive water playground, lap pool, lazy river, 2 water slides, and food concession. Sports field parks are not my personal favorite kind of park but Seminole Palms is beautifully maintained and provides a great recreations resource for the many sports teams in the area. The water park looks very family friendly for anyone looking to cool down on a hot day. Come out this park to enjoy the athletic fields, picnic areas, playground, and the seasonal water park.

It is a small…read moreneighborhood park tucked near the northeast corner of the West Palm Beach Golf Course, just east of Forest Hill High School and the West Palm Beach Country Club. It's named after Mary Brandon, a local politician who served on the city's Parks and Recreation Commission in the 1960s. Established in 1999, this park holds the distinction of being the first dog park in the City of West Palm Beach. It features two separate fenced areas--one for small dogs (25 pounds and under) and another for larger dogs. Amenities include dog-friendly water fountains, play tunnels, as well as plenty of chairs, benches, and tables for owners to relax. In July 2019, the city unveiled a brand-new playground, replacing older equipment with updated, shade-covered slides and climbing structures. In addition to the dog park and playground, the park also offers picnic pavilions, a baseball field, restrooms, and a large open green space that's perfect for running around or getting some exercise. I really appreciate how the city created a space that caters to both kids and dogs. It's a welcoming, versatile park that serves the neighborhood well--perfect for a casual afternoon outdoors. I'd definitely come back, especially if I brought my dog or just wanted a quiet place to unwind outside for a while.

There is a nice playground area with a structure, benches, a softball field, a basketball court, a walking path, and open grass to run around in. For the pet owner, there are two dog "parks"/dog run areas for differing size dogs that are fenced in. When we stopped by, there was only one other car parked in the lot. It was lovely weather so I was surprised that more people were not taking advantage of the first sunny day in a while. There are some large old trees providing shade, too. Whatever outdoor recreation you favor, you can find it in this area. If you have a shorter amount of time I would recommend Freedom Park over Okeeheelee. There is still plenty to do here at Freedom Park. My favorite part of this park is the exercise path that runs along the perimeter of scenic wetlands that attract common moorhens, ducks, and egrets. There is even outdoor exercise machines for more cardio and muscle building. This part of the park is perfect for nature lovers. For children ,there is a really colorful and fun covered playground area, a bankshot basketball court, and a storywalk that has different stations that brings together the joy of reading and being outdoors. Stations are installed along trails and children and their families can stop and read and ask and answer questions. Storywalks like this one promote literacy and outdoor exercise while fostering family bonding. Other park amenities include restrooms, a lighted soccer field, concession area, grills, picnic shelter, and a popular pickleball court. One of the standouts of this park is how spacious it feels which allows room for events, parties, and sports. The park is cleaned and well maintained with ample parking. This is the kind of park that will equally appeal to those looking for a peaceful place to unwind as well as those looking to be active. With a wide range of activities available for residents and visitors, there is something for all ages to enjoy.

It was formerly called pinehurst park due to the street it's located on. The street is west of and parallels Jog Road, but it is a quieter less developed drive lined with pine trees. It's a perfect preliminary and pretty bit of nature -- before you enter the park. There are quite a number of facilities at the park including several athletic/soccer fields (4?), picnic pavilions (available for rent), a children's playground that has a rain cover, a colorful basketball court (for kids) with nets of all different heights, benches, walking paths (a parkour), and pickle ball courts. And I've probably missed a few... You can be as active as you'd like, or just sit and relax and watch the water or enjoy nature. I'm definitely coming back here when I have more time.

Some different friends who also Disc Golf had said it was one of the best courses around so I finally felt the urge to make it up there. The open a little early which is nice too. Entering the park is impressive in itself. There are so mnay things going on from a large lake spanning waterpark, wildlife all over, a BMX park that's a good size, and of course, the disc course. The things some had said that was obvious immediately, is that the place had far more rolling hills than any park or place in South Florida. I started off at the top of a hill and had to through down to the bottom of the hill. There were shots later where I had to throw over a pond and up a hill. From the elevation changes to the great forest and water holes, it really was worth the drive. Heck, I've been back 2 more times this month already.

During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

First off, the park is in a residential section. To get to it from where we were, we had to go past a security guard and gate. Luckily, he just waved us in without having to explain our destination. I liked that the park had things for all ages so the very little kids wouldn't feel left out. For the big "kids", there's basketball courts, and tennis and pickleball courts. There's trees for shade plus benches and covered picnic tables, too. There a cute little lending library, swings for littles and one for smalls, slides, and a jungle gym (climbing structure). And in the back -- the splash pad. There's an on switch by the fence which activates a timer for the water. It sprays out of one area and turns and bubbles in another. The height of the water goes up and down, too. If only we'd worn our bathing suits! How lucky are the neighbors to have this lovely little park!

It was a nice, family, and dog-friendly event. I enjoyed my time. The event was well organized. They had staff guiding parking inside. it was a one hot day. It was nice this park had big trees to shade the event.

During his tenor in politics he served on many boards and won several awards. This 16.75 acre park was dedicated to Mayor Ferreri in 1990. Park amenities include 4 racquetball courts, 2 tennis courts, a playground, a large multi purpose field, 2 gazebos, 1 pavilion, picnic areas with grills, restrooms, an exercise path with stations, and a little free library. An interesting thing I noticed was that this park had sensory boards set up. Some people with special needs, like those with autism need sensory input. I have only seen these one other time, at a park in Miramar. This community park is the site of the Green Acres Green Market and Bazaar. The market is open on Sundays from 9 to 11 AM and it runs from October 11 through April 25th. The market sells produce, plants, and baked goods among it's items. If you are in the area it might be nice to stop by. I loved how this park is on the water and I enjoyed watching the many birds that were attracted to the area. Not so nice were the homeless people who took over the gazebo and pavilions but they didn't approach anyone. It is just not inviting to sit down when people are openly staring at you. Still this is a nice park that brings the community together for recreation and special events.

Wondergarden has been such a blessing in our lives. He's now 2 and we still take him, he has multiple close friends around his age and the community overall has been welcoming and family centered. The owner/teacher Ms. Chloe definitely loves what she does, she's very accommodating, talented, and the kids love her. I would definitely recommend for a parent that is trying to get their baby/toddler incorporated into socializing with other babies, and for the classes as well. Even as a mom I found really good mom friends 10/10

I also witnessed some heartfelt interactions between the children and staff. For instance one of the staff members brought out an accordion and started to sing songs for all of the kids to sing along to. Another time I saw the same employee walking around with a bubble blower just having a blast making all of the children feel welcome and have a great time. They also have different classes each day in the back room. Would definitely recommend to any fellow parents that need to get their kid out of the house for a bit. It felt safe, clean, and my kid and I had a great time.

But just after one visit we realized what an amazing park this is and often drive from two cities away just to visit. This park is a lovely escape to nature in South Florida. Boosting, many walking paths, bike paths, a dog park, a splash pad, frisbee, golf pitch, fishing areas, boating lake and many other sports areas. Overall, the paths pavement are generally well maintained, however, you do get a little bit of cracking as you do with most paved areas in Florida due to the heat- nothing too extreme, it was still easy to push a stroller. The bathrooms are always clean, yet admittedly, they are quite dated and dark on the inside, even though hygienically they are up to standards . Perhaps adding some better lighting on the inside could help make it feel a little nicer. Today while walking around the park, we visited many of the small playgrounds and our young child enjoyed getting out to play .

The last time I was here the playground was closed after being shut down July 2022 for construction activity related to the Town Center Phase 2 project. It resumed regular operating hours in May of 2023. When I visited the recent Lakeside Market I was delighted to find it filled with happy children playing on the unique and inclusive equipment. Scott's Place Barrier-Free Playground was built in 2010 with a donation made by Wellington residents Del and Barbara Williamson in honor of their son Scott Scott had cerebral palsy and sadly passed away at age of six. The playground is barrier free meaning it was designed to meet the needs of both able-bodied and disabled children. There aren't many playgrounds created to be barrier free so this is a very special play space for all of the children of Wellington to enjoy. As part of this project, Wellington held a community build weekend event where more than 300 volunteers assembled all of Scott's Place playground equipment. This fenced in playground is themed to Wellington's horse culture with a large horse statue, play wagon, and a horse spring rider. There are the traditional climbing equipment and swings that you expect to find at any playground but also special equipment like sensory items, a communication board where non verbal children can point at pictures to let people know their needs, and wheelchair ramps. There is also a reading corner, covered pavilion, benches, and restrooms. Parents can appreciate the safety aspects of this play space while the kids can enjoy creative play that encourages imagination and physical movement. Kudos to Wellington for creating this safe, clean, and inclusive environment for children to play and explore.

It's located on the south side of Lantana Road in Lake Worth. This is definitely for the young or young at heart -- especially the active person. There are so many varied sporting facilities included in this park. There are multipurpose fields for soccer/football -- some with scoreboards for community teams. There are volleyball and basketball courts. Two athletic young guys were playing one on one when we were there. For the really young there's a playground with equipment; restrooms, of course ; And: There's even a nearby pond for fishing. Then there is a gazebo, a picnic area, and also a pavilion. The covered pavilion holds about 100 people and can rented. Did I mention the very large parking lot for all the cars of visitors? Glad I stopped by...
