This was the worst experience I have had in the 20+ years I have been with verizon. Alexa the manager was horrible. After an hour wait plus some Cody set up our new plan which wasn't the best but we needed atleast 1 new phone upgrade so it is what it is. They didn't have the phone we went there for so they had to order it...annoying but again it is what it is. Cody said it would be at my house in 2 days. Fedex tried to deliver it and I didn't realize I had to sign for it but that makes since given the amount of the phone. I left a signed slip to leave it the next day..fedex lied and said they came when I know for a fact they did not..so I called and they said no problem they would leave it the next day....they did not just put another note next to my signed one!!! I had to drive to Bedford to get it. I go in to have it activated like Cody told me to do and I wait again over 35 minutes when I was told 25. Just to activate a phone that should have been in stock. OK the man with a thick accent (didn't get his name)but seemed like he had some management authorities finally helped me when I told him I was getting frustrated...I was finally leaving and done..I thought until I seen the next day I had no data. I went back and they tried to tell me I had to wait AGAIN. 2 people ahead of me. I said I'm not waiting and I saw this girl whom I knew was the manager because Cody rudely said he would be back in the middle of helping us to go say hi to his manager Alexa came in with her child. I recognized her and she had seen me the second time I came in... I asked her if she was a manager and she said yes...I told her what the issue was and how frustrated I was and she offered no apology what so ever. She said the esim was not connecting to the right phone number. I tried to aske her if the man who put the Sim card in should have done it and she had stupid excuses..even at one point telling me Bedford should have done it! I told her Bedford was where fedex was and she thought I went to Bedford to get the buy the phone because she didn't listen to a word I said. I will never go back to this verizon. (Tall white guy with brown hair). He would not give his name when I asked to complain about him. So, I went down the road a few miles or so and had a great experience at the Verizon store at the corner of Heisley and Mentor Ave. in Mentor. BUT WAIT , THERES MORE,,, while I was at this much better store, 3 other unrelated customers walked in the door with similar complaints about the Manager from the store across from Dennys. Revision: This is now upgraded from to . Went back today and spoke directly to manager who had us in and out with a refund in all of 10-15 minutes. I spent Damn near an hour and a half on hold with customer service the other day. I don't care if it takes two days to show up in my account. It's processed and I have a refund receipt. Bought a pair of AirPod Pro Max $550 headphones. Guy tried the selling point of these are normally $700 but are on sale for $550 (they are normally $550 everywhere) anyhow. After reading and watching reviews they weren't going to work out for working out as they have condensation issues and aren't waterproof either. Tried returning them the very next day never out of packaging or anything. Spoke to original salesperson and the on duty manager, They said they were having trouble processing returns. Mail them in for a return. Uhhhh I don't want to mail them then wait for the return to be processed then wait that much longer on my return. I want to return them now. They said they couldn't do it. I then called a customer service number and he tried to expedite it but said the store has a different inventory than they have access to and they have to be returned in store. Well today is day 3. I will not be leaving this store without my $588 (after taxes) one way or another. The bad thing is I was going to get a different pair of AirPods and a new case and screen protector so not all commission would have been lost but now I want absolutely nothing from the store. I will buy any future Verizon purchases from Best Buy where the customer service is a little better. You would thing the Verizon store was the best place to buy Verizon products. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! - Saleswoman talked me into replacing my existing jetpack and they sent me a new one that after 4 hours with technical support they realized that the jetpak was not compatible with Verizon. Went in to get dad's line transferred to my account. They handed us a sheet of paper and pointed out a number to call to get that done. Fine. We sat in the parking lot and made the call. The friendly lady on the line asked if i could go inside the Verizon store and ask someone to see if they can access my account. They could not. And, that's when things got stupid. The guy tried twice and, as i was getting next steps for him from the lady on the phone (on speakerphone), he just up & walked away from me without a word. Website showed hours of 9am til 9 Pm for dec 23. So I got out to the mentor store at 850am. At 903 one of the employees informed me that the website is wrong, they open at 10. Couldn't have been more aggravated! Went back at 430 pm, gave them my name and cell number, sat around 30 minutes watched people who came in after us get taken care of!!!! Finally a girl comes up and ask if I was Taylor I said no, she asked how long we were waiting because there is nobody else on the list. She felt bad bad took us! The store seems great when you first walk in, someone greets you and takes your name & number however, it serious falls short in the customer service department. I spent over 30 minutes just standing around. At least they could add more seating. There was literally no place to sit. Even though I was there at 12:15 on a Tuesday. I don't know if it is just this verizon store but the customer service is terrible. Everytime I go in there is about a 30 minute wait. And usually there will be about 4 or 5 employees just standing around not helping any customers. They customer service is very bad and everything is overpriced especially the accessories. Is it possible to give zero stars? If I could, I would. This store employs the most deceptive business practices I have ever experienced. I just spent more than 30 minutes on the phone with Verizon trying to get out of a "free Hum" (that I didn't really want or need). The store employees told me it was "totally free" as a gift if I changed my plan, which they said would be cheaper per month. Sounded like a win-win until my new bill came with $143 of unexpected charges. I have since learned that I can handle any and all of my cell phone needs through non-commissioned Best Buy employees. I went to the Verizon store to see if I could upgrade my old iPhone 4 for the iPhone 6. I knew there was such thing as early edge but I knew nothing about it. Not knowing what to expect, I walked into the store where a nice man took my info. I waited to be helped and was so glad I got helped by Lisa. She was so personable and helped me make the smartest decision on how to get the iPhone 6. She didn't push me into buying anything under pressure but she gave me great advice. Having had a really rushed experience with our previous carrier, only to result in a crummy contract and poor cell service, I was very pessimistic when entering Verizon. They are VERY careful to limit Covid exposure, and let few people into the store, and work with nearly no contact. We worked with Lacey, and explained that we were previously rushed and hated the experience. She was fantastic! She understood exactly what we wanted and needed immediately, and showed us her recommendations. She found ways for us to save additional money. Because we were not rushed, we started asking about other items that the store carries. Because of Verizon's pricing, we left with a contract for nearly the same cost as we had with Sprint, but included 2 phones and an iPad mini (had been looking at them anyway). And, because of a special pricing offer, we left with some Mophie UV Sanitizers with wireless charging stations for Christmas gifts (similar UV to PhoneSoap). We were really happy with our overall transaction, and Lacey thoroughly explained the contract, the devices, and anything we pointed at. No pushing - the iPad and Mophies were all us. Have gotten several bills for much higher of a price then told. Have tried contacting store numerous times and unable to get through on hold. Have texted and called sales reps cell phone and only received a text back with no confirmation of my question on when I could setup a time to call back. Simply want to talk to one of the reps who quoted me the price to understand the discrepancy. Very displeased with the lack of customer service at this store. read more

I absolutely HATE going to Verizon stores. I'm not sure what it is, but I always leave extremely irritated and frustrated. Maybe it's the wait, maybe it's the strange "check in" process, maybe it's the arrogant workers or maybe it's the amount of things they type into that computer when you are only requesting the smallest of things. I'm not sure, but it sucks. My last experience was no different. I was there for about 20 minutes waiting, then another 20 while the guy fiddled with my phone and then announced "I don't know what to tell you". Really? is that your customer service? He then wound up calling tech support who fixed it in under 5. I also inquired about differences in prices between carriers and instead of telling me what they offer versus others, he simply said that different carriers have different prices. Steven Randy and Taylor, the other managers, are amazing and gave me a great deal on the Roadside Assistance HUM product, which my sales rep, Thom, pitched. Thom got everything done quickly and efficiently and was seemlessly working with his management staff to create the best experience I have ever had in a cellphone store. We were ready to renew our contract with Verizon, and so we decided to go during the snow storm on Dec. 15th. Our specialist, Andy Kosch was absolutely terrific. Verizon was running a bunch of promos and discounts, and Andy busted a move to get us the very best deals possible. This was the best experience I have ever had in a Verizon store. Andy got all our info transferred to our new phones and answered every question we had! He was patient and courteous and really helpful. I had fun taking all your tablets & phones off the displays to hang & pulling signs out of their holders. I also enjoyed chasing the employees around with the merchandise claw pole & clawing their heads & butts. Oh, & I also really enjoyed trying to guess the password of an employees phone they left sitting out. We came to your stupid store to bring a pay stub so we could get an employee discount. The one star reviews are accurate. I walked into this Verizon store to purchase a new charger for my Google Pixel just over 2 years old. I had to give my phone number so "the charger is covered under warranty on your account". The salesman says "Oh, your eligible for a new phone". I said that I didn't want a new phone. Salesman plugs my phone into their charger and suddenly "Oh. It's not charging. It must be the charging port itself. Let me take it in back and see if I can blow any dirt out of the port". 5 minutes later he comes back, plugs my phone in and says "Well it didn't work. Looks like you're going to need a new phone". I was so highly suspicious I told the salesman that I didn't want a new phone and I'd see about getting it fixed. I went across the street to Best Buy and asked if they could check my phone because I thought I needed a new charger but wasn't sure if it was the charger or the phone itself. Imagine that!! My phone is just fine after purchasing a new charger. NEVER AGAIN Verizon!! Your sales reps scam, lie, and try to cheat people just to sell a phone. Big rip-off. The thing I would like to stress the most is to get whatever quote in writing!! I also was quoted a much lower price, and was really mad when I saw the billing. I did manage to get the billing lowered, but it was extremely frustrating!! I had a salesperson that went on and on about how much she knows, and told me to call her whenever I needed help. I'm a pretty easy going and forgiving guy. But this Verizon store has compelled me to create a yelp account and give it a review. Recently stopped in with a family member to upgrade phones. The whole process went smoothly. That is until our bill arrived. Twice as much what we were quoted and containing charges for things we were told were free. We were also lied to about many other things. Upon returning to the store for clarification, we were greeted with downright nastiness. Customer service is downright pathetic and the weasel salesman is a downright piece of you know what. He deceived us and lied to us after he assured us we would be getting what we agreed to. I don't know if I'm allowed to name names here but I sure would like to warn everyone that he is a bag of scum. Taking advantage of someone for a few dollars in commission so you can hit your numbers and further your awesome career as a cell phone salesman is pretty sweet.
