I'm the worst when it comes to vegetables but I happily went here two nights in a row. The food is good. Not wonderful but good enough to satisfy even the strict meat eater. The chili cheese fries (we tried the vegan as well as vegetarian on two different nights) was delicious. Plus a free Foosball table in a graffiti covered bar/restaurant? No complaints. I have been here over 10 times, the food is always fresh. Choice is between a plate of the day or an oven plate. The latter takes about 20 minutes, but it's worth the wait. The front of the house has a high staff turnover, not always helping in atmosphere, as they seem to leave when trained. Unlike most Belgian restaurants, the owners or staff accepts it if you just have the food and some tap water. The audience is a good mix of students, couples, academics and young professionals. Sometimes the noise is a little overwhelming. But most of the times I was here, it was a nice experience. Dessert are fresh made cakes. My advice is to leave some space, as they are delicious. Plate of the day and dessert will have you out of here for under a 20 Euro. If you are around here, on a budget or just looking for the day without meat: here is your location!

Even though its main focus is providing plantbased fastfood, such as vegan calamares, burgers, ... They also provide options like salads, f.e. with vegan mozarella and zoodles (zucchini noodles) which are both glutenfree (luckily for my mom). It also functions as a small supermarket with quite a lot of options for being so small, when it comes to vegan charcuterie, icecream, even snacks for our furry friends! On top of that the staff is superfriendly and the interior is fresh, 'green' and cosy. Always a pleasure to eat there! P.s. For more restaurant-worthy food in the evening, I can surely recommend the original Loving Hut restaurant in the Tiensestraat at Leuven. Their awesome burgers are also available there by the way ;-)

Burgers
[note: the name "Burgers" is not in English. It means "citizens" in Dutch. There are no food…read moreburgers here.] This is a cool place to have some delicious 'home-cooked' vegetarian food for a really fantastic price. You will be surrounded by hippies, students, and other interesting people. Dogs are allowed, but I only see one or two there at a time. They have a set 'meal of the day' so you only get one choice for soup, one choice for entree, and once choice for dessert. However, the price you pay will be something like 7 euros for a 3 course meal. The colorfulness of the dish won't disappoint. It is always an interesting motley mix of nicely spiced (not hot, but flavorful) of food, so you don't even realize the entire dish was missing meat. You have to register (or "subscribe" as they say in Holland) that afternoon so that they know how much food to make. To register, just give them a call and give them your name(s). Oh yeah, they also have musicians playing sometimes. I'm not sure exactly when. But it could be annoying if you're trying to have a conversation. There is an organic shop where you can buy all sorts of organic (or "biological" as they say in Holland) products. Food + cleaning supplies. Also, I don't know if it's still there, but 3 years ago, there was a record shop in the back. I'd say that's pretty awesome! Overall, I highly recommend the place!

We had the most adorable little breakfast here!…read more I always make an effort to check out a plant based restaurant when traveling and I'm so glad we had an opportunity to sample this one during our stay in Antwerp. It's located spank in the center of touristy shit in town and is honestly hard to miss. There were a few tables occupied at the time of our visit late morning on a Friday. The person working was American and very kind, providing a generous amount of assistance for our indecisiveness. They have a variety of different dishes to suit different moods. We all ordered some variation of coffee/espresso and all enjoyed our beverages. To eat, I tried their hummus panini which was served with a plentiful side salad. It wasn't advertised that the panini had onions, which I despise, so I had to hand pick all of them off and as you can imagine, this was annoying. I was also disappointed in the quantity of fillings inside the sandwich which was mostly hummus, a small handful of arugula, and one or two other chopped pieces of vegetables. I had no issues with flavor. GF ordered the hummus sandwich, which was served as two thick pieces of toast. This dish was presented beautifully with two sprigs of basil overlying peppers, sliced cherry tomatoes, eggplant, and a nice spread of hummus. I just asked "you liked it right?" to which she replied in an irritated tone, "yes." For some reason, I can't recall what my other dining companions ordered and have no photographical evidence for some reason. Solid spot
