As a long-distance buyer, I had to rely on their reputation for honesty and accuracy. Broker Tom Cardosa dealt with me in an outstanding mannedr. He answered all my questions, provided substantial documentation of the boat, and was just easy to work with. Unfortunately, on the survey, it was discovered that the engine had a bit of a problem. It was still under warranty, so Tom arranged to have the engine replaced. They took the boat to an authorized dealer for the engine, who had the boat for several months, with apparently no progress. I eventually decided to cancel the purchase. Tom had my substantial deposit returned immediately. So while I didn't get the boat, I did have a very good experience dealing with Tom & Kusler Yachts.

Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxing afternoon turned into one of the worst fishing trip experiences we've had. The captain may have been having a bad day, but his behavior made us feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable. He was repeatedly yelling at fishermen on board, which completely changed the atmosphere and took away from what was supposed to be an enjoyable and relaxing trip. We understand that being a captain can be stressful, but there's a professional and respectful way to handle situations with customers. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not recommend this fishing trip and will not be returning.

Love the ramp in, there's boats to avoid, but there was only one boat at the time we were going on so easy peasy. Then it was a beautiful paddle just around the corner, under the bridge, and over to where the sea lions are! We hung out there for a while and then had our lovely paddle back. Definitely adding this to my list of great paddle launch spots.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I felt like I should…read more To begin, my starboard engine would turn over but not start. Explorer Marine sent out their lead mechanic, Beto, who had repaired my cousin's generator. The issue I was having was the gauge was showing a "check sensor, check engine message." Beto came out the first day and spent 6.5 hours diagnosing the issue, which he found. I was with him the entire day. I went to my boat a week later and the engine wouldn't start again. This time the gauge showed a "lost comm" error. Beto returned to my boat yesterday and left after a couple of hours. He said it was due to corroded connectors. I wasn't with him this time. Again, I saw him arrive and leave on my Ring camera today. I thought he had fixed it yesterday. He and another technician spent a couple more hours to mitigate a different issue. I thought, "Great, what now?" My head was exploding with dollar signs increasing. After speaking with Michael (Manager), it turns out one of the connector pins that plugs into the pcm was bent. It must have inadvertently happened when Beto was working on my boat the first time he was over. I emailed Shannon, the office manager and told her that I had spoken to Michael, who mentioned the issue was a "bent" connector pin. Beto confirmed it with the office, therefore, it was covered under warranty. If it was a different issue, it would have cost me even more. I HIGHLY recommend Explorer Marine. I feel a business with integrity will be nothing, but successful. They could have told me it was a different issue and could have charged me even more. Boat mechanics are NOT cheap and a good and honest company is almost impossible to find. Thank you Beto and Explorer Marine for your honesty!! I will definitely recommend you and your awesome customer service!!
