I am not even sure they deserve a one star rating. I was a AT&T customer since 2019. I liked there…read morecustomer service it was better than straight talk who I was with before. But that changed, October 2023 I called in to get my phone unlocked, since the phone was paid for it should have came unlocked. I called into AT&T they gave me the instructions how to unlock it and the code. Followed the instructions they gave. It's unlocked but it screwed up some features on my phone. The data was not working and the hotspot was not working either which I depend on both. I went to the Sheldon store they were closed for a week. I did some simple diagnoses reboot the phone to reseat the SIM card, The simple things, and also reset the network settings. Nothing was working. So went to the Sioux Center store, no help what so ever. They told me to take it to a computer shop to have them fix it. They told me they don't offer tech support for any devices they sell which I have found to be sad. This computer shop does repairs and sales on any make of phones, my phone was only 4 months old and still under warranty. After being on the phone with support for hours. I wasted 2 days trying things to get it resolved nothing was working. I gave up brought the phone to Verizon and switched. They got my phone to work the way is it was supposed to.. Reason I went to AT&T it was because of convenience since it was a few blocks away and if I had questions, I can walk down the street and get some answers. AT&T in Sheldon used to be good. It was bad enough that even my parents switched as well, when they went in there they asked to have something changed in there plan, the staff would tell them to call 611 to have them fix it and blamed it that it was a corporate thing if it was that's sad. AT&T you can do better like you were once before!
