She is organized and takes careful notes. We have two dogs and it is definitely cost effective to have her examine more than one animal at a time. She is transparent in her pricing and the ease of having her come to the house really helps with our elderly dog and cat. I like her calm demeanor and her willingness to listen. She offers pros and cons to various treatment options which I like.

But instead of examining Rusty, Dr. Nizar confronted me, questioned why I had asked for him and made dismissive comments. When I shared the stress I was under with my mom critically ill overseas, he told me, "Your mom's issue is not my issue." He then refused to treat Rusty and left us waiting, while my dog suffered. Eventually another veterinarian, Dr. Martinez, came. She was compassionate, examined Rusty, and helped provide the care he needed. Being spoken to so heartlessly and left waiting while my dog suffered was deeply upsetting.

During our time here we have had to say goodbye to our beloved dog Chip who was my children's best friend for 15 years again always took great care of him and lovingly helped him pass. Recently we lost our Sarge who very suddenly had a medical emergency and needed to be let go. The entire episode was very traumatic for us but again I could not have asked for anything more of the staff. I now have two pups that they very thoroughly care for and treat us all professionally and with utmost care. It's a hard job to work with people and pets on some of their most difficult moments but they handle those with the same grace and care as the best days!

The vet I had was nervous around my 20 pound dog and held a plastic shield in front of his face while she examined him.. She did no testing and just "assumed" what it might be, started him on antibiotics, and told me to come back in 2 weeks for a recheck. My second visit was for a cyst drainage, when I called to make the appointment that is what I REQUESTED! When we got there the vet was not friendly whatsoever, held my dogs collar so tight I thought she was going to choke her, and stated they did not do cyst drainage and immediately resorted to scheduling our dog for surgery. Our dog is 15!!! Why would we want our 15 year old dog to have surgery? Why would you want to perform surgery on a 15 year old dog? When we said no she said okay I'll write your note and you're free to go. They then tried to charge us for a nail trim we requested but never received. I also questioned why I was even able to make an appointment for something they don't do? They essentially told me that their secretaries are not educated and that I should have been called back by a tech. Why was it not caught before I came? Do they not have a schedule? Can they not see what the appointments are for? I believe they wanted to keep the appointment so that they could still get paid and then schedule a surgery to be paid that way as well. I wasted my time, my money, and put my dog through an uncomfortable car ride at her age for nothing. I will not be returning to this vet and I will NEVER RECOMMEND to any one I know.

This urgent care center was great. I didn't even know urgent care for pets existed until my vet…read moretold me about them when they didn't have any appointments available. I called and told them what happened with my dog. Receptionist explained that it's best to make an appointment, they do take walk-ins but prefer appointments, so I made a same day appointment. When we arrived They took us right back to our room. We were met by the vet tech within minutes, the vet tech briefed the vet, who then also came into the room and introduced herself to us and told us what she was going to do. They took our puppy to the back with them did their assessment. The vet tech came back promptly with an estimate, which included a high and low option we said OK great do what you have to do. They did their work and the cost ended up being closer to the low end which was great. The next day we received a call from the vet, checking on the status of our dog which I thought was nice. If we ever have an emergency again (hopefully we don't) will definitely go back.

He recently helped my older cat with horrible dental problems, also a very direct and excellent experience with the exception being they refused to prescribe her any post surgery pain medication, I was so distraught to learn of this; I called and yelled. I do feel bad but surgery of 10 teeth being removed, stitches...and no after care pain med? I begged for anything to help her pain over the next few days and was told no. Super upsetting.
