(Don't worry I'll be upgrading soon enough) I've replaced a battery before successfully on another phone but After digging into all the options I find buying batteries off Amazon or eBay is a crapshoot at best. There's more truth in "if it's too good to be true it probably isn't" than in any of the hype and advertising for all the aftermarket batteries. Next I could take it to the Genius Bar but I'd be detached from my Apple crack 3-5 days too long. Now I'm speculating that might cost me $70 min there, so I opted to splurge another $30 to have it done while waiting. If it was only $70 I would have given them 5 stars but even at that premium cost I'm still pleased by the professionalism and speed of service. While we were told it would take an hour, I left them with my wife's number to call or text if it's done sooner. So we had sushi three stores down and just as we were paying the bill we got the call right around 30 minutes; which is kinda what I was expecting/hoping for, So the battery comes with a 6 month service warranty and while I have no expectation it will last as long as the original battery if I get a year or two more maybe that should be fine..... if not I'll be sure to update this review.

That's completely unacceptable behavior toward a paying customer. They never mentioned repairs would take 2-3 days. I was clearly told it would be done overnight or the next day, which I have in writing. Once they had my laptop, the story suddenly changed. The communication was chaotic and inconsistent. They also pressured me for my password even after I explained that my computer contains sensitive client banking data, then backtracked and said they didn't need it. For that, they charged almost $300 for a basic cleaning and repaste. Their Google page doesn't even list a proper address, which is concerning for a repair shop. Unprofessional, disorganized, overpriced, disrespectful, and completely lacking in understanding for people with disabilities. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I'd rather trash the laptop than hand it back to Ted -- that says everything about how much I trust his shop.

Well, that's basically nothing more than an old wives tale now, but you can still get a small taste of the experience when you go to iCity repair! And it's not the phony kind of helpful, they've helped me with certain things long after the repair warranty was up at no charge just because I've bee goin there so long... Where TF are you gonna find that kind of thing today?! Nowhere! (I hope you don't mind me bringing that up David, now everyone will expect freebies ). Except instead of a big store, you'll visit a small kiosk under the escalators near the main entrance! (How many times have I seen that commercial?). I'm not even sure how many repairs I've had done here (They've been around a while, and I'm a complete butterfingers) but I'd say it's gotta be at least 15, but not as many as 30... mmm nah, probably not.
