About 90 minutes after my service window, they 'cancelled' my service. We managed to get them to reopen the service, and got it listed as an emergency (phone has been out for a week, customer is blind and has Parkinson's). 4 more hours of no word and no show. Even an hour after their new 'window' passed, I haven't heard another word. They have no physical presence anywhere, so there's no one in this country that you can talk / complain to. They also have a monopoly, they are the only service available. Or, would be available if the service worked. If you have ANY other option, you'll be better off than with Century Link.

I was so nervous to make the switch from Comcast to Dish but after 3 months now I wish I had made…read morethe decision long ago. First, the price is lower for what you get and you are locked in for at least 2 years so no raising rates every 3-6 months. Second, I thought the learning curve to use a new system/remote would suck. Ahhh this system couldn't be easier. ALL of the remote buttons are clearly labeled so you know what they do & no extra buttons. You only need 1 remote to work each tv not 2 or 3! We can record & have DVR capability on all 4 tvs, 250 channel package + showtime for $117 a month. We had NO recording capabilities, no DVR & only able to access on demand from 1 tv with Comcast for $189 a month. The Comcast remote was junk & had so many buttons we never ever used & took a week to figure out. The picture quality is SO much better with dish. My biggest worry was would I lose reception in bad weather. Not an issue because yes you can lose reception in bad weather but guess what...I know if weather is bad & I can set to record a show if I don't want to miss part of it and I can do this remotely if I need to from anywhere I am. So far every issue I had concerns about have been no worries!
