The name of the business is deceptive, otherwise nice and friendly.

Like a franchise band spanning the generations, Home Town keeps the dream alive with clean cars and…read moreemissions checks year-round. Because Car Nutz was too awesome of a name, and due to my now-defunct free wash coupons, I was sad to see the old place go. The old place that replaced the first place (I think Auto Bell). But I was just as happy to see no drop-off in service or options. Primarily I go here for emissions. They're cheaper than many around, currently $7 cheaper. For those so inclined, that'll get you a Venti drink thing next door. Take it up a notch and pay it forward on a top-line wash package upgrade. For $5 more you get the Manager's Special wash + emissions test included. You can get the wash right then or a voucher code for future use. The Special isn't a gimmick: it's like you won the charity-band-fund-raiser lottery extraordinaire. Multi-colored lights make you feel like it's rolller-derby night while your car is getting the spa treatment, with brand-name sounding hot waxes and wheel scrubs. Uh-uh-uh! Foot off the brake and car in neutral, unless you want the "1.5 minute wash" which doesn't do it (not that I know from personal experience or anything), or if you like bumper-damage insurance claims. Avoid the rear-car residue here with a hand pre-wash on every vehicle, saving you from that typical dirty rear window. Free vacuums, floor mat cleaners, and cleaning products complete the package for those wanting self-serve shine. I'll return because we have too many cars. That's a first-world problem so I'm not complaining. It's not like every single one of them is a solid gold Rolls. I mix it up with a platinum model thrown in there. If this thing ever stops being a car wash, I suggest a Taco Bell, because it would be amazing karma to "bring back the 'Bell." Or maybe Sonic with all those pull-in spots. Plus think about how fabulous dine-in would be.

I've been calling for the past 3 days to try to get an estimate on when my car would be done. I knew that the work I wanted done would take time, which I was fine with, but I wanted to know how long I could expect to be without a car for. The past 2 mornings I called, they told me my car was in the bay and would be done soon. Today, I drove by the shop and my car was parked in the exact place I left it Tuesday. I called again, and was told that my car was in a bay being worked on. When I told him I had just driven by and seen that it was not, he said there "was another car out back" of the same make, model, and color of my car that he and another employee had both apparently "mistaken for mine" on what was now 4 seperate occasions. I just don't appreciate being lied to nor do I understand what the point of making an appointment is if it takes a week from my appointment time to even get my car looked at.

For internal reference, the repair order number for the workshop is 44229…read more I would like to share my unfortunate experience with this workshop. On february 2, 2025, I took my 2013 Chevrolet Sonic in for service due to an oil leak and the P2076 error code. **About Error Code P2076:** This code indicates an issue with the **Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance**. It typically means that the intake manifold tuning valve is not functioning correctly, which can lead to reduced engine efficiency, poor fuel economy, and potential drivability issues. Proper diagnosis and repair involve checking the valve, sensors, and related components to ensure they are operating as intended. I would like to break down the invoice so that the reader can have a clearer understanding of the services provided: **Parts and Labor:** - **Valve Cover Gasket - Removal and Replacement** - Labor: $187.50 - Part Price: $274.99 - **Intake Manifold Tune Valve Solenoid - Removal and Replacement** - Labor: $250.00 - Intake Runner Control Part Price: $505.02 **Total Invoice Amount: $1,158.31** From the moment I picked up my car, the check engine light has come back on, once again displaying the P2076 error code. I have returned to the workshop twice, yet the issue persists--the check engine light and the P2076 error remain unresolved. Unfortunately, I now have no choice but to take my car to a more reputable workshop where they can properly diagnose and fix the issue, accepting that the money I spent here is lost. I never imagined that a workshop would find it so difficult to simply drive a vehicle for 10 or 15 miles to ensure it is in proper working condition. I lost $1,000--that can be recovered. But Magic Mike's lost my trust and earned a negative review. For anyone interested, I am more than willing to provide videos, photos, and invoices privately. Just one more negative review.
