I visited Veroni Cafe while in town for AppleFest and was pleasantly surprised. The menu offers a good variety of authentic Mexican dishes. Each table receives complimentary chips and salsa, which were fresh and tasty. I tried the taco salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion size was just right. I have to rave about the guacamole. I thought it was very flavorful and complimented my salad quite well. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and answered any questions patrons had. Give Veroni Cafe a try the next time outing the area! read more

We won a gift card to this restaurant and decided to give them a try. The food was amazing, very flavorful with lots to choose from. The staff were very nice and patient. It's a small restaurant, but cozy. We would definitely eat there again. read more

Great food and the service was really pleasant. They were a little slow but that was due to the popularity of the restaurant. I had the Veroni Cafe Burrito and it was enormous but delicious. The ambiance is quaint and quiet. Perfect for parties up to about six (6) people. read more

I felt the service here catered heavily to certain visitors, especially Caucasian guests, making it seem like they were trying too hard to please one group while neglecting others. It was obvious they really wanted to be "liked" It took a long time for someone to take our order, and when the food arrived, it was incorrect and cold. Unfortunately, the experience left my family feeling out of place, as we didn't fit the 'high-end' image that seemed to be favored. I've seen similar comments in other reviews but didn't think much of them until I experienced it myself. The staff is young, and while they're polite, it felt like they were out of place and maybe better suited to a different environment, like playing with their friends or out being active, not working. Overall, the experience left me feeling uneasy, and I don't think we'll return. read more

Excellent food. Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere she's been in business for many years

This food is amazing. I'm picky and I found everything I tried exceptionally well done. I've been there twice and Monica is super friendly, figures out what you like and makes excellent suggestions. Love this place and I'm going back. Also, if you're looking for a great margarita then this is your place. read more

This is a small, local eatery in downtown Chambersburg. The outside is very cute and the employees were very kind. I decided to try this place since someone recommended the salsa to me. I was also at the library so this was a convenient stop. Apparently the salsa is famous in town because they sell it in a few grocery stores. I'm not a salsa connoisseur and I don't usually munch on salsa and chips, but the salsa didn't disappoint. The nachos were also great - probably the best I've heard. Typically nachos can be overloaded and filled with cheese, but this one was a nice balance. I devoured it and plan to eat the rest for dinner. read more

Cute little restaurant run by a mother and daughter (from what I've seen). This place is more "authentic" than Montezuma's. So do yourself a favor, give Montezuma's a break and check out Veroni's. We ordered the enchiladas, tortas, and tacos. Now, my mama's enchiladas are the best enchiladas I've ever had (of course), so it's not fair when I try other people's enchiladas. I am also super spoiled after living in New Mexico which is the Chile capital of the US... With all that said, the enchiladas were good, but not my favorite sauce. And that's all personal preference! Everyone's sauce is different! It varies per family! Torta's and Tacos were made fresh. Service was fast, food delicious, and my wallet wasn't hit too hard. All very inexpensive for large portions. So next time you're craving Mexican food, check out Veroni's cafe! (P.S. If you like this place, then I recommend checking out Don Checko's. Try their Tortas and Tacos as well!!) read more

Second time at this establishment as a recommendation by a friend. First time we had an ok experience. Second time, I tried to order the same thing, it came out totally different. Queso came out in a small bowl with no spoon or serving plates and was too thin to pick up with the chips. Don't plan to go back. read more

Excellent food ! Wonderful fast service ! Best Mexican food in Chambersburg ! These ladies know what they're doing !

Great food. Everything we ate was made there. Gluten free options. Staff very friendly and personable. Nice little seating area and good prices. Will be back! read more

This Mexican spot has to be the best around the area. It's ran by two lovely ladies and they do a great job serving up some Mexican food. While entering you'll notice that this place isn't very big which isn't a bad thing. The menu had a decent amount of things to choose from and today for lunch I has the carne asada tacos and one chicken quesadilla taco. Carne Asada tacos- These bad boy were great! The beef was well seasoned and the green sauce went perfectly with the rest of the taco. I love little place like this that also gives you a lime for each taco you order. Chicken quesadilla taco- The outer shell was a fried tortilla with marinated chicken and all the fixings. The red sauce was fantastic and matched perfectly with everything. If you do order tacos be sure to try these tacos and if only order 3 max because 4 will leave you in a food coma. I'll definitely be back again! read more

Stopped in for lunch. There is metered street parking - 25 cents for an hour. It's not fancy but it's good. I opted for the carne asada burrito. Well stuffed with tasty goodies and very filling. The green chili sauce with it was good and spicy. Great spot, good lunch, very inexpensive. read more

I love coming here! I've been coming to Veroni since before Covid and it is one of my favorite small businesses. I went again today and had a great time. The ladies are so kind and hospitable, the food is always delicious and consistent, the environment is comforting and is all around a 10/10. I tell everyone I know to come here and the people who have enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you for the amazing service and delicious food, always! read more

Food was amazing! there was two things that put me off though. prices on website vs in restaurant are a little different, and the hosts were standing in the corner by the register laughing and pointing at me and my friend. Took our food to go and left :/ not coming again read more

I was excited to try this place after reading all the hyped up reviews but was a little disappointed. Staff was very friendly and the salsa was excellent but there are much better local authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. The food was just ok. read more

Food is delicious and the owners and staff are so accommodating to your food need. Best Mexican cuisine in area.

Always great. Salsa and chips are the best in the area. Traditional chicken tacos are a favorite

Don't buy gift cards for Veroni Cafe. Give cash instead. You can get more elsewhere. First visit was closed on Saturday. Second visit, on Friday, was sold out of coffee, appetizers, Tres Leches, and Flan. What kind of Cafe doesn't have coffee? I have nothing more to say. read more

Fantastic food, and excellent service for a reasonable price!

Great food, moderately priced & excellent waitress! Tacos & burritos are very good & they have special selections everyday! Monica really helps you make a choice that fit your taste well! Carne Assad's is outstanding! read more

I ordered the carne asada burrito & bottled water. Total price $12. Way too expensive! The burrito was small size... almost no meat, a couple cheap slivers of meat. Burrito had zero flavor. Tortilla was straight from a supermarket package. The place was completely empty. I was forced to listen to personal conversation that had no business being talk about in front of customers. Service was mediocre. There is no napkins or salt/pepper shakers on table. The kitchen is a house stove, pans from home, & a stainless steel counter. I was highly anticipating the place based on reviews but it was not anything worth the wait. read more

Fantastic service, and great food. Not from the area, but found the other reviews on Yelp. I will definitely be coming back for the sandwiches. Tried the chicken, ground beef, and steak, and found that the steak options (taco, tostadas) that we tried were the best. Also, the best flavors were in the Cuban sandwich. My belly is completely filled, and I want to go back in there and eat another one. Great spot! read more

Easily the best Mexican food you can get in the Chambersburg area. The staff are really nice too! My personal recommendation is the Carne Asada Tacos! read more

We had dinner here last night and were blown away by the food quality! Coming from Southern Arizona, we have had our fair share of Mexican food (good and bad). The Veroni Cafe was simply excellent! The menu is simple and affordable. It is obvious that the owner really cares about the quality of the food and the service. For food, we had some beef tips tacos which were very fresh, not dripping with oil or greasy like some places, and very very tasty. My partner had the chicken taco salad which he loved and I had a chicken taco combination plate. The chicken taco was very tasty, the rice and the beans were very good too and not sloppy/dripping off the plate like some places. Overall, the food and the service at this little cafe is top-notch. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Veroni cafe and I know I will be going back regularly. You should definitely go out and try this place! It's great that we have this downtown! read more

Excellent! the food here is very fresh. Had the carne asada burrito was fantastic! Great separation of flavors. Not just much in a wrap!!!

Monica greeted us at our table as we were there for lunch. I have been here before and have had something different every time. It is Mexican cuisine. You receive complimentary chips and salsa - hot like I like it. I got the Chicken Quesadilla and my friend got something like a taco salad. At the end, Monica surprised us with a new chocolate, cinnamon and caramel dessert - very yummy. You won't be sorry and the tab was only $16 + tip for two. read more

Stopped here for lunch with my husband and we really enjoyed it! We had nachos, I got the chicken burrito and he had the beef burrito. The portion sizes are huge! I took home half a burrito and my husband took home part too. The food was delicious and the service was great too. The space itself is a perfect lunch spot. Keep in mind when you are going it is street parking so bring quarters (.25 for an hour of parking). read more
