My 1st time climbing
Stephanie A.

Today, at the age of 40, I had my first ever climbing experience AND I'M HOOKED. If you've never tried this before, the best way to describe it is, take the physical challenge, combined with the mental challenge, combined with strategic puzzle solving while confronting fear in the face. Because that is what is happening during your first climb. And that's what ropes you in. No pun intended. When I called they were so friendly and happy to answer all of my gazillion questions and invited me to come by. Better yet, they said bring the kid by too. Yup, their climbers start at 5yrs old. My 5 year old had the time of his life. Walking in, WOW!!!! Friendly greeting. Those vertical walls. A bouldering section. Not to mention a super chill and low key vibe there. There was a cute climbing mascot named Tahoe. Brain was the one who helped us today and gave so much time and patience to our family since we just kind of showed up off the street. My son and I are already talking about when we're coming back. This was such a huge confidence booster for my little boy. Everyone was so helpful and gave us the most positive and comforting safe experience. Thank you Vertex team.

Mo!!!

We came to a birthday party there today and the staff were fantastic!!! My child was slightly fearful....and Mo recognized it immediately...was extremely supportive, helped guide and navigate him with his fears. He then built his confidence over the next hour climbing higher and higher each time. Then Will came along and gave him suggestions with footwork and hand placement and he got to the top of the wall twice. My child who was nervous about coming today, had the time of his life and already asking to come back!!! He was encouraged at his rate of speed and felt safe every minute. Thank you to Mo and Will for being so good at your job and helping kids overcome their fears!!! He felt very proud of himself and will definitely be back.

I took my 12 year old son here today and we had such a great experience. Everyone working was very friendly, and helpful. They had a spring break camp going and we were not a part of that but still felt very welcomed and staff went out of their way to help my son with figuring out the best routes and techniques. They had a little construction going on and that crew was also very pleasant and engaging. Can't wait to go back, great work guys!

10/10 recommend this place. They have created a true community that is welcoming to brand new and advanced climbers alike. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. They have fantastic kids programs and membership options- my daughter loves going there anytime she can to climb and just to see the staff who always make her feel like "one of the crew". Definitely check them out!

Yes these are trainers, BUT they make working out a competition between everyone in the class, they make you GO FAST which is NOT how someone should work out unless you want to get hurt. In the class I noticed a lot of people have very POOR form, rounded back, lifting too heavy for themselves, not taking their time to really get good form in. I've heard other people in class say they were sore for 5 days, that's not good. You are pushing people too hard that are just getting in and they will hurt themselves! The first class a trainer will typically evaluate you, ask you if you have any injuries , and weakness, and pain, none of this was done my first day which would make it very easy for someone to hurt themselves. Not to mention there's no stretching before or after? I don't trust these guys, for the amount your paying. (175$ monthly) they should really be focusing on being a trainer and the form of people paying them. You sign a full disclosure if you hurt urself it's not their fault.... if you're paying this much.. I would recommend getting a trainer from a gym. No one in this class is super fit besides the trainers and that should tell you something ...

Where to begin... As a long time member of this gym I cannot believe it has taken me this long to…read morereview it. I will be brief but impactful with my review. This is the bet gym a person can hope to be a member of. The community atmosphere is like no other gym I have been a member of. That is all due to the culture created by the entire staff, both office and trainers. Their ability to offer support through mentorship, guidance, and accountability is second to none. Picking a gym can be difficult because most of them are "meat markets" with one goal- to take your money with the hopes that you show up occasionally. Not at Epicenter Anytime, they encourage you to show up, and if you are not there, they will find out why through thoughtful, non-intrusive accountability. The facility is always clean and the staff is always smiling. To say I give it my highest recommendation would be cutting them short. Oh, and one more tip, the team training classes are a must whether you are a beginner, or experienced. It's worth the extra money and you will not be let down. Home gyms offer zero accountability, and other national gyms are lame and impersonal. Give Epicenter Anytime a try, you won't regret it.

Simple, clean gym with most basic necessities…read more I typically start my gym session with the treadmills and I appreciate that the treadmills face out towards the windows so you can look outside while getting your steps in. The yoga classes are upstairs on the second floor. The room is a decent size, and comfortably fits around 20 mats. I've taken classes from both Liana and Miller and enjoy both of their teaching styles. They are very mindful of each person's abilities, and encourage you to listen to your body. The gym itself is on the smaller side, but has most equipment needed for a solid workout.

They started this business and then the pandemic hit and closed them down. They greeted all of us at the start of ever class with their positive energy and smiles in the thick of it as they reopened. As someone who rarely writes reviews, I felt this one was necessary…read more I've been a coach/trainer for the past five years, and I have never been so disappointed in a new drop-in class. I had never been to an F45 before, but I decided to meet my friend for a short workout on Saturday morning (5/10/25). I walked into a quiet studio where two trainers were present--one female, named Shannon, and a male. Neither introduced themselves or welcomed me. The female trainer was on her phone, and the male was walking around. I had to initiate the conversation, saying something like, "Hi, I haven't been to this gym before." The female glanced up and said, "Ha, you came to the one-hour workout--you're going to die," then pointed to the lockers and told me where to put my things. The male said absolutely nothing. I repeated myself: "Okay, well, I haven't been here before--do I need to sign something?" She looked up from her phone again and asked, "Oh, so you want to drop in?" I said, "I think so," and she pointed to a QR code on the wall and said, "You can sign up through here." As a coach, I have never felt so unimpressed or unwelcome. After signing up, no one asked if I had any workout experience, prior injuries, or questions. No direction was given about where to warm up or how the class worked. Nothing. I was honestly in shock. Thankfully, my friend was there to guide me. (Imagine if I had come alone!) While I could figure things out due to my experience, the lack of attention was unacceptable--especially considering the $219/month unlimited membership price. Frankly, it felt fraudulent. During the class, the coaches were flat, disengaged, and uninterested. No motivation, no energy--just generic lines like "Push harder... come on... 10 seconds left." It felt like a conveyor belt workout. The session itself was okay--I definitely didn't "die" as the coach joked. After the class, neither coach checked in with me. No "good job," no "thanks for coming," no invitation to return--absolutely nothing. I walked out of the gym feeling upset and disgusted by how I was treated and how poorly this F45 location operates. I know not all F45 gyms are like this. Shout out to Coach MoMo down in Burlingame, who creates an enjoyable and welcoming experience. But the F45 in Santa Rosa off Industrial Ave is, in my opinion, a huge waste of money. I would never recommend this location--or at least the 6:45 AM class. Also, $30 for a drop-in session? For that level of service? No thanks. It's unfortunate that I felt compelled to write this review, but people deserve to know they can spend far less elsewhere and receive far more in terms of physical and emotional wellbeing.

When Staci has conflicts (not often) she has excellent substitute instructors.
