Window Universe will be my first choice for windows. It turns out that they did not install the window that was broke, but they fixed it anyway.

ll start off with this. No gimmicks. FOREVER WARRANTEE. (yea…read morereally) No "Time share" sales tactics. No telling me "My wife had to be there for the initial visit" (That is also a timeshare selling tactic) No Special "back to school pricing" gimmicks. No buy one get one free. No LYING and saying the competition makes inferior windows (Then when you see what Window universe does it is actually better than the other company) I got 18 quotes for work on my house 5 window quotes. so I am tired and cranky. I didnt call Window Universe intially. (my mistake) I had one company (Who I wont review) that was all the way up to getting a downpayment from me. They seemed good initially but I had to fire them when they didnt show up (it was a fourth offence) Too bad. Well I called Window Universe they came out fast. The quoting process was fast. The person (lance) who came out was very personable. Now I didnt realize this but their quote was 1500 less than the other guy I fired. Also Lance is a dialed in person. He called Provia on my door and he told me that the door I was getting was not compatible so we had to switch. The previous guy was going to give me that door with the side lights. (Was it going to even work??) yeah so there was that. The appointment took minutes. We also talked about basement glass block windows. Their prices. Right on the sheet AND they were really good about 1/2 what I expected to pay. So I am going to do that too before the winter. Anyhow when all was said and done Window Universe was less than the guy I almost used and Lance double checked he got the proper sized windows and sidelights. Great experience and I still have 3+ weeks before the windows show up. Ill come back and add some pictures after it is done. I know it is going to be great.

I and neighbors saw to many out of state "contractors" arrive with their pads and pens in hand ready to quote and get a handshake and in many cases GET $$$$$$ A-DEPOSIT.an then you may or may not see some if these guys again. I personally had a contractor BEFORE CHIP NWO RENOVATIONS THAT I SIGNED WITH AND THE COMPANY AS IT TURNED OUT SUB CONTRACTED WITH A CONTRACTOR JESSIE WHOM PROCEEDED TO RIP ME OFF FOR $2,600.00 for a window down payment I Never got the window. Then I called Jessies Boss in Hudson Mi. only to discovered Jessie was going around doing this to others in my community. Unfortunately, Jessie was not the only one! . I really do not care if Jessie ever sees his name here as he has a-lot to answer for. Then a true God answered prayer I found NWO Renovations and Chip. It was then that all the repair work went so simple and well. I could not believe that there really are Honest Good People in this World. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NWO RENOVATIONS AND CHIP OWNER. we had Aurora exteriors do our windows, doors, soffit, fascia and install our board and batten…read more First, it took them almost a year from start to finish, windows were ordered in the wrong colours putting our new build behind, the patio doors came in wrong and then took 9 months for a new piece to come in so the could install it properly, again putting our build behind. The soffit was started in September 2022, the came for a week then abandoned our job until March 2023 (September, October, November and December 2022 were beautiful and weather was not an excuse). They installed the aluminum drip rail on top of the stone and left all the edges unfinished so they are crazy sharp and exposed, looks awful and is extremely dangerous especially for young kids. The owner is awful to deal with, everything that happened on our job was someone else's fault and he never once took blame for his own doing. He went on a snowmobile trip in March and didnt leave his guys our plans so they installed board and batten on our peaks which were supposed to be shake. They had to tear down the board and batten and replace it with shake, ruined thousands of dollars of board and batten and refused to cover the cost. 3 of the doors are not what we thought we ordered, but because it was such a hassle to deal with them we settled and kept the ones we didn't want. Long story short the whole experience was a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

I knew which windows (4 of them) I wanted replaced since an Anderson Renewal guy had come out separately to inspect & provide a quote. Chris from Main Street was extremely kind, helpful, and upfront. I chose them ultimately because of this pleasant meeting, urgency for the replacement, and fair price. He was my only point of contact the whole job which was nice and he was on top of communicating things throughout the whole process. We also have siding being replaced so he communicated with my other contractor to coordinate timing. Pricing was very reasonable compared to Renewal but more expensive than a DIY vinyl install because of the window quality. I wanted a window that would last and was willing to pay more. The Anderson 100 series installed was literally half the cost of what Renewal had quoted me (I believe they quoted the 300 series) but are very high quality windows regardless and we really like them. There are some minor aesthetic defects from the manufacturing of the windows (pictured here) but they can be trimmed off very easily and aren't a concern. The installer Dre came in with Dan as support and they did a beautiful job. I had plenty of notice beforehand and they finished the job exactly as estimated (about 6 hours) after cleaning up very nicely. All in all, I thought Main Street Windows had a competitive price, I appreciated their recommendation for the product, they did a great job communicating, and the windows look great.
