Ok so after playing a few courses in the area I can give Williston the review it deserves. This is…read morea good course. And by good course, I mean one that is very tough, beautifully maintained, and priced at a value for the quality of the golf experience. I have played this course twice in late June, one mid-week round and once during the weekend. I will warn the weekend round was slower (4:45), but that is to be expected for a popular course during the middle of summer. Now onto the course itself, as I said before this is a tough but fun challenge. You are rewarded for hitting the fairway, but are certainly punished if your tee shot is errant....and o boy was I punished. Another fun aspect of the course is the greens feature challenging unjulation with a couple of putts that flew right off, even though I thought the ball was "lightly" struck. Next let's talk price, 18 holes on a weekend with a cart ran roughly $55. Yes, this is not cheap....but it is priced on par with most courses in the area. Considering the experience, it was good value for them money. If I were being uber critical (which let's face it I'm on Yelp so I obviously am), I would say the food and snack area could use some menu improvements to really bump this course up to five stars. The lunch we ordered midround, chicken sandwich and a club sandwich, was average and I could tell food was an afterthought at this course. That small negative aside, I can say if you are looking for a good experience in the area, or a place to play while on holiday in Stowe, look no further than the Williston Golf Club

Really great local track in Shelburne, VT. Senior green fees were $79 w/ cart & CC 1% fee. Course…read morewas in really good condition and greens were about 10 on the stimp meter. We were a 2some and played in 3.5 hours. There is water on the course so bring your own yeti! Couple of holes are blind shots so good luck where to hit it. Really enjoyed the course and highly recommend it.

Kwini has made a bunch of changes and undergone transformation under new ownership. The current…read morecourse is in much better condition with very nice fairways now. The roughs are not as comparable as some of the fancier more expensive courses around. The greens are good, some of which are very tricky. They can be a bit inconsistent though depending on the sun with some being very fast and some being very slow. The sand traps are in pretty good shape and overall the course has enough interest to play repeatedly as a member or non-member. Speaking of membership, it's one of the more affordable ones around. For seniors who use the senior tees, the course is quite playable. But if you want longer distance, for the majority of the holes, if you play from the back tees the distance should more than suffice. Fairways are in excellent shape with a dearth of water hazards (maybe 3 on the hole course). Water is less of a challenge than sand but there are some elevation changes to keep things interesting. The back 9 has a little more variety and is a little more challenging. Customer service is generally good but can vary. Clubhouse is fairly basic but has a decent choice of food. This is strictly a golf club, not a country club with pools and tennis courts and the prices reflect this. All in all, the course doesn't beat you up and you can go away with a sense of playing a good round of golf even if you aren't familiar with it. I would certainly recommend this course as a very solid public course. Lastly, their updated practice facilities are very good (as good as any you'll find around) and the ball machine with the tracker technology is pretty fun if you are looking to hit a few at the range.
