I understand this stores low rating. It starts at the top with the District manager who told me, "I don,t care how you were treated, I will ALWAYS side with my employees over a customer! " I came in to reactivate my service and I explained to the employee who was more interested in her cell phone then me the entire time that I'd already called customer service and she also just needed to the same. She went thru a bunch of unnecessary steps, including contacting her manager, all while texting back and forth on her phone the entirety of the visit. I.m so glad we were right under the stores camera when I mentioned I've done this job before and all you have to do is call customer service like I said! She,s totally racially profiling me cause I'm black k and have deeds. She looks at me like I just pulled out a gun on her. She jumps up and says , " you.re making me feel uncomfortable and I don't have to work with you." Then walks away and calls her district manager! Ok so the company itself isn't always deserving of this rating but the service at this particular store in Greenwood today was excellent. James helped me setup a new line on my account using an existing phone. He was friendly and engaging while we completed the paperwork and really patient explaining to me the final price as I misunderstood twice what the new total would be. The only caveat is next time if I need to go to the store I'll make an appointment. Didn't know I could do that and was lucky my wait was only 10 minutes or so. read more

My husband and I are forever grateful to Kyler. My husband hadn't have service for 3 days with TMobile & we needed to switch him to Verizon. Kyler was so patient with us. And dealing with TMobile while we were there was well, just as you would expect TMobile to be, not helpful. We felt bad, but he let us know he wants to help us and not to worry. He actually was able to solve the problem TMobile couldn't solve. He was mindful of our time and offered solutions that actually helped. We are excited that my husband has joined Verizon with me after 20 years of being with TMobile. Will definitely tell my family if they need to upgrade, change plan, or service carriers to see Kyler ONLY. read more

I've always had a good experience with this Verizon store but this time I was very pleased with the staff member that I had: Emily Emily was amazing. She was patient with me and my endless questions and indecisiveness. She even printed out and explained every possible scenario for which would be most cost effective and efficient for my needs. She was extremely knowledgeable about the devices, plans, costs, etc. and made me feel very comfortable about each decision. Bottom line, Emily deserves a raise. read more

This is a nice big Verizon store with a large selection of phones and smart home devices. I found the salespeople to be helpful but not intrusive or pushy. I'm not a Verizon customer because I'm too cheap and their plans, like most of the big three, just suck money away every month like a vampire that doesn't sparkle. It looks like they assign one employee to you when you walk in, and if you just play with the phones a bit they'll move on and you'll be out of the system free to wander and loiter as you please without someone asking if you've found everything. But this store itself is great if you're into Verizon. Easy parking, easy to find, a great selection and pleasant employees. The best network in the nation, but you'll pay for it. read more

Went to the store to trade in a paid off phone and get internet service... The "sales" guy named Abraham did EVERYTHING wrong... At 5:30pm on 6/20/22 he said store was about to close and that we had to go activate the phone at home. The new phone was locked, internet was set up for a wrong address. After spending two hours with customer service that's when I found out Abraham had entered all the wrong information. Abraham needs to be put to work in the back room, what he did was completely useless. read more

How can a huge company allow all these 1 star reviews of their corporate store, and not take action to correct the issues? Too big to fail attitude, perhaps... Walking into the store we were cheerfully greeted and my name was added to the waiting list via a tablet the greeter was using. We wondered around the nice looking, clean store for about 15 minutes looking at all the cool new devices Verizon offers. Then my name was called and a rep came to assist me. I was in FL about 2 weeks prior and went into a Verizon corporate store and purchased a $100 Mophie juice pack for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone, as I would burn through the standard battery in half a day. (Yelp gets credit for a lot of that juice being used, lol). The FL rep just added the purchase to my monthly bill, and all was good. Once back in IN the battery pack stopped charging my phone, after only having it 2 weeks I was surprised it failed so quickly. Knowing I purchased from a corporate store, I knew I could drive 25 miles one way to Greenwood and exchange it. I also noticed when I looked online that it had went on sale and was now $80. The Greenwood rep said his tablet showed where I purchased it on my account, but wouldn't show him any info to allow him to exchange it. Then he questioned me if I purchased it from a corporate store or a dealer, as if he was trying to get out of having to exchange it. I had told him I bought it 2 weeks ago, and he could see my receipt online showing that, and that now the price was $20 less, being on sale, on the Verizon website. He said he did not see where the price was on sale, and being that I am just doing an exchange, that I am not entitled to the $20 off sale price. I pulled up the Verizon website, and asked if they matched Verizon's prices, and showed him the sale price of $80. He then argued with me saying that still does not count with defective exchanges. I told him fine, then I want to return the defective item for a $100 refund, and purchase the new item for the $80 sale price. That made him mad, and he said no, that I have had the item for 15 days and the exchange policy was within 14 days, so he is already doing me a favor by allowing me to exchange the defective item for a working item. I told the rep that would be cheating me out of $20, and they should stand behind their defective products better than that, and that since I lived far away it took me a few days to drive here to return it. He then got more angered and rudely asked me if I wanted to do the exchange or not because he was busy and other customers were waiting, and that he does not have to even do it for me. I thought to ask for another rep or a manager, but was in a bit of a hurry, so I said okay, then lets exchange it. Figuring I could get my $20 back if I called customer service later. So we swapped items and my new battery pack works fine. I just hope it works longer than the last one. Then when the exchange printed on my account, Verizon automatically gave me the $20 refund for the sale price, as that is how their computer system was set up. It knew I had recently made the purchase and gave me the sale price. So all the arguing and rudeness from the rep who acted like a jerk and acted like he was doing me a favor just exchanging the defective item for a working one, was now a mute point, as he was over ridden by Verizon's computer system, and I got my $20 refund anyway. Happy ending for me to a bad experience with an insensitive staff member from Verizon. I have been a Verizon customer for more years than I can remember, and I always purchase the newest hi-tech phone they release each year, but that apparently counts for nothing. read more

Horrible customer service. Everyone is scowling and it takes forever to get service. My boyfriend was just swapping a phone out and it took almost an hour, and all she did was complain and try to convince the person he was swapping with to buy a new phone and lied outright saying it wasn't a good phone and stuff trying to get a sale. I understand it's your job to sell but there's no reason to be so rude and pushy especially after it took so long to see someone in a not very busy store!! I don't have a problem with Verizon itself but this store specifically was just a very uncomfortable shopping experience. read more

These people are great! Very pleasant to work with. You should see them clean everytime someone leaves. They spray down everything that the customer touched. They were very attentive to my needs helped me out with my complicated issues. This is why I use Verizon services. I would highly recommend this store for all of your wireless needs! I am 100% satisfied with my last two visits. There was no wait, and I had zero issues taking care of a complicated problem with my phone. I've upped it from 2 to 5 stars for this reason. Previous review from a few years ago: Let me start off by saying that before my last experience, I would have given this location 5-stars, and that is the only reason I upped it to two instead of one. I have never in my life left a store yelling and cussing until last week. The people in the parking lot thought I was insane. My phone (Droid Pro) kept losing its data connection, which I need for my business. This is the whole reason I have the phone in the first place. I have had this phone replaced twice with refurbs of the same model. All three had the same problem. I was exactly one month from receiving my upgrade when I needed it replaced, and hoped they would just do so then, or at the very least give me another refurb. I was told that my phone was out of warranty last December, and that they could not replace it with a refurb. I told them that I had it replaced this Spring (after the warranty was out). The salesman basically called me a liar, refused to replace or upgrade the phone, and told me that I was out of luck until my upgrade was available unless I was willing to shell out the full retail of the new phone ($400 more than I could get it a month later with the upgrade!) We have several company phones, and this guy almost cost Verizon the entire account. My GM called our company VZW rep, and I had my new phone a few days later and $50 cheaper than from the store with the upgrade. I wish I had gotten this guys name to pass on to our rep. read more

No stars here -- very ignorant and rude people are sales in this store. Finished with this store and Verizon. If there was a negative rating -- like a negative 1000 I would give it. RUDE RUDE RUDE LIARS!!! The trick that they do is to put you on hold and then disconnect you. In the space of one day (and 5 hours of phone time and 2 store visits) I was demeaned (on behalf of my Dad that has dementia and having to "upgrade" to a 4G phone) was told that an elderly person would just "have to get over it and learn the phone" and that no one uses flip phones anymore. The snot that waited on me was rude and condescending. They would be absolutely terminated on the spot with a REAL job. Fast forward to that same day and 3 hours later, I was told that I would be contacted within 24 hours (LIARS AGAIN!!!!!!!) -- NOT SO. I had to order the phone over Amazon (after 2.5 more hours on the phone with Verizon) and was LIED TO AGAIN. Now at 4 hours today of holding and talking and 3 hours and 2 in-store visits yesterday, some of the costs were finally waived. Total time of my life WASTED with Verizon: too much. Not really there problem as all signs pointed to it being a software issue with Android.. but depressing none the less. My recent encounter with a manager from the Greenwood Rt 31 store was extremely disappointing. No negotiating or decent consumer compromising was achieved after an issue with my parents' new service. No customer loyalty or the fact that I brought them a brand new customer was even respected, honored, or appreciated. Overall Verizon YOU have changed from a corporate perspective. I advised her that I would contact Consumer Affairs and she stood her ground. Bravo. Now here we are because she refused to do the right thing. I ordered the iPhone 12 Pro on January 6th it was supposed to arrive January 8th. It's now March 2nd and Verizon has yet to give me a new phone or my money back. They have billed me twice for my monthly plan. Closed my account and sent it over to debt collectors which is destroying my credit. I am 19 I went thru Verizon to build my credit not destroy it. I have called literally 50 times within the last 2 months to try and get the issue resolved and nobody has done anything to help. I will be transferred and transferred and after 6 hours on the phone you guys close and hang up on me. I got a hold of a supervisor name frieda and she said she finally gave my money back and it was supposed to be in my account 3-5 business days. Well it's been 7 business days and turns out Frieda didn't even give it back. She just wanted me off the phone. They closed my account so they can't credit me the $100 for the bill, I have no choice but to pay the debt collectors if I don't want to ruin my credit more. I am a single mother I can't afford to spend $100 on literally nothing. I never got the phone it's never been activated. I am NOT paying for a bill. My whole family will be canceling their contracts with Verizon and switching over to a new carrier that cares about their customers. If anyone knows a good cheap lawyer, please email me. read more

I purchased 3 phones and a tablet from the Greenwood location just shy of two years ago. I was told at that time that the two Motorola Droid phones came with two year coverage against screen damage. Sure enough, one screen cracked so I went back to the store to see what the deal was. The rep I spoke to looked at my account and said there was no such coverage, but told me I could try contacting Motorola directly. I wasn't happy because either the original sales rep misled me or this one was no help. I went home and checked my account online and found that the phone did indeed come with two year coverage against screen damage. I immediately went back to the store and asked for a manager and told him what I had found. He looked up my account and told me there was no such coverage. I knew better this time, made an unkind comment, and walked out. Back home, I called Verizon customer service and told them what was happening. They checked and found that, yes, screen damage was covered and immediately ordered a replacement phone be sent to me. I don't know what the problem is at this location, but they apparently have no concern for customer service after the sale or any concern for customer retention. If you have a warranty issue, don't bother with this store, just call Verizon directly. read more

So I go into the store with my teenage daughter to get new phones. We had already decided what we wanted - just needed to make the purchase. I was seen within 10 minutes of arriving. Cool! Within 2 minutes of talking to the salesboy I was told of what I needed to get and not what I wanted to get. Really? I had already done the research and knew what I was there for. He was very insistent that I needed to go with the new edge program and lease the phones because it was "cheaper" for me. I was well aware of how much money I was spending by doing a 2 year contract. He just kept pushing me to go with the edge. Several times I told him I am not interested. He kept asking why I didn't want to go with the edge. He even said that he had to note it on the system that he offered the edge to me but I refused it. He said he did this so he wouldn't get in trouble! I said well if you are going to get in trouble for not selling me what I don't want then you either need a new job or a new manager. I asked him why he kept trying to sell me something I already told him he didn't want. He even said well if you were in my position what would you do? Very uncomfortable. What should of been a happy experience for getting new phones was very upsetting. He even said he talked to his supervisor and they were willing to offer me the edge at even cheaper price! OMG!! I DONT WANT THE EDGE!!! I am now on edge and ready to tell this kid off!! So, instead of telling me all of the important things that I should have been told about the 2 new phones I just purchased - I am being told how he really thinks I should go with the Edge. Then I drive home which is about 40 minutes away and look at the receipt and realize he didn't give me the forms to fill out for my rebate! Really? so I call the store and the girl says she cant help me. I either have to try and print them at home or drive back to the store. I am pretty sure they do not want me to come back to that store! It would not be pretty. Terrible experience......Logan needs a new job.... read more

I don't know if I just got a horrible rep or if this store trains their employees to scam people?! Walked in needing a new phone because I was switching from ATT(Really regretting this choice at the moment) and my perfectly fine iPhone7+ 'wasnt compatible'(this claim seems to be true) so I had to buy an 8 or higher. Wanted the 8+ which is apparently only made in 64 and 256 gig increments that are $250 different in price. I asked my rep what the price difference was and was told $100(LIE) and decided to get the larger one because the price seemed fair for the amount of extra gigs you get. I was then looking for a screen protector and maybe a case if I found one I liked and was told that for $10 more than those two items bought separately I could get a bundle including those, a wireless charger and a portable charger which was a great deal. Too bad it was ANOTHER lie as the difference between the two items i wanted and the bundle was $150(two items being $100 and the charge to my account being $248). I then explicitly asked for the price of the phone alone to be sure I knew what I was paying(LOL) and was told with my exchanged perfectly good iPhone 7+ the price was $248(which was REALLY just the price of accessories). I triple checked the price of the phone I was told because it seemed too low even with turning my old perfect phone in and was repeatedly told the $248 number. Trusting the rep(LOL AGAIN) I felt confident walking out of the store paying $98 in taxes and having the $110 for the bundle and $248 for the phone added to my next bill. Luckily I decided to call customer support and check this again because I wanted to be absolutely sure I was getting the truth. They proceeded to tell me my accessory bundle(case, screen protector and chargers) cost the $248 and even with exchanging my old phone the cost of the phone itself was $650 on top of the $98 in taxes I paid for in the store- WHAT?!?!?! I have never had someone be so conniving and deceitful just to get more money out of me. Absolutely horrible experience and worst customer service interaction I've had in my entire life. Do yourself a favor and either stay VERY far away from this place or go through another carrier. Wish I could give negative stars and steer everyone away from this place! read more

Let me first start off by saying that this was my second time going to the store and both times got treated like I was beneath them. I let the first time slide thinking it was the representative but now that the second time has happened....it's time for my review. I am with Xfinity mobile and Xfinity mobile uses Verizon CDMA phones and their towers. When I googled it, Xfinity has a contract with Verizon to use their towers. I went in the first time to get a case and a screen protector for my Galaxy S 8 Plus. When I was asked about my phone number I guess for returns, I proceeded to explain that I had Xfinity Mobile but I had Verizon Service. The rep said there is no way that I have Verizon and spent at least 10 minutes arguing about it almost insinuating that I was lying without coming out and saying it. I called back and spoke to the store manager, Anthony, who said "you do have Verizon service but we can't promote that in the store." So allow your employees to act that way because you can't promote that? The second time recently happened when I went in to get my second line with Xfinity Mobile a case and screen protector. Again......same scenario and argument. I came back two days later because my case didn't fit right and the screen protector was coming off of the phone. I was told after a new rep found out I had Xfinity Mobile that we can't return the screen protector because it is used. After I made the comment that cases are used but you have 14 days to return them, she then said "oh but your screen protector is chipped and we can't take back damaged items." There were no cracks or chips on that screen protector anyways. I pulled up their return policy online and it states that you have 14 days to return equipment and accessories. Period. The rep said they could do a one time only return but when she asked for my number and found out that I was with Xfinity Mobile she disappeared for a while and then came back and she said, "we have to issue you a check because it won't let us return it so give us your name and address". One, I paid cash and any direct Verizon Wireless customer can return their items and get cash back. Two, everything was fine until they found out I wasn't a direct customer even though I had Verizon service and a CDMA Verizon phone. I think they call that "discrimination"? Third, I am not giving Verizon my name and address in the hopes of them mailing a check and not every getting it. In the end, they said "leave the store mam or we will call the cops". Why? I made a valid purchase two days prior (Note: they accepted my money just fine then) and now I am returning an accessory that was faulty and because I am with Xfinity Mobile I have to leave. I had the receipt and everything and it was only day 2 of a 14 day return policy. The solutions manager came out finally and didn't know what to say. When I showed him their return policy online and asked him to point out where it says they can't return accessories (screen protectors are accessories) he said, "I don't have to". He was really nervous and was fumbling with his words cause he didn't know what to say to explain how they were acting. I AM STILL IN SHOCK OVER HOW I WAS TREATED BY THIS STORE!!!! !Terrible Experience! I am getting sick and tired of the Goliath companies walking all over people. Verizon takes the cake, I've never been treated so terribly in my life by any company & they should be ashamed of themselves. We are out a bunch of money that we simply don't have. Problems since day 3 of having the phone and Verizon refuses to make it right. Been stuck paying service to Verizon & AT&T because Verizon service so unreliable. Made the mistake of trying to switch from AT&T to Verizon because my husband doesn't like the AT&T devices. (12 years with AT&T, first under contract then pre-paid. Any problems were always resolved by AT&T.) We did pre-paid to save money.. I explained to the rep that my husband is a truck driver & needs reliable service. Got a Motorola phone & paid $235 for the phone & 2 mos of service. Started getting messages that we had to load the phone & were unable to make or receive calls even though it was paid 2 months in advance. No service in at least two states. Made the mistake of getting a 3g phone instead of a 4g phone. (My bad, the rep lied to me and said that 3g only affects internet and not call quality. As a consumer I should know better than to fall for that kind of misrepresentation.) In my defense, back when I was healthy, I most likely would not have fallen for it. Returned the phone within a week & got stuck with a $35 re-stock fee for an LG Phone. LG phone had the same problem, returned it within a week and raised enough heck to avoid that re-stock fee. Problems started again in August so I tried taking that phone back. Now I'm kicking myself, because the manager on duty offered to have Verizon send a corporate check for August Air-time, but wanted to stick me with another re-stock fee. I tried to be civil and explain it was not fair to charge yet another re-stock fee for something that isn't my fault. They still refused to give a full refund on the phone, so I told him to "Take your restocking fee & stick it where the sun don't shine!" and walked out. I tried to get my husband to go to the store on Friday, but he was too mad. We called the store on Monday to try for a full refund, but by that time they reneged on the offer of the airtime. Finally today, my husband went in there & raised more heck, but to no avail. I then called, but was only offered $65.00 back & told point blank that I will not get my air-time refunded. Why was it offered to me last Thursday then? They refuse to make us whole again. I'm not even asking for a full refund, only the phone & August Airtime. They have the nerve to accuse us of using too much data, I tried explaining that my husband doesn't go online. Any online usage is me trying to resolve issues with the junk phones they sell. I started thinking, in a way it makes sense. We are on phone #3, so of course we would eat up data. Every time you get a new phone, you have to load it. Not to mention all the updates. Their bad devices were the cause of the data drain, not surfing. They will do nothing for me. I can't even get them to give me a full refund for the phone, so I can get the 4g phone I found on their website for $149 & remain a customer. I asked for a free month of service to help make this right, and was refused. When I asked the Customer Service manager why AT&T could do that & Verizon cant, she said something like well that's AT&T, they are a different company. Yes, a heck of a lot better than Verizon. Anyway, I've made countless calls and trips to Verizon to no avail & finally ended up telling one rep that Verizon should be ashamed & they are nothing but a Gestapo company. This is a terrible way to treat people & there is just no excuse for it. Money doesn't grow on trees & these multi-billion $ companies should not be allowed to trample on people like this. I'm just glad we aren't under contract, I can't even imagine. I imagine they would force me to pay an early termination fee for something that isn't my fault. I'm just sick over all the money we are out and my husband still needs a stinking phone. read more

I have visited this store numerous times over the last few years and the customer service has always been horrible. Although it is the most convenient location for me, I will never go back there again and will drive the extra miles to receive better service. I realize everyone has a bad day every now and then, but does anyone like their job at that store??? When I ask questions, they try to impress me with their "knowledge" and then proceed in trying to make me feel stupid. That is what happened the last visit, so I just walked out (after politely telling the insolent sale associate what I though of his condescending attitude). I do not know who the manager is there, but they need replaced. It is a managers responsibility to train "good customer service" to their employees, and then see that it is given. read more
