He handled my daughter with so much patience, calmness, and compassion, even while she was extremely upset. He took the time to carefully remove all of the wax from her ears so he could get a good look and properly evaluate what was going on. He also noticed that she was experiencing discomfort from a rash after a vaccine and went above and beyond by offering her medicine right there in the office to help make her more comfortable. The woman at the front desk was also incredibly sweet, welcoming, and clearly knew exactly what she was doing. It made such a difference, especially when walking in with a sick and very upset child. You never know what kind of experience you're going to have at an urgent care, but I truly couldn't have asked for a better one. We brought our infant son to PM Pediatrics in Selden for an RSV test and the entire experience has…read morebeen extremely disappointing. When the nurse assistant came into the room to take the swab, he never confirmed our child's name or information. My wife immediately noticed that the test container had the wrong name on it, but instead of correcting it on the spot, it seems it was left as is. Now, more than 48 hours later, we still do not have any test results. Each time we called to follow up and explained that the name was wrong on the container, we were told the same generic response: "test results take 24 to 48 hours." Not once did anyone take ownership of the mistake or provide a clear answer on whether our son's test was actually processed correctly. As first time parents, this situation has caused a lot of unnecessary stress and worry. Accuracy and proper communication should be the most basic standards in pediatric care, especially when testing an infant for RSV. Instead, we left feeling ignored and brushed off, without confidence in the care or the system in place. Parents trust facilities like this with their children's health, and unfortunately our trust has been completely shaken by this experience. If you do bring your child here, double check every label, name, and detail before allowing them to proceed, because clearly the staff does not.

People who complain about the wait times in my opinion are unrealistic, good providers take their time, providers who rush the appointment can miss something important about your child and their development so I never mind waiting. When my son has RSV at 6 months, the doctor and the PA were in our room for 45mins trying to prevent a hospital visit. That day, someone had to wait... this office will always be 5 star to me!
