A week ago, Jay was absolutely amazing showing us a half dozen pairs of sunglasses in the display case, in which we bought 2. Super personable and helpful. Last night, Amari spent time showing us the men's watches in the display case. Super awesome experience. We ended up buying 3 watches. Both gentlemen were extremely helpful, kind, patient and just really genuine people. It's not often in today's retail world to have such a great interaction with staff, but having 2 above and beyond, 5 star service from 2 was truly awesome and they deserve the shoutout and recognition.

Today i bought 8 of the tshirts that are marked $4.37 but are again always 30% off or $2.99. i honestly think the cashier was the same new girl from the last visit (3weeksago). she rings up the first two shirts at $4.37 each. i told her that they were always 30% off and she just blankly stared at me and grabbed another shirt to ring up at $4.37. i said please stop as i am not paying that price so please look on your sheet to see that they are $2.99. She really didn't seem to have a clue what to do at this point so i said to the cashier at the next register "how much are these shirts?". trying to assure the young girl that they were $2.99. the other cashier said they are $2.99 30% off and told me to not scold her as she's new and that i should be patient with her?! what? who wasn't patient? i got that she didn't have a clue what to do and was trying to get her some assistance on how to proceed as she had frozen. The nerve of that woman to criticize me in front of many others when i was supportive of the young girl without mindlessly paying twice the cost so she wouldn't have to deal with the real price. So.disgusted. if someone needs extra training - please provide it to them but don't yell at your customers when they try to work through the situation.

I ordered on April 27, 2026, and waited over two months for installation on June 29 (he stated they ship from a factory in China). After the long wait and high expense, the inside-mount shutters completely block my double-hung windows from tilting inward to clean and make it impossible to remove window screens--a direct issue for my HOA requirements. Identifying window compatibility before taking measurements is standard professional practice. Since June 29, I have spent over three months trying to resolve this: Matt refused to fix his mistake and demanded an additional $804.37 to switch them to an outside mount. Budget Blinds Corporate declined to intervene, deflecting responsibility back to the franchisee. Their advertised "No Questions Asked" warranty offered no solution. I filed complaints with both the Better Business Bureau (which Matt ignored) and the Illinois Attorney General's Office (awaiting update). As a 70-year-old senior on a fixed income, I relied on a professional so I wouldn't face these issues, only to be expected to pay hundreds more to correct a design oversight. I strongly advise going elsewhere for an experienced company that can identify what will work on your personal windows, takes responsibility, and values its customers--Matt Ozimek's Budget Blinds franchise is NOT IT!
