As someone who spent 10 years as a strength and conditioning coach with plenty of experience working with various clinicians I would say my standard for what makes a great massage practitioner is pretty high. Vanessa was a consummate professional from the very start. She was welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Also her studio was very inviting and relaxing. On top of all that she knows her anatomy, is highly communicative, and you can sense from her technique she is intuitive about where your body is in need of the most work. I highly highly recommend her. She will be a necessary part of my training regimen moving forward. read more

I'm finally getting around to doing a much deserved 5-star review!! I have been to see Vanessa 3 times in the past 2 months. I first came to The Hidden Gem thanks to the great reviews here on yelp! I was NOT disappointed ( thanks yelpers!). Vanessa is extremely intuitive and knows what your body needs! The moment you start to think, "Oh! I'm really sore in this area, I didn't realize..." she's already found that spot and has begun working on it! After my first session we started doing cupping. As a dancer turned dispatcher, my body was going through a lot of pain from the stress of the job and due to being less mobile than what I'm used to. CUPPING IS AMAZING! We've used both the plastic and glass methods and both are fantastic. Try it! Any discoloration clears up in a weeks time, just stay hydrated! She really does anything she can to help you with whatever is ailing you. Go see her. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! read more

AMAZING! Vanessa is great and takes care of you very well. Left super relaxed! Thank you! read more

I was in town for a friend's wedding recently and we had a girls' day, which included massages. Let me preface this by stating that I am a certified massage therapist and am, therefore, extremely picky when it comes to massage and body treatments...Vanessa was AMAZING. You could tell from the moment her hands were on that she knew what she was doing and that she truly wanted to address your concerns and trouble areas so that you'd leave feeling better than when you came in. She has many years of practice and it really shows through her techniques. It was simultaneously relaxing and therapeutic. I wish that I had a therapist like Vanessa near me! If I lived there, she'd be my one and only therapist from now on. Looks like I'll just have to look forward to visiting my friend more often and booking a massage each time I go! Thanks, Vanessa! read more

I was a little apprehensive about getting a massage, as I have a back injury, but I am so glad I did. From the moment I entered her space, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. She checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay and it made the experience so much better! The day after I am a little sore but I feel amazing. read more

What a sweetheart Vanessa is! Calm demeanor, lovely studio (note that although it's located in Windsor Apartments, the studio is not a residence). I had a 90 minute massage, in which she was very careful of health issues I brought up and helped to relax me fully and relieve some of the pain I had been experiencing. I definitely plan to do this again! read more

The Hidden Gem is truly a special place, intimate, peaceful & full of good energy....literally a little gem of a place born from the gift of healing and wanting to help heal others through the powerful hands & soul of its owner Vanessa. As a natural healer myself, I know what to look for & what to expect & my experience with Vanessa exceeded all that. She gives you the one on one attention everyone deserves but not always gets when getting a massage, she connects on a human & personal level through her healing work. Her intuition is shown through her massage, understanding exactly what you need. Before hand she will take her time to sit with you & go through the form provided for you to fill in so that she knows exactly how to customize your treatment, what you like & don't like, weak spots, injures & areas to focus on the most. She takes pride in what she does & it shows. You will not be seen or treated as "just another client" but you will be seen & treated as a soul who needs healing & she will make sure you leave knowing she truly cares & works her healing energy on you to help you feel good & balanced & truly taken care of. The Hidden Gem offers many amazing different services that can be customized to your needs. This is a place of acceptance, love, peace & healing where whatever service you chose to have will be a true experience that will stay with you long after your visit. Thank you Vanessa for using your gift for a greater purpose. Love&Light, Angie. Xo read more

The Hidden Gem is absolutely the best massage therapy facility I've ever been too. I traveled throughout Asia and Scandinavia for over 25 years and have had various types of therapy massages... The Hidden Gen is the best I've had. I went in today after standing on my feet at a technology exhibition last week and flew home Friday. I tore my ACL a few years ago so standing for long periods is painful. My daughter recommended The Hidden Gem Saturday after seeing me hobble around the house. I made an appointment for Sunday... After my appointment the pain in both legs were gone, really. Can't believe how good I feel and I will be back... Thanks Nez... I will be purchasing your 6 appointment package! read more

Missy has been my Masseuse for several years and she is fantastic. Vanessa Franco was the best!!! Oh my goodness.. the minute heals in and smell the aromatherapy and candles of tranquility you immediately feel at peace. Then you get her healing therapy massage. Wow! Out if the world. No lying. I've had many a massage at large spas. But this one is by far the best I've ever had. I asked where she learned these techniques and she said they had been instilled by her grandfather who began teaching her if shaking since she was. Age 9. I left feeling like all the bad energy of my sicknesses and ailments left me. You definitely need to set an appointment. I was sent to her and this massage was a gift that I'll never forget. Thank you Vanessa! read more

Vanessa "Nez" was amazing! Super knowledgeable and great personality. Her office is the best! You feel welcome and at home the minute you walk in the door. My reiki treatment was very healing. I felt so light when I walked out the office. Def recommend Nez at the hidden gem to anyone that would like a massage (she used to be a massage therapist at Burke Williams) or reiki treatment. read more

This place is beyond wonderful. I had the pleasure to have a therapy session with Anasia who treated me with the upmost care and attention. The treatment helped more than my muscle pain out but a lot of the mental pain I was feeling too. The energy and vibes of this place is A1 and as a person who is usually skeptical and reserved, the Hidden Gem had the power to really opened my world. read more

The Vanessa's are amazing. Vanessa Franco massaged away all my knots (NOT an easy task, mind you) and left me pain free in my neck and shoulders for the first time in WEEKS. And despite having the world's most sensitive Irish skin, Vanessa Villarreal pampered my face and left my face glowing with ZERO redness or irritation. Best massage and facial combo ever! Wow I am so amazed at the quick response I received. I'm feeling low in my energy and I had a friend who recommended me here and I also read the reviews. I called and my called was missed and she called back. ( we played a little phone tagged ;) I let her know I was feeling low and she booked me in right away. That is five stars to begin with and I'm so excited to see her later. I'm glad it's called the hidden gem because it's truly a gem to have someone respond and actually care for your needs such as my energy being so low. Thank you thank you!!! read more

I've followed Vanessa, owner of The Hidden Gem for a few years now because she's the absolute best massage therapist you will find! The spa is a beautiful, relaxing environment that compliments the amazing services perfectly! Now Wild Vine Skincare has joined the team and I couldn't be more excited! I've searched and searched for the right esthetician for the last 10 years and while some were good, none have been great. I have sensitive skin and I love that "clean" feeling. I want my skin to glow with little effort. Vanessa (the other Vanessa), owner of Wild Vine is the real deal! I'm so excited to have her as my esthetician now. My first treatment was 1 week ago, haven't had any in 1 year. One week later, my skin looks and feels amazing! The products are pure, smell amazing and work wonders. Vanessa is honest, takes her time and does what's right for her client. I couldn't be happier! read more

Missy provided an exceptional experience from start to finish. I came across the Hidden Gem after traveling, as I do very often (I have had all types of massages all over the world) and it ended up being the best massage I have ever had! Not only were my muscle pains alleviated after leaving, she was very skilled in energy healing and was highly intuitive of exactly what my body needed head to toe. She used breath work and essential oils to enhance the experience and what a difference it made! I felt like a mess walking in the door and left feeling light, relaxed and grounded again. I can't wait to make it back here, I would recommend her skill to anyone :) read more

It's been a while since I've gotten a good and relaxing massage. I've been to all the high end and low end spas and hated! I'm so glad to have met Vanessa! She's professional and knows a lot about the body. She didn't try to up sell anything... which is always a plus. I just allowed her to do her magic... it's was amazing! Her Pressure was on point... worth every penny!!! LOVE her "paying it forward" program!!! Thank you! read more

This review is long overdue. I've been receiving massages from Vanessa since middle of last year! I've been getting massages for years and I happened to have met Vanessa through a friend and I tried one of her massages and now I am absolutely hooked. She puts ALOT of attention and care into what your body and soul needs. As an intuitive healer myself, she gives me what my soul needs after a long week of helping others. My soul feels full after a session with her. She also is mobile, which saves me time when I'm in between clients. I am deeply grateful to have crossed paths with her. Call to book a session with her, just do it, your soul will thank you! read more
