This little shop, in my opinion, is probably one of the most slept on gems in McHenry County. I loved their initial space, but now that they've moved across the street to the larger space, they're thriving and have become my go-to place for houseplants, greeting cards, gifts, and little trinkets. Their sticker collection is to die for. The plants are beautiful and the variety is always amazing -- Tuesday is one of my favorite days to scroll through Facebook simply because I get to see what gorgeous plants have come in for the weekly shipment. Simply put, the ladies behind Verdant Sol have created such an amazing, welcoming business, and I'm so happy to have them in the area. If you stop by, make sure to check out some of the gorgeous terrariums that Greta puts together. They're beautifully and carefully curated, and it's such a fun gift idea (for others or yourself!). I absolutely love shopping at Verdant Sol in McHenry. The atmosphere of the shop is so inviting that I instantly feel stress free as I am always greeted with a welcoming smile, cool plants, amazing items to buy and a neat wicker chair to sit on and take a break after a fun time. This is a little gem of a place. A wonderful selection of interesting plants that changes all the time. They also have tons of cool stuff like planters, macramé hangers and other plant accessories.
