This Verizon location inside of Opry Mills is an authorized retailer location, not a Verizon corporate ran store. The main difference I noticed with that is the level of service and the variety of accessories sold at the location. We popped by on our recent trip to Opry Mills, as my dad, who is a long time Verizon customer, was having issues with his charger and wanted to pick a new one up from a Verizon store. Our visit was brief as we had a mission, and we accomplished it fairly easily. The Associates were standard sales associates. Greeted us when we walked in, but quickly lost interest once we told them what we were after. We made our way to the accessories, scooped one up and got rang out without issue. Overall, the visit was okay. Service could have been better and prices were as expected, but pops wanted what he wanted at whatever cost. read more

Rayden (I am guessing on the spelling) was super helpful and informative. I was in need of a phone after my last one decided to stop holding a charge after one too many drops. I called around every location before finally this store had the stock rather than needing to order it. Rayden even held the phone for me before I got there so that way it wouldn't sell out (the holidays are crazy). Rayden also offered a lot of upgrade options and different equipment that I didn't need or have much use for but if you're needing anything extra, he will find you the best deal possible. All in all a great experience but be sure to ask for Rayden. read more

I changed my service to Verizon and the sales lady lied to me from the beginning. I was told I would get free phones and I didn't. I was told my service would improve and it didn't. I was told they would pay for my other service to change over and it didn't. I was told to bring in my bill and they would beat it and it actually went up $195 per month. Now I went back to my original company and by the way I'm very happy with AT&T and I received a bill from Verizon for the phones that they were supposed to be free to begin with and they took my 3 month old phones and traded them in. Now they have my phones and they are billing me and I can get in touch with the Loyality team number or the customer service team to help me with this $7,000 phone bill. It was a bait and switch situation and the representative named Laura Lazas said she would get it fixed and after 3 months I got tired of her lies and switch back. I highly recommend you not to switch and if you do, don't use her a a representative. She isn't worth a poot. She says she will get it fixed and it won't happen. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!'nn read more

T-Mobile recently raised prices on older accounts. I found a family plan of 3 lines I wanted to sign up for with bring your own device and went to the store to compete the sale. The middle aged man working had zero interest in helping with a bring your own phone plan. He was insistent that there is zero reason anyone would not want to sign up for Verizon with the feee iPhone 14 offer and that was the only sign up he would help with I left the store and completed having 3 new lines of service posted to Verizon on the Unlimited Ultimate plan. It is shocking this sales associate was so insistent on only helping if it was the highest commission item that he would refuse to compete a sale for a lower priced item. Update: You email as requested and crickets- no reply or help, this franchisee simply does not care read more

Some of these stores are "authorized retailers" and I'm 0-2 with these types as far as customer service goes. Verizon is too expensive for agents to be this apathetic about helping paying customers. read more

If in addition to a new phone and wireless service, you are in need of a full dose of deceitful business practices, this is the vendor for you. They are more than happy to provide a full dose of every aspect of a sleazy sales experience. You'll want to take a shower after visiting. Verizon customer for over 30 years. Wife wanted a new phone. Entered store and made just two points very clear: No out-of-pocket expense, and no change to any of the plans that were in place on 5 family phones. The sales rep lied, told her just what she wanted to hear, and then did exactly the opposite. $200 charge to our account, change in all plans on the account, and not a thing Cellular Sales will do about it. Ok the most cut throat environment at this store! I honestly think at least one woman or compassionate father someone with that can at least act nice or concerned. Its an awful look for a store in one of Nashville's most popular and historical attractions Opry mills mall ! All that judging ppl before you serve them stuff is old school. This is 2024, no way i should be scared to walk in a place of business and be worried about not being served equally based on my appearance, BOGUS! Ordered phones online supposed to pick up my twins sons iphones for their 16th birthday. After reading emails about my order i still called the store to make sure it was ready. The man said he couldnt find the order or any deliveries, told him i had emails. he said come in we'll help. when i got there I had a state sealed temp id ..said he couldnt take it go add a authorized user with an id . Got home customer explains even though they have billed me for the phones i dont have ..i couldnt add an authorized user without account activation?? she tells me to take my birth cert with the id and for sure i could get the phones, she said she would make a note and cellular sales was notified before hanging up i asked several times so when i take this to these men i can get my phones. She says yes and i go back to cellular sales. 30 mins before close i come in they ask for id i tell them what the customer service said ...they wouldnt even look touch the computer even try to see what was going on in my account. instead he calls his boss who says they have to follow proceedure and they are not associated with verizons customer service??? at that point in tears i asked them to at least look at the account ... The man said he was sorry there was nothing he can do as he locked the door behind me ... i was embarrassed and broken .. i was in dirty work clothes single black mother tryna make my twins bday wish.. there was nothing i could say to make these well dressed white men understand .. i know its not a race thing its a money thing ..guess i looked more like a criminal than a providing mom smh ..next time ill wear my sundays best ! no eye contact no compassion no conversation for ppl who dont look like them. read more

I do NOT recommend Verizon to anyone. I've talked to Representatives Wesley, Tina and Jordan. Customer Service is awful. I'm a loyal customer of 20 years and was treated extremely poor. They do NOT honor their online promotions and are NOT transparent with eligibility for online promotions. Eligibility requirements are not in writing, they are just word of mouth from the Representative, which changes depending on who you're talking to. I was told the market value of my iPhone 7+ (when traded in) is $64 under the Unlimited plan, but depending on which plan you have the market value changes. I was told by (Wesley) you can get $100 for the iPhone 7+ under the Premium Plan. I was also told by another Representative that you can get $200 for the iPhone 7+ under the Premium Plan. Verizon had an online Promotion for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. "Promotion: Get up to $440 when you trade in: Upgrade existing line." Buy this device with an UNLIMITED PLAN + Trade in: Your old device". I was comparing both phones based on 24 months and 30 months. I have actual screenshots of the promotion where it displays my selection of the iPhone 7+ as the phone being traded in and how much the phone will cost monthly under this promotion, which was $2.33/month. I met all criteria, which was detailed in writing. However when talking to a representative they stated that,"eligible unlimited plans" are given that promotion. I have an unlimited plan and it does NOT state in writing which plan is eligible. They told me if i click on (see details) it states which plan. I clicked on (see details) and have screenshots of what is being shown on Verizon.com and again, it does NOT show which plan is eligible. There are also no details in writing showing the "tiered" trade in value of phones Verizon claims to have. I've asked for them to send me links to the "tiered" values and Verizon keeps saying," that's what it is". I was told by Representative, Tina, that she couldn't put in the $2.33/month promotion, until Verizon had received my traded in iPhone 7+. Which, I said I wouldn't send in until I had confirmation that the promotion of $2.33/ month for the iPhone 11 / 11 pro was guaranteed. She told me that Verizon should honor that promotion and that she would notate on my account that the $2.33/month is the honored promotion. She also stated if my bill didn't change to call in and put in for a promotion change application and they will honor it. Clearly I was lied to, I had to call in after my bill did not reflect the promotion and Jordan told me that it was notated, but Verizon will not honor it and the only way to honor it is to upgrade my plan $10/month. ABSOLUTELY NOT VERIZON. There is no accountability for Representatives. They state their first name and that's it. Verizon should issue ID #'s to Representatives to keep them accountable. That way if they say they'll guarantee a promotion, which I was, they can find the employee that stated that and honor it. They say they record their phone conversations, but clearly they don't use them. I asked for notation on my account to keep Verizon accountable, yet they took advantage of me by lying to me, trapping me into a phone that I now can NOT afford and trying to up sell me (as a form of helping me). They still have NOT honored the guaranteed promotion I was told I would receive once I sent in my iPhone 7+. Verizon needs to make this right and honor the promotion. Take care of the loyal customers you have, Verizon. You have better deals being offered to non customers, than you do for loyal customers and It's a shame that Verizon is teaching these deceitful tactics to their employees. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about sales associate Preston at the Opry Mills location. We needed to do an urgent upgrade due to some other unfortunate circumstances. Preston not only helped us in a speedy manner, but he went above and beyond to tell us all our options.
