I wasn't too happy after finding out that I was told my iPad was upgrade and found someone switched devices over. My phone was the eligible device. I was told that if i wanted to return my newer iPad Pro, they'd wave my restock fee and refund my money. I chose to keep the new iPad and they returned my original iPad. They worked with me but now paying for 2 iPad Pros.. A lot of time wasted. I appreciate them willing to correct their mistake tho. Whoever switched devices, needs to be written up or terminated if you find out who did it. read more

I have been a customer of Verizon for around 20 years now. Never had a problem but my phone and services originated in Saginaw at the time because there were no Verizon stores here in Midland. I am stunned that there are so many negative reviews on the Midland store but I am really not that surprised. My guess is there is a high turnover of floor staff so the people in the store really do not care as they are in-between waiting for a better job to come up. I must also concede that I have had less than stellar experience with this store. I fault the district manager for not being on top of this and I would think Verison Corporate would be quickly engaged in getting this store on the right path. My experience with this particular store is not as bad as the others listed but enough so that I could only give a 4 star rating. Buyer beware. read more

Not a good experience at all. My phone was not working, arrived there only to be told I had to have an appointment-but they would fit me in due to calling me an emergency. (you can walk right into the Verizon in Jackson, are Covid numbers are here are better than theirs). I had to get a new phone-they did NOT help me set it up!!! Due to Covid they said. Yet, my friend went to Jackson, walked right in, they helped her set up her phone, even connected to her car. Why the difference in Midland? This is NOT ok-I got no discount on my phone and I got no help. I pleaded with them to help me set up my phone. They said they could not, but to follow the 4 step paper instruction sheet they provided me. I explained that I am not great with technology, could they please help me. They said, nope, follow the sheet, you will be good. Well, guess what? No it wasn't! and at that point my only option was to call or text- I was unable to do either because my phone wasn't working. My girlfriends stepmother passed away so we brought her dad into this Verizon location to get help with cancelling her line and upgrading her dad to a smart phone. When we came in we were greeted right away by Gabe. We told him what we needed help with and he was on it right away! We were very impressed that he didnt talk down to him like he was stupid for not knowing anything about smart phones. Instead he took the time to explain to her dad how to work his new smart phone and get the other line taken care. We are visiting here for the funeral from California but next time we come back (when we have more time) to visit family we will be back here to switch our providers to Verizon and see Gabe! OMG. What a horrible phone cellular provider! Once they sign you up they forget you. Terrible service in person (long waits, rude). Even worse when you try to get help by calling. Their phone tree goes out of the way to prevent you from talking to a human. DO NOT USE THIS CELLULAR CARRIER. I'm going to sell the stock short. A company this bad won't be in business long. Reminds me of the old PC company, Gateway, that was renowned for its terrible customer service, and subsequently went bankrupt. read more

I refuse to go into this location for anything anymore. I would take the long trip to any other Verizon location. The store is rarely ever not overflowing with customers that are waiting for assistance. I never get any help, and I'm positive it's due to my looking younger than 18. Nearly everytime I've been in this store, I've come in, stood in the line, had an older person come in line behind me, and the greeter goes to them instead of me. I remember particularly when I came in to pay full price for a phone as a surprise gift to someone, and nobody would assist me. They always took other customers who had come in after me. On days I'd tried to make purchases at this store when it WASN'T packed, It's like pulling teeth to try to get someone to help you that isn't acting like you're trying to pull them away from something brutally important (like staring off into them all while standing behind a greeter's counter.) Their representative's personalities are nearly non existent and pretty much not helpful. they seem completely clueless as to what's going on. Like I said, go to any other location but this one. FYI Verizon in Midland, I'm 21, married, and have quite a bit of money to blow in your store. But because you're a bunch of jerks, you aren't going to get my business. read more

For being in the business of communications, Verizon fails in the reality of communications. I called the local number for the store on Joe Mann Blvd, and I ended up talking to someone in god-knows-where, who never heard of Midland, Michigan, the town/store I was desperately attempting to reach. This inept person trucked me to the store in Mio, Michigan...who trunked me back to the number which connected me with the same inept person who didn't know where midland was. What a joke...Im through with Verizon. After 27 minutes od wasting my time, I made 0% progress. read more

Place was bright and friendly as were the workers I encountered. All of my questions were handled with respect and class. The employee I dealt with was knowledgeable and kind. He even understood and helped with finding a phone that would work in the area where I live. Would recommend this place easy. read more

This store is the absolute worst. I try my absolute best to never shop there, it's always a terrible experience. They spend their whole time trying to sell you stuff you don't want or need instead of listening to what your looking for in a phone. They lied to me and said if I bought a certain phone I would get a free tablet with no charges. I asked multiple times if there would be any charges for the tablet and every time no was the answer. I then received a $50-$100 instillation fee and a monthly charge for that "free" tablet. I recently was forced to buy my phone from this location and the guy spent the whole time trying to sell me smart watches after I told him I don't wear watches. He then proceeds to relentlessly sell me any and every accessory to go with my phone even though I told him countless times that I wasn't interested. I ended up buying a cheap phone case (which I later returned) just to get him to shut up. Finally I did try to purchase a bundle which included a Moto mod battery pack, a phone charge, and a screen case. First of the charger they gave me wasn't compatible with my new cell phone. Secondly they made me pay before I saw my the screen protector. When they brought out the screen protector it was shattered straight out of the box. They informed me this was the only one they had in stock. They charged and credited my bill to have a new one sent to my home address. When the screen protector came in, it didn't have adhesive on the entire left edge of the screen protector. Fed up with the quality of the product I tried to return it. They told me I had to just ship it back using a return address in the box shipped to me (which I was lucky enough to save) and my money would be refunded. I sent the package back and two weeks later I have not been reimbursed. I went back into the store to get my money and they tell me I now have to call Verizon and give them a shipping number to get my refund. This has been such a long annoying process. I will NEVER shop at this store again and am considering switching carriers solely because of the poor quality of this store. read more

Went in the other day to look at getting the new Note by Samsung. Let's start with trying to get onto my own account instead of my friend's. Well, they can't help, I had to call their center to do that. Whatever. So I got it switched to my own (person on the phone was actually very helpful.) But the lady who was trying to help me, not so much... I tell her the phone I want, and she pulls it up. I need to pay off my old phone, sure, no problem. Hand her my card and... she can't figure out how to do it. After that fail, we move onto selecting the phone. It's on Lavender Purple for color, perfect! She ticks the blue on, unprompted (I'm a guy, but I love purple.) I tell her to change it back, minor annoyance, but moving on. She asks me if I want to go on their protection plan, I'm thinking, I don't need it, I have had no problem with my previous pho...SHE CLICKED IT WITHOUT ME SAYING ANYTHING! Then she tries to sell me on a bunch of crap I don't need because they have a bundle deal... I left without buying anything, downloaded the app and preordered it that way.
