Despite the fact that my husband, with 40 yrs. of electrical experience, was handing them the answers and the whys. The store didn't want to hear about the problem, and calling Verizon turned out that the offer was not something they had available. This store doesn't seem to train the salespeople, and they say anything to get you to spend money. A poor service, particularly in these tough economic times. Atlantic Metro specializes in Metro Ethernet and Fiber, which are arguably far tougher to install than traditional copper - and I am quite impressed by their ability to rapidly mobilize contractors, get permits, arrange setup - all while keeping the customer in the loop. Their backbone reaches everywhere in the city, and their network is rock solid, most of all - I love having someone being able to answer my requests whether via ticket or via phone, at any time of the day. Clearly, I made the right choice by choosing AMC. I just ordered my second 100MBPS Metro Ethernet connection this morning!

Since December 12th, I've been charged $156, $183, and $220 -- nearly $600 total just to switch and set up service. Every time I call customer service, I'm told these are "standard charges," but that information should have been explained upfront so I could make an informed decision. This situation has been very frustrating, and I regret leaving my previous provider. I would advise others to ask detailed questions and get all fees in writing before switching to Xfinity.
