Dr. dePlanque has cared for all my cats, rescued, and fostered since then. It's a small practice, as opposed to a multi Vet conglomerate, and I very much prefer taking my cats where we see the same Veterinarian at every visit. Over the years, he and his staff have always been professional, helpful, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Having no medical background of my own, I always ask a lot of questions; it's just my nature, and Dr. dePlanque has always taken the time to give me answers I can understand. I have never been disappointed in the care my cats received. Only because prices are so reasonable, could I afford to rescue, foster, and find good homes for so many cats and kittens over the years. They do not need marble columns, cathedral ceilings, and skylights. They simply need good care, and they get it. Year after year after year. I consider myself fortunate to have found the Dog and Cat Clinic and Dr. dePlanque. He and his staff are my cats' best friends, and I'm a forever client.

While we had to wait awhile, the staff was very understanding and kind even when our girl had an accident on their entry mat. They apologized and explained that they had a euthanasia that had taken extra time; having been in that situation more than once, we certainly understood. Then the doctor came in and spent an extraordinary amount of time with us and our elderly girl. She made sure we understood options and possible outcomes and helped us make decisions regarding our pet's care. She took a reasonable approach, not the most expensive. We hope to continue to receive this level of care. I would certainly recommend them.

I came across Cocalico Cat after my previous vet quoted me an eye watering price to remove a few teeth. I knew I had found the right vet for the job upon meeting Dr. Fracica for the first time. She took the time to actually draw out on paper a simple diagram of my cat's mouth, including the gums and diseased teeth. She explained the procedure, any associated risks, and all other relevant information. She treated my cat with love and care and kept me informed throughout the surgery. Thanks to Cocalico Cat, my cat Hammond can eat without pain once again! To all - please look up reviews for this office on Google - there are MANY 5 star reviews!

She's always gone above and beyond, in some cases spending her personal time researching difficult symptoms, and helping us meet each animal's medicinal and nutritional needs in a way that supports their long term health. She saved the lives of two of my cats (litter mates) who had struvite crystals, and compassionately helped us let go of two cats whose illnesses were beyond treatment. Most recently, she drove 45 minutes, accompanied by a vet tech, to my home, to gently euthanize my almost 15 year old Australian Shepherd, when his size, and severe arthritis made it impossible to get him into my car. Thanks to Dr. Fracica, his last moments were spent in the home he loved, peaceful, and without stress. I can not recommend her highly enough. She truly loves animals, and it shows in every encounter she has with them. As for the other reviews I've read here, it's difficult to understand criticism from people who haven't followed the recommended treatment plan, or can't put themselves in the place of another client whose pet needs immediate emergency care. Personally, I would appreciate that these cases are triaged based on immediate need, because the next time, it could be MY pet. Seriously, don't hesitate to trust your pet's care to Dr. Fracica. She's the best there is.

This time it was me and my 10 year old daughter, when the male doctor walked in (only male vet), my dog growled and stood by my 10 year old. She is overly protective and HATES the vet. So the guy walks in, takes the leash from my hand, and puts her in a slip lead, on the bottom of her neck, then lifted her UP OFF THE GROUND with the fucking slip lead!!!!! At the bottom of her neck! So my 10 year old jumps up and goes to grab the leash and he says "SIT DOWN AND DO NOT TOUCH HER, your dog is a ticking time bomb. Look how she is growling at me, that's not normal. So when, not if, she needs to be put down for mauling someone call me". My 10 year old was crying, I was drenched in sweat having a panic attack. The vet left and the tech came back and apologized, called him very aggressive, said she did not think our dog was aggressive at all, just scared at the vet... like isn't that normal?? She said he gets that way towards people with "aggressive dog breeds to really scare them into getting dog training"... which he reccomended last year, so we went with his suggestion, then today kept telling me how wrong that guy was and shit. Keep in mind it's dentlers dog training, so he definitely knows what he's doing. I'm so disgusted, so sad, and honestly appalled.
