Jan: Lam, the owner did my nails.: acrylic with shellac on top. They were perfectly shaped and polished. There was no rushing. Very professional. I'm new to the area so I'm thrilled to find a good salon. I will definitely be coming back every 2-weeks.//March 31: The husband is very friendly. Wife, not at all. I had to break my visit into 2 on Fri-my husband was unexpectedly discharged from the hospital after being there since 3/5. I had to bring him back w/me because he can't stay alone due to Parkinson's. They wouldn't let me schedule appt because twice, I unavoidably ran late for appts (everything about my life revolves around what's necessary for my husband: my things get canceled all the time.) I called, apologized for being late, asked if I should reschedule. they wouldn't let me schedule appts anymore. I get that, but on 3/31, I didn't appreciate the fact that Lam was telling all the customers why he wouldn't let me schedule (as I was walking out of the door.) when I came back w/husband, he had 3 pedicures. I couldn't make my husband wait thru 3 peds, then overlays for me. Lam was talking about me as I was leaving the store; the door was open so I heard the comments and went back in. I told everybody that I'd been late, that I apologized and called, but Lam made a bigger deal of it. It was unprofessional and rude. I gave them their first review on Yelp and it was 5 stars. I've knocked it down to 2 only because Lam does a nice job. The wife is nasty - if I could, I would take my $7 tip back from her for my pedicure, no polish. I do get that it's not cool to be late for an appt. it was unavoidable and I did call, but keep the negative comments to themselves - they don't need to discuss me amongst their other customers. I went to the same salon and owner for 11-years in SW Florida and there were many times I had to call and change an appt. Unfortunately, never at the last minute. Of course I'm never going back to this salon. read more
