This happened two years ago during my senior year of college, (Spring 2023) and it still annoys me…read moreto this day-- so I decided to write a review. I was with a group of friends (all seniors and above the age of 21). I went over to the man working the bar, who could not have been much older than I was. I cheerfully asked him if they sold pitchers of beer, since I was with 5-6 people. He looked at me like I had just asked him some absurdly disrespectful question, and immediately asked for my ID. I willingly handed it over to him, and he asked me for my home address. (No one has ever interrogated me like this, so I said my Mom's current address, I lived with her when I was home from college as she had just been divorced). However, I didn't realize I had not updated my ID yet, the address still was my old house when my parents were together. Because of this mistake, he looked at me weird, tossed my ID in the trash and walked away. I said to him as he was going away exactly what I just explained-- I said I got the address wrong because I recently moved, but that is my real ID. Of course after acting like a total fool, he was too cowardly to come out and apologize, instead he sent his female co-worker out who told me "I needed to calm down." Shocked, I said "look I don't even need a drink I just need my ID so I can drive to school this week." You would have thought I tried to rob them or steal their dog or something. I could not believe the way I was being treated, I approached with a polite manner from the beginning. Keep in mind, I was literally just asking for one pitcher of cheap beer for 5-6 kids who were all of age and had valid IDs with them. I have never been treated that way literally ANYWHERE and I cannot fathom how unhappy, rude, and miserable this man and woman were. I would not have a birthday party there for my kid if they were PAYING me to do so. Glad I got this off my chest...DO NOT GO HERE!

Wow. Get ready for some serious skiing. If you are into rough ungroomed and magnificent moguls,…read moredrops, trees, and cliffs you have found the place. You will not confuse this with Vail's well groomed and gentle slopes. This place is serious. Ok, I don't do mougls. I don't do cliffs. And trees are best viewed from a distance if I'm on my skis. But I confess to loving this place. Just WOW. It was my first visit 9Feb26 but it won't be my last. Young at heart and needing a place to show off your creds on the moguls then go here and bypass Stove. The snow here is far superior to Stowe and I think it's because they face north; no ice but lots of hard pack and soft underfoot. I skied top to bottom over three hours on some wonderful groomed steep blues and blacks. I saw the moguls as I roared past. I wish. I cannot. If you can go for it. (C you know who I'm talking to!) It's old school. The lifts are all doubles. There is no high-speed. And the views you get are to be considered worth the ride. Seventeen minutes to the top with a view of Mt. Washington in the distance. Did I say WOW. The base is a bit confusing for the first timer so here's some advice. - the first entrance is the hotel and baby slopes. - drive up the road for lot 3 on the right but don't park yet - turn left and drive up to the lodge and unload your gear - the driver can drive back down to lot 3 and park. - plenty of cubbies in the lodge and places to gear up - there are three main lifts here. get a map. Have fun. I'll be back.

Everything could be improved. Everything is old and outdated in the resort…read more Our shuttle on our first day had a leaky window with rain water constantly streaming in. When another rider asked the driver if they really made him drive the bus with water pouring in. The driver explained that the shuttle was mothballed but they had to resurrect it because the mechanic had been out sick and the resort didn't have enough operating shuttles for Christmas week. The glaring issue was the "on demand" shuttle system which was terrible and had extremely long wait times. They just rolled out a new Smuggs Go App (think Uber for shuttles but awful). Multiple times my family including young kids would be left waiting in single digit/negative temps as empty shuttles went by or drivers told us there would another coming despite them having room to bring us down the hill. Even the shuttle drivers were complaining about the app and how it was supposed to be rolled out in the summer for a test run but instead was rolled out a week or so prior to our trip at Christmas time. The drivers said it was done to save paying a dispatcher but they might want to pay that dispatcher as the old system was much better as we had never experienced these issue before when we have come. Almost every family we encountered expressed their extreme disappointment with the shuttle system with many saying it's the reason they will never come back. Due to the app you should not plan on trying to go back to your condo to make lunch with your kids due to the hour wait times to get back to the house and then the same wait time to get back to skiing. Instead try to eat some of the awful cafeteria food at the "lodge" or in the village. Only decent thing is the slope side waffle cabin! If you want to spend your whole vacation waiting...waiting to ski because snow makers blew the snowmaking guns on the chair lift icing it over and covering it in man made snow (which somehow no one realized until the start of the ski day (resulting in the delaying of kids lessons actually starting)...waiting for 60-70 minutes for shuttles to pick you up every time you try to go anywhere...waiting in massive lift lines because all the lifts are shut down...then Smugglers Notch might be your spot. If you want to actually ski and do activities without spending multiple hours a day waiting, I would go anywhere but here.

Quite enjoyed this lovely mini golf course, although the 2 hour wait really, REALLY sucks. Come…read moreprepared for this. Cascades is beautifully maintained, but the holes are a bit boring, lots of short putts, everything is PAR 2. Not very many obstacles TBH, maybe I was spoiled on the West Coast with awesome windmill and skill obstacles. The super-low skill level probably makes it more kid-friendly, and mostly it was parents with young kids. They know where the market is, tho seniors and teenagers get $1 off regular price ($13 instead of $14) what a deal, LOL. I'd come back, but goddamn, bring some water or food or something, it's a long f'n wait. We even joked about calling Skip the Dishes while we we were waiting. Only decent mini-golf in Montreal area, apparently. Worse wait than Disneyland. Expect to stand in line (line ride) for at least an hour, then another hour (bench ride) until you golf. Kudos to all the kids who kept their behaviour controlled through the brutal boring wait. Keeps the ice cream shop flush I guess. They are definitely set up better to sell ice cream to a captive audience than they are to accommodate hoards of folks coming to mini-golf. The real money is there after all.

I used to come here as a kid with my parents…read more The course is so much fun and brought back many great childhood memories. Tons of different pars and challenges. The fact that each hole is on a different level makes this mini putting experience enjoyable and different from other places. However, be advised that there is an initial 40min wait to get to the first hole on a busy day. It is still worth it. Prices are decent and not too expensive for what you play for. Grab an ice cream at the local ice cream shop in the same complex when you're done, it's delicious!
