I had my dog Walter groomed with VIP. Walter is only a little over a year and is still not comfortable with being groomed, they listened to my concerns and was willing to take Walter. The groomer, I think her name was Monica, took her time with Walter and worked on gaining his trust. She even made sure to use the right tools so she didn't end up hurting him if he moved around a lot. Yes his face is cut a little shorter than expected but I understand the want to keep him and her safe. I appreciate their care and approach with him. On grooming. The grooming services are excellent but the front desk is hard to take. In my last visit, I accepted the fact that they didn't provide an up front price for grooming my mini poodle. Then I accepted the fact that at payment they applied a $5 fee over and above the grooming price which turned out to be $75. But today when I left my dog off, they said that they might not be able to groom her until 4-5pm. I called the groomer and she said that if I paid a $25 express fee she could groom her right away. The front desk had not informed me of this option. When I complained to the person at the front desk about the confusion, she didn't even respond to me. read more

My handsome Solo on his last day ever at daycare I found VIP in November 2013 and both my fur babies, Achilles and Solo, loved coming here. They enjoyed socializing with their buddies and affection they received from the VIP staff. Unfortunately, I lost Achilles in 2021 Recently, Solo was there for boarding while I went to Texas. While at the airport, I received a call at 8;00 am that he was not doing well. So thankful for Katrina and Will They actually rushed him to our vet and then to the pet emergency. The prognosis was not good. We cancelled out trip and rushed back to be with Solo. I was told, had we gotten on the plane, and not made it back, Katrina was willing to go be with Solo so he wasn't with strangers I am forever grateful for all they did and the love and care they showered on my baby. In the 10 years we've been going to VIP, not once did I ever worry about them or the care they would receive. We rescued our Tabitha nearly 10 months ago. Our initial experience with VIP began by bringing Tabitha to Doggie-Daycare. We were so impressed with the reception and care Tabitha received----and how joyfully tired she was when she came home. After reading other reviews we took the leap and initiated some additional training for Tabitha. Her leash skills were horrible and she had not improved to the level we desired around other dogs while walking. Enter Mark Street and Jacob. After her first lesson at VIP, we saw remarkable improvement. Still, we felt we were not doing some things right----as it turned out, we were where most are at this stage after our two homework weeks. During our outside session today and unscripted dog distractions, Tabitha walked with us the way you would expect. This is very important because she was a tripping hazard for us----and that reduced our ability to properly walk her. Quite frankly, the uninitiated would have believed Mark and Jacob were magicians. Tabitha's attention is now on us and this has led to longer/more enjoyable walks. And safer for all of us. Thank you Mark, Jacob, and VIP!!! HORRIBLE GROOMING EXPERIENCE. I asked how long it would take when booking the appointment, as my main criteria is my dog doesn't sit in a crate for hours. They said 2 to 3 hours. I made an appointment for 10am and by 1:30pm still hadn't heard from them. I call to check, and the woman said "He's not ready and I can't give you a time, but it will be before 5pm." Are you kidding?? So my window is now 7 hours or less? I asked if they even started grooming him, and turns out they didn't, so he was sitting in a crate for almost FOUR hours and they hadn't even done a single thing. I said to not to even bother and immediately went and picked him up. He sat in crate all day for NO reason. And never even got an apology from the multiple people at the front desk. I really hope you stop lying to people in the future, but better yet, just recommend not taking your dog there for any reason at all. read more

I love this place - we sent our two dogs there for a few years when we lived in FL. They were always well taken care of and they had a blast too. The staff is incredible (friendly and caring) and I like the facilities. They really care about your dogs. Renee does the grooming and I have never had a complaint because my dogs always looked fresh and cute! I'm not sure what the so-so reviews are all about because all my friends send their dogs there and are more than pleased! Bo, our one year old rescue, goes to VIP for day care, grooming and soon, training. I love this place because they really care about what they do and are good at it. We're at peace during the day knowing that Bo is having a good time with his friends and even playing in the pool! I was afraid that he would be aggressive because he's adopted and very protective of us. So when I went the first there, I explained everything and they were super receptive. They took Bo for a walk and through the camera, I could see he settled in well with the other dogs. After ten minutes, his tail was wagging and he was jumping around. I am from out of town and needed to do some errands and wanted to find a place for my dog to play. I called this place day of and they said I could bring her right in. They were SO friendly. I was so excited to hear they had a pool my pup loves the water. She played, she swam & they gave her a bath. They posted to many photos of Facebook which were so fun to look it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! After dropping my dog off on Tuesday for her holiday haircut with specific instructions given to the staff member for her normal hair cut which included a lion's mane, 1/4 inch on her body, trim her tail and behind her legs, clip her nails, brush her teeth and clean her ears. (What we always get done, nothing new) I get a call at 3:00 p.m. that she was ready for pick up. My husband picked her up at 5:00 p.m. after work in nearly the same condition she left with the exception of a blunt chop to her tail and whiskers and a trim around her legs. Her body was as long as it was when we left her which was about 2.5 inches. He gets in the car and notices there is good amount of BLOOD all over the seats of his new car. Worried, my husband took her back in to VIP and told the front desk they cut her nails too short and nicked her vein. So you mean to tell me that over 2 HOURS have passed and my dog has been bleeding and no one cared to inform us or even notice that my dog was bleeding a good amount?!...NEGLIGENCE! I called back the very next morning and expressed I was not happy with her groom, and this is not what I asked for. The receptionist spoke to the groomer to figure out what happened and she apologized and asked if I could bring her in that day to rectify the mistake. We couldn't make it in until Monday morning when I cleared my schedule. I drop my dog off before 9 and tell the receptionist AGAIN exactly how she gets groomed and to CALL ME if she had ANY questions. (mind you they have all this information on file including a picture) My husband and I get a call around 4 that she is ready for pick up. We were told it was an EXTRA $15 because they only charged us for a trim the last time ($60) Sure. They bring my dog out and I was INFURIATED, LIVID, IRATE. THEY CUT HER ENTIRE MANE OFF! For those who don't know Pomeranians' fur is different and it can take an extremely long time to grow back once it is cut. She has had one bad haircut in the past an it took her an entire year for her mane to grow back out. I look at the receptionist and tell her THIS IS NOT HOW SHE GETS CUT!! I told her I asked for a lion's mane and she comes out with NO mane at all, do you know how long it will take for that to grow back out. She says sorry and refunds us the full $75 but the damage is done. After clearing our busy schedules to "rectify" the mistake, you make it EVEN WORSE! Since we brought her home she has been hiding from us and what kills me the most is that she has lost all her confidence. The proof is in the pictures. She normally struts around after a groom, not this time. I will NEVER bring my dog back here and I would recommend that you don't either. read more

I will be boarding my dog Princess in the next few weeks for a few days and its been stressful because I have never boarded her before. During an unscheduled visit to VIP, before making reservations, i discovered the kennels were clean and the dogs all appeared to be having a fun time in the large yard. The staff was great and was able to answer all my questions. The tour was informative with no high pressure to make the reservation. I will review again after her stay but feel more comfortable with the facility and the staff. read more

I would not recommend anyone allow their pet to stay at VIP. I just picked up my German Shepherd, Lafayette yesterday from VIP and immediately noticed something was not right on the ride home. Not only was she extremely lethargic, but had an obvious cough and green mucus dripping from her nose. I just received a call from vet and they have confirmed she now has Bordetella(kennel cough). VIP has refused to compensate me for the vet bills. I would also like to make it known, NO FORM OF VERIFICATION OF VACCINATION was requested upon dropping my pet off. I had to go out of my way to call and send them a copy of forms once I realized I had forgotten to present them. Please do not make the same mistake I did! PS- I copy and pasted this post from facebook, but noticed another review on here stating they had an issue with underfeeding which I did not mention in original post. I had measured my dog's food out with a measuring cup to the exact amount she would need until the morning I picked her up(2.5 cups per day). When I saw she had over 4 cups of food leftover(almost 2 days of food!) I called to confirm she had been eating. The manager checked the feeding schedule and reported she had completed all meals except for 2, which she ate most of. When it was obvious I was implying they were underfeeding, they immediately insinuated I had mismeasured. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS APPARENT NEGLECT AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. read more

I am extremely picky with where I bring my dog to get groomed or leave him when I go out of town. I have always heard great things about this place. I have never really been pleased. Overpriced and horrible dog grooming. He didn't even smell clean or look like they had trimmed his hair. Not to mention several times he was bleeding from his privates when I picked him up. ( Apparently they "accidentally snipped him there"). I had to have a look in the back where the dogs play and board. I was not impressed. It seemed depressing, dirty, and boring. Small, plain rooms. We have a puppy and a 9 year old lab. VIP does a wonderful job with my babies. We have boarded my babies here a few times and they loved it. We were new to the area and used this facility on our vet's recommendation. Our experiences have not been good. We recommend you look at other boarding firms in the area. In summary, prices are high with hidden fees added, odd requirements like a bath every three days are mandatory. Grooming was not well done. Nails were not trimmed, toys and food we brought were not returned until strongly reminded. The staff seems uninterested in the work. The place seems a little run down. There is no outdoor play area. Except when we insisted we were told we may not tour the facility to see cages and play area. Most importantly, our dog didn't like the place. She is a veteran traveller and has stayed at several locations and this is the only kennel where she was very reluctant to go. We have recently made time to tour a number of boarding kennels in the area and think there are better choices that will make you and your dog happier. read more

When I say the name "VIP" my dog's wiggles say it all. She can barely sit still when I tell her that she's going to VIP for daycare and races as fast as she can to get to the car. For an English bulldog, this is a rarity. I started taking my dog to VIP when she was just a puppy. And I have been a fan ever since. The staff is extremely friendly & attentive to my dog's needs. The most important thing is that I never worry when I leave her there for a day of daycare or a week's time because she always comes home happy. First I'd like to thank the entire staff at Vip paws for taking such amazing care of my puppy Floyd. My flight was delayed an hour from Nyc to Palm Beach, I thought Vip paws would close but they stayed open an extra hour waiting for me (they close at 7 and we got there past 8) I was so relieved since my condo doesn't accept dogs and fines heavily. Furthermore, I had brought Floyd home from the kennel the day before traveling with him. I was so worried to leave him alone so soon but after meeting Will and Jessica I knew he was in amazing hands. They truly love dogs and are so caring and helpful. Jessica showed me around the next day and I was so impressed with the spacious rooms, the outdoor play areas sectioned by dog size and the huge doggy bone in ground pool! I visited Floyd every day and they'd tell me stories about him playing with other dogs and give me very helpful advice on training him! It was also great to see all the pictures they post on their Facebook page. Floyd boarded for two and a half weeks and when I'd take him out for the day and bring him back he'd be just as excited to go back and see all the staff there which was such a relief. I knew that even if I missed him he was having tons of fun at Vip. The day I picked him up he smelt amazing and was so soft after his fancy hydrating mud bath and nails trimmed. My dog Zana a Siberian Husky absolutely adores this place as do I! All of the people are welcoming and loving and professional. They know my dog and make a big deal out of her when she arrives. The facilities are the best in town. There is a pool area that is so much fun and they have camp three times a week which involves the pool plus games and lots of socialization with the other big dogs. Little dogs have their days too. I feel completely confident when I leave her to go out of town because I know that she will get the absolute best care available. I can't say enough about this place in the people who work there. They brought in snow for the dogs this year one day and it was hilarious. They take lots of pictures so you can see your dog in action. read more

This is my dog's second home and she loves it!! She plays at day camp each week where the staff interact and play with all the dogs for 5 hours. She boards there for a night or sometimes a week and comes home happy and healthy. She's usually somewhat shy but she knows the staff and runs up to greet them when I drop her off. The staff is very professional and look after each dog's individual needs. They really care about your dog and the experience there. Just picked my dog up from a 4 day stay, only to find out they did not feed her the proper amount for 8 meals! They were giving her a half a cup instead one and a half cups because they entered it in the computer wrong - not to mention it was written on the registration card and the tuppaware of food correctly! I bring my toy poodle to VIP whenever I have to leave town for a few days, and it's always a pleasure for both me and the dog. Her first visit was at 14 weeks old, and there was a puppy area for her to interact with other tiny breed dogs like chihuahuas and yorkies, which was great--i was worried she would be too small to have any playmates, but that wasnt the case at all. The location of VIP really couldn't be better if you live near downtown WPB, like I do. Its 3 minutes away and there's always somewhere to park out front, which makes pick up and drop off really quick and easy. I have had my pup groomed here twice, and both times she looked super cute. People who have poodles can get really specific and anal about how they like their dog groomed, and the staff I spoke with was very understanding of that and gave me exactly what I wanted. Pricing for a "lamb clip" was about $70, which is right on par with other WPB area groomers [even petsmart--that's an expensive scissor-cut no matter where you go!]. I always wish I could bring my dog with me everywhere I go, but when I can't, this is the next best thing:) read more

He stated that "we offer several service packages which offer significant savings on our daily rates for boarding, daycare and pool services" However they are not a savings when your dogs are boarding together, its actually more. He said he understood and would call me back w 2-dog packages. Never received a call but I found this review comment that still doesn't address what I am asking . I agree with another review that demanding a bath after 3 days (70$ for 2 dogs) is ridiculous. We were very worried about leaving a new puppy for six days, but the staff gave us regular updates and their professionalism allowed us to know that he was in good hands. I've always had only friends & family watch my dog because she tends to have separation anxiety from having had a few different, previous owners. However, she was so happy when we picked her up & you could tell it wasn't just because she missed us. She loves playing with other dogs but our new building doesn't have a dog park & there aren't any within the walking distance so it must've been a real treat to play with her new friends all weekend. We're very disappointed when my friends had referred us here as new dog owner. We even printed out a list of what is routine grooming to clean and pluck ear hair as well as cutting nails. I called and Vip said it was done and they check it off which was not done. Oh also said it is not their job to pluck the hair and said it is for our Vetnerian job.??? This is not true according to friends who's been around the area for 22 years with dogs. Sadly our first and last visit. Is it Laziness and taking advantage. Don't think We will be back. :( read more
