Dr. Reiss was above and beyond compassionate and explained everything thoroughly to ensure our comfort and understanding before anything took place. He has been completely consistent in his care these past 5 years, but this last appointment was obviously especially critical, and his bedside manner was nothing short of exactly what a family would need in this extremely difficult moment. He took care of every aspect so that we could completely focus on our last moments with Sebastian, and then handled his precious body with the utmost dignity and respect to all of us. You couldn't ask for a better, kinder, doctor. And I also have to say that the process was as peaceful as it could have been and a large part of that was because of his attention to detail, concern, and obvious level of professional care. I also should note that the service he uses for cremation (Agape) absolutely exceeded expectations. I used to work for a vet hospital, and I've actually never seen such a professional and dignified presentation as what they provide back to the pet owner. I truly felt like my precious cat was honored, and that has done my heart good in my grief. Don't shop around. If Dr. Reiss services your area, do not even consider going elsewhere. Lord-willing, he will be our first choice with any pets we have again in the future. Thank you, Dr. Reiss. Our family will never forget your compassion and kindness.

Dr. Reiss has been recommended to me many times and so I thought I'd try him out. All I can say is WOW! The scheduling process was smooth, I got an appt way quicker then I thought and Dr. Reiss and his team were kind, compassionate, and thorough when they came out. They saw all 3 dogs and the cat and did their exams and shots in a manner that nobody even realized they were being seen by a vet :-) He made recommendations, but never made me feel he was suggesting anything to increase the size of the bill. His staff with him were equally as wonderful. I can not say enough good things about this experience except the real test was my crew loved him and his team too.

However, the bedside manner of the veterinarian was not great. Instead of answers, I received passive aggressive/ defensive/ accusatory words. I wasn't comfortable with the hostile manner of the doctor, so I won't be returning.

After spending three nights at an emergency vet, with countless tests and mounting bills, Brown was only getting worse. I truly thought I was going to lose him. Desperate and scared, I reached out to my breeder, Sean Donovan (Friendly Kittens) who urged me to see Dr. Campbell at Blue Ridge. From the moment we walked in, I felt hope for the first time. Dr. Campbell didn't just treat Brown -- she saw him. She understood the urgency and handled everything with such care, focus, and professionalism. She didn't sugar coat things which I appreciated. Within 24 hours of her treatment, Brown started eating again. He got up and walked around. After days of watching him fade, seeing those small signs of life brought me to tears. He wasn't out of the woods yet, but it was the first real sign that he was coming back to me. Dr. Campbell didn't just heal my cat -- she gave me back a piece of my heart. I'll never forget what she did for us. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
