I brought here for the arcade it was league night and I couldn't find any employees that weren't busy so I asked some of the bowlers where the arcade was and they pointed it out. We played for quite a while on $20. Come to find out the arcade was supposed to be closed and an employee came in and told us it was closed but to have fun just dont let anyone else in. This really is a great place to hike. I like to take one of the trails all the way around the lake…read moreand depending on which trail I take, the hike can be from 3.5 to 5 miles. There are three parking areas. My favorite parking spot is the middle lot, not way out at the gate and not up close to the lake, or rather reservoir. This gives me several options for hiking. If I go around the lake clockwise from this parking lot, I'll be leaving the hill to climb at the end of the hike. If I go counterclockwise around the reservoir, I'll be doing the hilly part first and then the slow climb out at the end of the hike. The hubby prefers to hilly part first; I prefer the hilly part last. I find the long steady climb out becomes monotonous. We try to mix it up. Rarely do we shortcut the hike and walk across the top of the dam on the south end, as the back side is way more fun. Depending on what the weather has been up to, some of the trails can be quite muddy, and of course, in the spring and summer months, there are ticks. I usually encounter only one or two other walkers/hikers/dogs on a trip around the reservoir. Only once have I had to yield to horses. This really is a great place for some fresh air and exercise.

This is the oldest city park in Walla Walla, but don't mistake that for being boring. There is so…read moremuch to do here. There are trails, ponds, and a lot of old-growth trees to relax under. I focused on the aviary. The largest enclosure has white peacocks, doves, ducks, and geese (I'm sure I missed some other birds) all together so you can see how they interact with each other. There are also smaller enclosures with other types of birds too. Some of them are enclosed with a bunch of doves, although I'm not sure if that was intentional or if they are free loaders. I could watch the birds for hours. In the building adjacent to the largest bird enclosure are smaller pens with birds that I'm assuming are being rehabilitated, although I also saw a cat with a collar in with the quails. I hope that the cat doesn't cause chaos...

The YMCA is one of the only gyms in town, so most people work out there. They seem to charge A LOT for what you're getting, but they can get away with it since there aren't any other viable options. I was charged $25 for 5 days into the next month before I moved and they wouldn't just let me use the facility for those few days. I was originally charge $15/month with my student discount, so that was inconsistent. I got the deluxe membership with the steam room, locker, etc. It was nice, but the women's locker room is very rudimentary and dismal in appearance for what you're paying. While I had the deluxe membership, a staff member confronted me asking if I was paying for it and it felt like he was accusing me of sneaking in there which left a bad taste in my mouth. The worst part is the hours. This place is only open during the day, very limited weekend hours, closed Sunday's and holiday and closes pretty early in the evening. I think the YMCA is nice for older adults who are retired, but if you're busy and trying to lift in a nice facility with new equipment, try to find a better option....which will be hard in Walla Walla.

Chloe is so warm and welcoming! She listened to our ideas and the vision we had for the project and helped us really customize our tray. Chloe is such an amazing teacher! She does a great job teaching the process. My husband is not a crafty guy and his project turned out so great! We both had so much fun! Definitely visit Enable Art!
