Dishonest We traded in phones and bought insurance to cover in case of damage. We were told that if either phone was damaged, take it in and it would be replaced or repaired at our discretion. One phone can't use loud speaker and intermittently works regularly. Verizon said to pay an additional $50 or drive and hour away for some small company to repair it. Don't buy their insurance, it doesn't do anything buy raise your phone bill. read more

It is sad that Verizon Wireless has employees that will lie right to your face for sales and commission. We just paid 2000. today to settle a Verizon account that we were lied to about. We were told we were eligible for an upgrade. My husband and I were both told we would owe the same amount for our phones that we owed on our last phones. It was part of a Memorial Day special. Everything was asked and confirmed 3 times. We were assured we would owe almost 300. for the rest of the cost of our old phones but we would forfeit the 4 payments we had already made. Meaning we would pay 12 months. This was not a problem as we only would be paying near 300. We signed everything digitally, got all set and went home. The paperwork we received stated we owed 800+ for each phone. Because we trusted Matthew the salesperson instead of reading it on paper we took a huge financial hit. Employees, supervisors, managers, corporate, nobody cared. Not their problem. So, instead of destroying our credit we had to pay 2000. to pay in full 2 phones and 2 months service on each phone. I will never ever ever use Verizon again. They told untruths years ago and I thought I would give them another chance. My mistake. read more

Verizon customer service (by phone) had not been the least bit helpful in resolving my ongoing issues. I was completely frustrated and decided to visit my local store as a last resort. I ended up working with Ricky. Not only did he listen and empathize with what I had been dealing with, he showed that he actually cared whether or not I stayed with Verizon. He was the epitome of exemplary customer service and addressed each of my problems and concerns. I will bypass the phone and online support for any future issues and deal directly with him. Just got off the phone with customer service - again - a month ago a salesman in Richmond Ky tried to terrorize my wife, saying her phone would explode and burst into flames at any moment. Put his personal phone number into her phone and tried to high pressure her into buying a phone from him - right now. Came to their allied store next day was double-talked at first by their salesmen - no manager was ever around - they said "well, we have one that kinda circulates between stores". I called their customer service number numerous times, nice people but completely ineffective. After over a month - Not even an apology from the local reps! Tennessee customer service gave me a line that my call would be used in training and - blah, blah, blah. Corporate-ese for we are blowing you off. There are a lot of phone companies that offer similar products - After 20 years of being a Verizon customer - I'm taking my business down the road where sales people treat you with respect.
