I adopted a new dog recently who is having nose bleeds, and I warned them she came from a rough situation and has snapped at a few of my friends. It turns out she doesn't have an aggression issue at all, she has a spinal injury and her snapping is a pain response. She walks fine and jumps up on the couch fine so it was easy to overlook but Dr Fegal caught it quickly. She is a wonderful vet and didn't try to push anything extra when I said I was on a bit of a budget today and just wanted to focus on the current issues. I've used other vets temporarily in the past and can say AMC has very competitive prices in comparison. Some of my quotes at AMC have been half of what other offices would've charged. Pets aren't cheap, but you get your money's worth and quality care here!

Then they did farm calls and continued to do so up until just a short time ago when I guess it just got too much to handle. We were always happy with the timely response to our calls for help and with the treatment and consultations we received over the years. Since Dr. Fairman purchased the practice we have been extremely pleased with the treatment given to our dogs. We specifically always have Dr. Casey Green treat our dogs (Rottweilers) because he seems to have more of an ability to understand larger breeds and interacts with them better, (in our personal opinion). We are disturbed to read the negative reviews on some of the female veterinarians with Dr. Fairman's practice. Of course we have no insight as to what happened other than what is written here and on Yelp but I suspect if these owners had spoken directly to either Dr. Fairman or Dr. Green about what is claimed to have occurred that they would have intervened and done all they could to rectify the complaints. We have always found all the staff who assists the veterinarians to be very courtesy to us and very gentle and understanding with our dogs. We have found both Dr. Green and one of the vet assistants "Brooke" to be very empathic and both have always been straight shooters with respect to the issues we have faced over the years. I also have personal knowledge that Dr. Green spent the night at the clinic to personally watch our young dog one night when we had an emergency with him earlier in the day. I can't thank Dr. Green and Brooke enough for coming to our home when it was time to euthanize one of our dogs. This was on 11/21/2018 which I suspect has been the worst day of our lives. They couldn't have been more professional, kind, gentle, and empathic. I will also complement Darren Jones here who owns Jones Funeral Home who came to our home with a gurney and hearse to take our dog to the funeral home. We sincerely recommend Dr. Casey Green and Brooke at this practice. We also recommend Dr. Fairman who we have also had vet our animals over the years. I can't speak or give any recommendations on any of the other doctors there. They have a large staff and we know that they do everything they can to properly take care of the animals in their care. We have been in business ourselves and know that it just takes one employee who is rude or makes a mistake to affect the whole reputation of a business. Don't let the couple of negative reviews here dissuade you from going to Kingdom for your pets veterinarian care because I can assure you they are reputable and are caring people.

Throughout this incredibly difficult time, the doctor was clear, honest, and compassionate in her guidance, helping us understand the situation and make an informed decision with empathy and respect. We never felt rushed or pressured. Every single staff member at LUV treated us and our pet with deep kindness, patience, and genuine care. The ladies at the front desk are wonder. Super kind and courteous. My dog is in the middle of health crisis... my vet and I have formulated a plan we're both comfortable & confident with where she gets her core treatments at their office and there is some home care treatment. I ran into a relatively simple issue (her port for fluids had clearly slipped) and that required the assistance of a tech to help correct. Because this facility was open after hours my vet had suggested I go see them. When I arrived the first thing I was met with was inappropriate questions about the plan my vet & I put in place for dog. I was lectured on the dangers of providing care for my dog at home, and ultimately she didn't correct the simple issue I originally went in for. I'm sure the vet had the best of intentions but she knew nothing about me, my background, and my experience. And quite frankly I didn't feel compelled to give this woman my resume or list of credentials. Given that my dog is under close supervision by our vet (who has MANY YEARS of experience she does not); her attempts to impugn his decision & abilities (and quite frankly mine) were unprofessional, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable. My advice is simply this... you're an urgent care, address the immediate problem someone needs, don't question the decision of another veterinarian when you clearly don't know what went into making those decisions; and check your personal biases and opinions at the door. I paid $180 simply to be lectured and judged; and my sweet girl never received the care I went looking for- that was extremely frustrating. So I visited my vet first this morning and got my baby squared away. Wishing Loudoun Urgent Vet many years of success, this was one experience and while it was disappointing it won't deter me from going back if I absolutely need. I was paying a lot of money to find out my dogs were just fine. So I tried catoctin on a recommendation. Dr. Conway is right up my ally. She agrees that pets only need to be vaccinated for things they're at risk for. I love that. Why give my pets shots for things that only farm animals get? They also do titer testing there to make sure you're not giving them anything they don't need. Bonus they trim the nails as a courtesy. Price was cheaper then my old vet, but again I was shamed into paying for things I didn't need. Overall, staff was super friendly, wait time was low and, I didn't feel like I was nothing more then a money generater.

Staff is friendly enough when I call in but it's a standard gatekeeping practice; come spend a minimum of $98 to receive any information at all. I rarely get any form of quotes or feedback on inquiries. Vets: Dr. Robbins - bright and friendly but I'm usually left with feeling like I got no security in information about my pet. Perhaps feels brushed off. Dr. Surman - My experience is that she cares a good deal about your pet but I feel heavily judged if I don't lean into every expensive suggestion towards the "wellbeing" of my pet. Aka, every test, every preventative, every measure to assess without question (even if no concern is present). I do believe this is meant well without being money grabbing but regardless, it's uncomfortable. Dr. Trinidad is insightful, attentive but also sharp; probably my preferred for this office overall because the information shared is direct, to the point and layman's enough for average pet parents. I have to maintain 2 stars overall though because it's very expensive, I leave feeling like I haven't come to the practice for 6 years. My pets are not remembered.
