We've been taking our kiddos to Little Hands for about 6 months now and cannot say enough good…read morethings. All the teachers are fantastic; they're happy to be there, they're great with the kids, and most of them are eager to communicate about your child's day and work with you on developmental goals (our youngest is potty training and they've been helpful with suggestions and ideas for success and are never judgmental about our approach). I love the fact that their day consists of learning new things, tons of reading, TONS AND TONS of artwork, and a decent amount of outside time. I've always thought a good way to tell if a child has enjoyed themselves is to just look at them. My kids come home filthy almost every day and I'm thrilled by that! They are playing hard and discovering new things and on those occasions when we can't be there to do that with them, I'm comforted to know they're surrounded by people who will nurture their curiosity and sense of adventure. Like most of the other centers in town, they have the tumble bus once a week but they also have yoga once a week and my kids have benefited from that more than I ever would have guessed. They both really enjoy that time and I would love to see other opportunities like dance or martial arts someday. I think it's a great way to introduce the kids to different activities and give them a taste of everything so they can decide which ones to pursue further on our own. Overall, I think this is a great place! They're growing and improving constantly and I'm excited my kids get to be a part of it.

The staff and teachers are so wonderful and caring with my little one and the kids currently enrolled there. She is totally getting the developmental attention she needs. She gets to do arts and crafts, gets outside time, and has plenty of interaction with kids and adults. The teachers keep all your suggestions and comments in mind and will update you with information you would want to know (I want to know everything ;-) about my baby! haha). Since we both work it was important to find people we could rely on. So happy our baby is with trusting people and I would recommend LHLC to all parents!

Despite providing them with extensive resources on how to care for a child with hearing loss, they refused to implement any of the suggestions or accommodations. This has only made my son feel like an outsider and a target, which is heartbreaking as a parent. The daycare's lack of empathy and understanding for children with disabilities is clear. My son was penalized for age-appropriate behavior like hitting and kicking, which he doesn't exhibit at home or with friends, and certainly not at Sunday school. This behavior, typical for his age just recently started within the last month. This behavior is age appropriate and was certainly not a continued issue. When asked about how it was happening they could only provide excuses about the teachers, other students and never answered my questions. The communication between teachers is abysmal, and the high turnover rate among staff only exacerbates the issue. There seems to be a lack of commitment to consistent care, and the owner, Joanne, seems to view children as dollar signs rather than individuals in need of genuine care and attention. Teachers are trained, but it doesn't seem to make any difference--there's little to no real progress in creating a nurturing environment. The classroom is chaotic, with 16 toddlers crammed into a small space, leaving no room for meaningful interaction or learning. It feels more like a fishbowl than a place for children to grow, and it is impossible for a child to thrive in this kind of environment. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your child's care. There are plenty of other daycare facilities that are equipped to handle children with special needs or any kind of disability. (A handful of reviews have stated this regarding children with disabilities, learning delays or special needs) This place is just not the right fit and has made what should be a positive experience a stressful and disheartening one for both my child and myself.
