If I could give this establishment, zero stars are minus stars I definitely would. I was on the phone with tech-support for two hours two days ago. They told me to go into the store show them that my phone was not broken or cracked, and they would start the process of replacing it. I repeatedly asked them if they were certain it would be free because I did not have insurance. They assured me it was I went into the Verizon store Manahawkin yesterday and had the worst customer experience of my life. They told me they could not do anything for me. They could've replaced the phone. They didn't know why they told me to come in here and then they walked away and left me in the store with no one on the floor. I was appalled. A young woman came out, and I asked her where her manager was she handed and hard long story short. She finally told me her manager would be back, told me his name and then "so why do you want to know? He's not going to do anything for you" I explained the problem that I had and I said I was hoping that a manager would be able to help. She was unnecessarily rude. When I called back later in the afternoon and spoke to the manager, he didn't want to tell me the names of the people that I spoke to at the time I was on the phone with Verizon Customer Service supervisor and she was supposed to be writing up a report. The manager finally gave me the young lady's name, but didn't offer any reasonable explanation for the treatment. I asked Customer Service to be escalated to the executive department because I really thought they should know what happened. Apparently they say they cannot do that. They're really sad part about the whole thing is that they could have up charged me to a new phone easily went to Apple turns out there's nothing wrong with my phone. It's Verizon network that's all screwed up. Needless to say after over 20 years with Verizon. I am going to a different carrier. read more

If I can give them zero stars I would. Customer for over 30 years switched to a business line and they completely messed it up and unwilling to help. Their sales team is incompetent and good luck getting in touch with customer service. Went to Xfinity much more knowledgeable and honest. My "free phone" they promised was hidden in invoice $572 and they added an illegal extra line to drive the price down? Do they think we are stupid? Not sure what is happening with this store and location. We've been coming there for years as we are local to the area. During a recent visit to explore options for a phone upgrade and a different plan, we met with two different guys and neither seemed at all interested in helping us. Short answers, most starting with "Oh, you can do that online now. Call this number and they can help you." One young woman (Breana) however did help us and seemed genuinely enthused about her job, so this review gets a star for her, and her alone. Way to go, Breana! Not sure how these folks are getting compensated but if I were in their shoes I'd be trying to help the customer get the best phone and plan for their needs and money, and maybe work on some cross or upsells. What an opportunity rich, yet wasted, environment. We are joking in my house about why Verizon Wireless even HAS locations anymore because these folks are getting paid to do nothing, except Breana of course! read more

This place needs a new store manager. NASTY NASTY NASTY STAFF!!!! I should have read the reviews before going to this location. Rushing me the second I got there because they were appointment only.. I called for 2 days trying to get someone on the phone for an appointment. Being I could not get someone on the phone, I decided to drive there hoping to purchase a new phone as I dropped my phone in the water. There was literally 1 customer inside the store and the sales rep that came outside was nasty from the second she greeted me. Long story short, 2 nasty responses later I decided there was no way I'm dealing with being spoken to like I'm a an idiot. I told the rep I was going somewhere else and walked out. I'm writing this review on my new Samsung S20 purchased at Best Buy along with accessories and warranty plan. Will never step foot in this place again. read more

I wish I read these reviews before coming into this store. It takes quite a lot for me to use my energy to publicly complain about an experience (seriously, look at my reviews of other places). I wanted to upgrade my phone and hear my options. My sales associate (female, brunette, white) could not be less interested in helping me. She was not kind. She did not attempt to give me any guidance. I have a grandfathered in data plan and a phone that was eligible to put $800 toward a new phone if I traded it in, but I wanted to understand if I could trade in my phone while still keeping my data plan, or if any other option was available to me. She said "no" with zero additional information and certainly without a smile. I'm not trying to get an unfair deal, but at least have the social competence to be kind to your customers. I've been with Verizon since I've had a cell phone and stayed loyal, despite the higher prices, due to the interactions with sales people. Now, I'll take the business to AT&T I guess. read more

I wish it were possible to give ZERO stars. The agents here are young kids who are just out to shake you down. I went in for an Apple Watch. I am hearing impaired and after a day with the watch and realizing it would not work with my hearing device I decided to return it. Here it is almost a year later and am still paying monthly for the watch I returned the VERY NEXT DAY because the agents never removed it from my account!! Not only that - she told me she was helping me decrease my charges. When my new bill came it was DOUBLE!!!! My daughters went there to transfer all the information from there I Phones, to there new I Phone 12's. They walked into the store at 5:05 PM, and they were told that they close at 6:00, and there was not enough time to take care of them. What kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE is that. This place is awful. I dealt with a young guy at the Manahawkin store who was condescending and rude & acted like he was doing me a favor answering my questions. He also told me that I would be responsible for setting up my phone, transferring my info from my current phone & literally I would need to do everything. I am a Verizon customer currently but was so annoyed at this guy that I went to the closest AT&T, T-mobile and Costco locations and they were all polite, extremely helpful & I am now deciding which of the 3 will get my business. All reps said they will do everything needed to get my phone up and running properly. I only deal with companies that want my business. Evidently, Verizon does not need it. Lastly, Verizon is the only company that I could not contact via phone. Their system makes it very difficult to simply speak to a customer rep!! read more

Verizon made all the right promises to get me to move from AT&T. Their sales department said all the right things. Their service was horrendous , their customer service reps and their sales reps made promises on recorded lines and then did not hold up. However they charged me for service I did not receive and did not uphold contract that I have. There is not much you can do but I will hope someone will see this and not fall for their lies and gimmicks. Stay with you other carriers. I am so sorry I fell for their scams. They lied to me. Told me that the return policy is different that what it really is. Of course they wouldn't make good on what I was told. I guess you say anything to make a sale. As far as I'm concerned a fraud was perpetrated. The store or customer service on the phone would not make good on what they told me. Don't trust what they tell you. It's discouraging when the 1-800 Verizon representative says fraud is a common practice in the Verizon corporate stores. I would avoid this store or be sure to record or get everything in writing. I needed a new SIM card for my apple phone and they told me with an attitude that it was a common problem and I would need to call apple for a whole new phone! It's your average Verizon store. It's expensive, but they all are. If you want a cheap charger, buy one from Amazon. If you're out of battery and got a full day on the road ahead of you and this is your only option, then you pay the ridiculous amount of money for a charger. I must say that it takes an awful lot to get me to review a place, good or bad. This is one of the bad occasions. I have been to this store many, many times. I even waited in line for my iPhone 5S at this store. Unfortunately, all of the personnel seems to have changed since then and they're all rude. I've been in this store 2x trying to exchange my paid for Galaxy S6 for the new iPhone. Let's not even mention how rude the staff was when I got my Galaxy S6. I was treated as if I was a complete nuisance and a moron for wanting to trade my phone in. I was told how much I would get for a phone I just finished paying for (not even 1/4 of what I paid for it) as if I were an idiot for asking. The 2nd time I went in to trade in the Galaxy the woman told me I wouldn't get ANYTHING for it which was completely untrue. I got my phone at Target and my accessories at Best Buy. All of the staff in both of their stores were nicer, more knowledgeable and much more pleasant than anyone in this store. I won't be coming here anymore. It's a shame. I've been dealing with this particular Verizon for several years. I used to have no problems and the customer service was great. However, they seemed to have gone down hill in the past year. Now, I hate going in this place. I can't speak for everyone who works there, but the ones who I have dealt with recently act like they can't be bothered unless you're buying something. Even then they still make you feel like they are rushing you along. I have also been lied to by one of the younger men there in order to make a sale on a new phone. When I went back and spoke to the one manager about it, he acted like he didn't care, talked to me like I was an idiot and was of zero help. It took calling customer service to get things fixed. Unless this store ups their customer service, I will either be looking for an other Verizon in the area to go to, or an other wireless carrier all together when my contract ends. read more

This store is a scam. We walked in and the rep was pompous and arrogant but in the interest of time and the fact that we needed to upgrade our hone, we put up with the idiot. Our bad. We ended up buying a new phone and accessories (spending over 500.) But went to return items the didn't work for us a few days later. The low class losers in this store wouldn't allow a refund and only allowed a store credit and one item they said didn't have the right packaging to allow a return. This is the worst store we know with sales people who sell you something' and then, turn their back on you. We lost money, lesson learned, but want to warn others to go to a real Verizon store and not this knock off for purchases. They will screw you, and stare you in the facè 4 days later --- like they never saw you or sold to you.
