She worked with us for over a half an hour troubleshooting and untangling our mess. She was so professional, capable and empathetic too. Verizon is the top cellular company that rapes people for their money. They target commercial accounts which drives up costs to the consumers for the products they provide, that is true trickle down economics. If everyone switched to a smaller company, especially prepaid which is what I have been doing and saving $500 a month. I'm prepaying a plan with 5 phones, unlimited data and hotspots and we use the same infrastructure that AT&T uses, just don't pay as much. This comment is all based because I had to watch a commercial for Verizon, hope it does every person well. Ask for Matt Lewis!! He is really good at what he does and is very knowledgeable about all of their products. He is honest, will not try to screw you over or sell you things you don't need. He makes great suggestions and makes sure you know about what is available, brings out all kinds of items and choices for you to choose from. Doesn't pressure you at all and is upfront and honest if you try to cut corners on things you really shouldn't be cutting corners on. Last year before Christmas he helped me with going to an IPhone (when every other time I went and asked about switching from an Android I was just told if I was used to an Android I wouldn't be happy with an IPhone. He said the total opposite and was so glad he did!! I love my IPhone. I had also bought a Tablet, another phone, cases and screen protectors back then. My phone was stolen right before this Christmas so I got my replacement phone but needed a case and screen protector. I was super happy to go in and see he still worked there a year later!! There was already a long wait because they were super busy the day after Christmas but I didn't care, I wanted someone I already knew and trusted. Same thing, helped me get everything taken care of. My husbands phone contract was up but had concern in switching him from an Android to a IPhone because he is really clumsy and very hard on phones. I was considering giving him mine and getting the new IPhone 8 but they were out of stock for the 8 that had the same storage space as my 7 and he had a better recommendation for a more durable phone for him. Because of his honesty and professionalism I trust his recommendations and I buy everything that is needed because I don't feel he is just trying to pull one over on me!! When I went to just get a new case and screen protector I ended up also starting a new contract for a new phone, bought the case and screen protector for that too, also bought a car charger and 2 pop up buttons for the back of the phones. That is a good salesman - you don't have to be pushy or rude or sneaky to get the sales!! Their closing time posted on Google and the actual Verizon website is 5pm on a Sunday, but they feel the need to close much earlier than that because "they feel like it ." Will never come to this location again. All I had to do was pick up a phone and they wouldn't even give it to me. Unprofessional and was very rude and sarcastic. 10/10 DON'T recommend. read more

Went to the store to purchase a new iPhone. I was not allowed in the store and an associate came out saying that I needed an appointment to be seen. He also told me I could only order the phone online and not in the store. I'm not sure why the store is even here. Ended up buying my phone at Best Buy where I was able to go in, look at the different models of phones that they had, and get everything set up while I was there. They made it so easy! Sorry Verizon, but if you're not open to sales in the store and tell me everything needs to be done online, then your store really serves no purpose. read more

Horrible place. No greeting to a guest that walks in. No we will be with you shortly. No customer service at all. I just spent over 2k with Verizon yesterday and was sent to this North Fort Myers location to pick up a air pad cover that was on hold for me! Needless to say after a 15 minute wait and no greeting still I asked if someone could check me out and I was told just to hang on for a while longer and now I have been standing in the store for 20 minutes . The Verizon store beside Walmart in N Ft Meyers is hands down the best in customer service. No problems w them or thier staff at all. BUT.....trying to resolve a billing dispute over the phone was a nightmare. It costs $7.00 to talk to an operator!!! Are you frigging kidding me? What kind of corporate BS is this? 19 mins later still not resolved. I hung up. I wish I knew before signing the contract that they charge to actually speak to someone. When I said I was not informed of these charges at purchase I was accused of lying and ask to call my wife to corroborate my story. This is a corporate Verizon. Meaning the sales people fly out the door the second they see a car pull up, just in the hopes they make a sale. I don't want to down rate it, as it's really the only "reputable" store where you can get proper information from. Note: with this being a corporate HQ deal, any time you buy from a free standing kiosk building (franchise) or a type of "wireless zone" (separate franchise), anything you do with that purchase has no effect on your plan or phone. Example: Two Iphone 4 phones from a Zone almost 2 years ago. Purchased the bells and whistles: $150 insurance, a case, a mediocre family plan, two year contract. About a year in, one of the phones' power button started failing. Home research said it's a rare but common occurrence with the generations lower than a 4S. Went into this corporate store to see about getting it fixed. Was told that they can't fix it. Number one, it's an iPhone. I'm at Verizon asking a technical question. I need to go to Apple. Number two, my insurance doesn't cover the phone being fixed. Go see Apple. MAYBE they can help. Why, if I have the $150 insurance, doesn't it cover a replacement or cover anything? The answer: because I bought from a free standing Verizon store. What goes on with those places, has no affect on what you end up using. Thus, paying that nice chunk of change is a moot point. IF I go to Apple, because I don't have the proper insurance, they may not help me. He further explained everything I had researched at home about the button, only adding "be glad the home button still works". I'm not that glad, if I can't even shut off the phone (which to that, I was told to NEVER shut the phone off. For any reason. The phone is not meant to power down). While I got this explanation, the sales guy didn't seem too happy to talk to us because we had an iPhone. I got the feeling he had better things to do than troubleshoot my phone. Which makes my rating a 2.5 stars. They also like to push you out like it's a factory. Lines can be long, you're wait listed and then you're given not so great help. Sometimes. It's a crap shoot. Mostly depends on whether or not it's season. The only reason I am pushing this to 3 is the simple fact it's a corporate deal. I've used Verizon for over a decade and have had no problems prior to the couple times I've gone into this location. It's a better place to go then a free standing building, as the one time I went into it, the kid couldn't help. At least the weasels here make the attempt. read more

After reading some of the other reviews my wife and I were apprehensive about visiting this store. That said, our experience was excellent. Matt greeted us upon entry and asked how he could help. He was completely courteous and professional as he answered our questions, guided us through options and, in the end, patiently completed the set-up of our new phones. The service I have had at this location has been hit or miss. For small issues, it is fine. My purchase of 4 new phones and a new plan absolutely sucked. After speaking with a salesperson and selecting a plan, but only having access to 2 of the phones that day, I was advised to return in 2 days with a third phone and transfer the plan simultaneously. I was told to call ahead so as not to wait, and that my sales rep was working that day. When I arrived, he was not working, and I was told that my future plan was discontinued at a surprise meeting that morning. Also, never buy accessories from the store. They cost more and are not backed by the store, at least in the case of my LifeProof case. Money, not service, is King there. read more

My phone fell 2-1/2 stories off a balcony while on vacation and this location was less than 5 minutes from where we were staying which is the only reason I went there. I read the not so great reviews of others but really had no choice as for me it was all about convenience. My phone was 2 years old and really suited me just find. Had it not broke I would still be using it. Had to pay a $40 "upgrade fee" because I was upgrading! My insurance that I pay I think $7/$8 a month for wasn't applicable in this case and the gentleman that was assigned to me would have rather been anywhere else but work ~ at least that was my impression. When I started asking him questions his standard response was "that;s up to you." When I asked for a phone that was similar to the one I had I was informed nothing was similar to that one because it was so old. It was exhausting being there and I had made up my mind since I was going to have to get a new phone that I really wanted to take my time and get a great phone. Instead I just picked one off the wall because I was so irritated that I just wanted to get out of there. Had this not been a business/work phone I would have left and switched carriers on the spot but I needed a phone while on vacation. read more
