The Verizon store on West 3rd isn't with Verizon at all and they rip you off completely and very rude. They need to be shut down. When we went to the Verizon store on the east side of town they confirmed that they don't have to follow the Verizon rules at all and do whatever they want. I went to this store a few weeks ago because my Pixel 2XL was having issues holding a charge. My phone is paid off and I have the protection plan and a manufacturer's warranty. The technician looked at my phone and told me it was a battery issue and that I'd receive a replacement phone for free the next day since I had the protection plan. I received my replacement and everything was great until I got an email from Verizon that I have to pay $299 because it's not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The email claims there is damage to the phone but there's no photo included, and after being on the phone with Verizon support for almost two hours I'm still no closer to figure out what's going on. I brought my phone into the store to find out what was wrong and if there was anything that wasn't covered, and I feel like the technician intentionally misled me about my options--now I have no way to verify this "damage" and basically no recourse other than to spend my day on the phone with Verizon's customer service. I would caution EVERYONE that goes into this store to ask as many questions as possible and not assume the technicians have your best interest at heart, and if possible take care of any of your issues online. Online says your open but I get here and you're not! Change your hours! Arrived 6:30pm Wednesday 13th! Thursday 14th I come back just for you to tell me that you can't set up my phone bc your about to close? I've tried to call to find out what time you close but they have it set up where you can't get a hold of anyone. I told them I came in yesterday and they were closed. So pissed. What happened to customer service?! You guys are worthless! Saying you can't spend 45 minutes with a customer due to being short staff. Telling me to go to the library and connect to the wifi. We've used Verizon since the 90's. I always receive quick service from knowledgeable staff. I purchased an IPhone 11 Pro from this location on a packed Sunday. I was in and out within 30 minutes with all my questions answered. The staff were very helpful in finding the product I desired and also helped me set up my insurance so that I can repair an older iPad which had expired warranty. They provided best possible cost and solution which I appreciate. read more

I'm not sure how long I have to stand around looking at phones to be acknowledged. I guess it's more than whatever time I just spent in there. People ahead of me got helped immediately. One employee was dealing with an unhappy customer. The others just seemed to have better things to do. Doesn't make me eager to stick with them. AT&T still sets the gold standard. read more

Don't buy a phone case here I have a lifeproof case cover I bought here it started coming a part clearly design problem. I went in with it and got no help the store was not busy the guy "helping me" said you might email lifeproof but they will say it's abuse! Thanks a lot that's not the way you guys sold this to me! The sales people turned very cold as soon as it was clear that I knew what I wanted and I wouldn't buy any "great and necessary" accessories or plans. That was fine because I was expecting that. However, this one salesman was just lying about the mail-in-rebate policy!. He told me it would come in to my email address and of course it never came! When I finally figured out how it should work it was too late to mail the rebate. Of course he might not be lying but just didn't know what he was talking about.. I've had okay experiences here before, but I had to be VERY assertive, thorough in my own research, etc. This time, I walked in, no acknowledgement. Walked over to the counter where two employees were talking. The manager asked if I had been checked in. Nope. So, he checked me in and said there were others ahead of me. It looked like only one other guy was not being helped, but okay. Five minutes pass. The manager is still just chatting with the other employee! Then he comes around seemingly checking in on the other three employees who are with customers. He approaches the only other guy in the shop. Turns out no one has checked in that guy either. I left. I can't believe this is the leader in the mobile delivery business their service is so bad

This is the hardest place to review. On one hand, out of all of the Verizon stores within a 50mi radius of our Location (a little farther and you go up into Indy) This store has the most knowledgeable employees. However, upon walking in there today we were turned away and told to process our order online. We were assured that it would be easier to get the "Verizon Trade in Promotion" and order our new IPHONE6 on our own. We went in there because we thought it would be easier to deal with them. This was not an easy process. HOWEVER, calling Verizon online was amazing. It was fast and easy and it only took 20 minutes (including the wait time) to process the complete order. If you are tech savvy...just try the online service. If you can go to Indianapolis...do it. If you don't mind listening to a couple of robotic voice recordings...call them. I do not recommend this store. They weren't even crowded when they turned us away, they had just opened. Conclusion: Lazy employees. read more

Beware of sales fraud at this Verizon. Justin, who seemed to be a fair and honest salesman, completely cheated us. We arrived to purchase a phone for our IU son. He lost his phone, so we were immediately told that we could not do the "Edge Program". Instead, we ordered an I phone for dellvery. Then he told us we had credits toward accessories. After "throwing in" 4 accessories, which we DID NOT WANT, we have now learned that he cheated us into the purchase of the 4 accessories, no phone and now we are on the Edge program paying $600 for a phone. We are contacting our attorney. The Verizon store at home was very apologetic, but informed me that it was " illegal" sales. They told us that we had to reach out to the Bloomington Supervisor. Called tonight...of course no return phone call. BEWARE...do not fall for anything at the Bloomington Verizon. Change plans. read more

I went here after work to get my employee discount switched over to my new employee & the guy didn't seem to even know what I was talking about. I have a friend that works at the corporate store in Muncie for years & she said all I needed was a recent paystub & to go to a corp store I explained to the guy what my friend said & he said I would have to do it on my own, call some # which he didn't give me, then finally said I had to wait till the old one dropped off before I could add the new one. I have already given Verizon hours of my life that I will never get back, but here goes a few more minutes: The Verizon representative entered the wrong shipping address for my warranty phone. Once this was figured out after 5 days of "unsuccessful delivery attempts" according the the FedEx website, I called FedEx. They cannot take a change in shipping address from anyone except for the person(s) who issued the shipment. When I called Verizon in Bloomington, they indicated there was nothing they could do and wanted to know if I wanted the FedEx tracking number. (Please note this question came after I told the representative that I had been following my package using the tracking number and also just spoke with a local FedEx manager. But yes, please. Give me the tracking number.) The Verizon representative went on to tell me (again) there was nothing they could do, but graciously asked if I needed anything else. My phone is still currently in limbo somewhere between the FedEx shipping center and the wrong address that Verizon cannot correct. I understand not being able to do anything at the store level, but at least direct me to a representative online or over the phone who could solve the mistake that was made at the store level. In the meantime, I am getting automated text messages warning me of a $500 fee that will be applied to my account for not returning my defected device. This cannot be done until I receive the new phone. AMAZING. read more

the absolute worst store. i went in for a trade promotion on black friday, i had not backed up my phone for a while so the sales guy told me to "take my time, no hurry"....go home and backup my phone and trade in the old phone whenever i could get to it. so i went to trade it in today to find out there was a 14 day deadline...and they would no longer honor my promotion price. this store has uneducated, try hard associates who will sell you anything to get the deal. i now have to file a complaint with corporate that i'm sure will be denied. beware of this store they are apple wannabes in disguise and will lie to get you to sign with them. rude, unsympathetic, entitled employees and managers...beware of this ripoff of a store read more

My son needed a phone as soon as possible so I called Verizon and they said a phone would be ready for him at this store. He went in and they refused to give him the phone because he did not have a credit card associated with our account. I called Verizon again and they said they contacted the store and told me to ask him to go back and they still would not give him the phone. Executive Relations then got involved and arranged for the pick up of the phone. My son went in a third time and the first person he spoke with refused to give him the phone so he asked for a manager who finally after charging him more than double of that what I was quoted by Verizon gave him the phone. Verizon customer service did take care of us and gave us excellent service. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Do yourself a favor and select a different Verizon store! read more

This place does not have a clue. I walk in, no one acknowledges me. 2 people are working with one customer looking at a screen, and I swear - no one says anything or types on the screen - they just look at it for a solid 10 minutes. then someone comes from the back and calls out "Claudia?" and the person standing next to me - we've both been standing there 20 minutes - says 'that's not my name, but you can call me Claudia' (that was a smart move!) so after 30 minutes, two guys come rushing out from the back and work with another person - by now, am the last man standing, and when they start to rush to the back-room I indicate my presence and they say 'oh, you are not checked in?" I look around and there are only the 3 of us left in the store! So, he says, 'i'll check you in and there is only 2 people in front of you' there is no one else in the store!!!!! read more
