My wife and I are baseball fans. While traveling we would look for minor league stadiums to visit. When I was planning our trip up to Quebec I found the Vermont Lake Monsters. The minor league team of the Oakland A's farm system. They were playing the night we would be there so I ordered tickets. We spent the afternoon visiting the shops in old Burlington and had a very nice lunch at Sweetwaters. I drove to the field had no problem getting a parking spot in the facilities parking lot, $3. The field is your typical minor league field with lots of advertising posters on the outfield walls. Our seats were behind home plate and were covered. Good thing as it was now raining pretty hard and the lightening in the distance did not bode well for a game that night. The staff did it's best to keep the fans in the stands entertained while the umpire and team officials decided whether to play the game in the weather. The lightening storm convinced them to cancel the game. I gave our rain checks to a couple sitting in front of us as we would not be able to use them. We did have a nice visit to Centennial Field perhaps next time we'll get to see a baseball game. read more

The price for the tickets can not be beat. The beer is decent and the crowd is full of energy. The stadium is old but works well. There is an area for kids to play on which is great! The announcers did a great job of keeping everyone involved with the game. The players signed autographs before the game, not sure if they always do that but it was fun to be able to interact with them too. read more

Went to see the Lake Monsters play the Iron Birds on Sat. night. The ball park is a little difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area. It's snuggled behind a bunch of residential homes. After we located it we were able to find parking just up the street at a local school. The field is part of the University of Vermont college complex and although it is rather dated it serves its purpose well. We snagged 4 front row seats right behind home plate for only $8 ea. Game was entertaining, DD loved "Champy" the team mascot, although she was having trouble pronouncing his name and ended up calling him "Trampy" whatever works. The Lake Monsters won the game and getting out was easy enough. All in all it was a good time watching minor league baseball and relaxing at the same time. read more

The Vermont Lake Monsters are excellent entertainment. Getting in and out of the stadium is easy if you're willing to walk a little. Tickets are inexpensive and there is a good selection of vendors and beer. If you have kids and they start getting bored there is a fun park behind right field. You can't really watch the game from there, though. read more

Lots of fun. Free parking at Trinity college . The announcer keeps things moving which makes the kids happy. I had tipped to "bring $" after buying a round of beers for $22 knowing there would still be dinner and another round during the evening. That said, the prices are fair so there is nothing to complain about. read more

If I'm being honest, this single A park isn't up to par. Oh wait wrong sport- let's just say it's a roll over double play to end the inning. The fans aren't engaged are more interested having conversation w themselves and as a massive sea monsters fan, it disgusts me. I am also appalled by the bad mid inning activities, like they had a race that was clearly staged and they started doing leap frog during the race, I bet $100 on mustard who was on the lead until he decided to play leap frog. As for the food I didn't buy any here as I bought all my food at Pizza Putt as it has $4 all you can eat pizza as well as Putt Putt and laser tag that is unbelievable. Dash for cash is trash. read more
