It was a large event venue that provided a large open reception area then a smaller venue for (what was used for this event) an award ceremony. The building was renovated in a clean and updated materials. The fish pond was a unique addition to the reception area! Single stall bathrooms were what we were pointed to for this venue - clean with the typical bathroom amenities but no additional necessities, at least in the women's restroom. Large windows in both room allowed natural lighting, seating was circular tables accommodating 10+ seats. Uncertain if the organization or Goei provided those. Bartenders were kind and friendly. I order my cocktails neat, so I'm not certain if there are mixologists or masters of their trade. Overall, great service.

First, the venue was not set up for us. Then they tried to tell me vegans can just eat lettuce, tomatoes and other random sides. The chef was actually pretty good it was the other staff that didn't understand dietary restrictions. Many sound issues. Then they our rooms that WE RESERVED months in advance were changed twice. How do you keep double booking rooms? When you print signs, materials and arrange a room for a certain purpose then are asked to be change rooms because they double booked it! For our 2 day event we ended up moving and arranging a lot of tables and chairs ourselves because it got to the point where we couldn't trust the staff to do much. You would ask for something and they would promise to get it done, then the next day wouldn't be done. To top it off, once our event was over the manager above the general manager promised to call me and never did! DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.

Two small issues during the ceremony - someone was driving a side by side around with a child who was expressing how happy he was (but maybe wait until the ceremony is done), and the driveway to the parking area runs right along the ceremony site. Three vehicles came in after the ceremony started and it was extremely distracting and took the bride's attention away, so maybe pause the vehicles coming in during the ceremony. We really appreciated being able to decorate and rehearse the night before -- it made the whole wedding weekend feel much less stressful and more organized. Having both the ceremony and reception in the same building was also so convenient for us and our guests. The bar service was excellent. The bartenders were fast and friendly, the coordinator and staff was amazing to work with, and Distinctive Catering did a fantastic job. Great food and Drinks, and even helpful service with buffet. We also loved the DJ they recommended through Complete Wedding + Events. The day-of coordinators were especially wonderful -- they did such a great job converting the ceremony space into a lounge area during cocktail hour while incorporating all of my decor used in the ceremony to the reception perfectly. The two white, male bartenders assigned to her event were not friendly to the guests, creating an off-putting atmosphere right from the start. To make matters worse, several guests overheard the bartenders making racial comments about probably not receiving any tips. This behavior is utterly unacceptable, disgusting and was clearly racially motivated. Given that their wedding was attended primarily by Black and Brown guests we knew exactly why they said it! Absolutely a racist trope that we don't tip or tip well. Multiple guests complained to the bride, groom and/or someone in wedding party about this. It is deeply troubling that a venue they entrusted with such a special occasion would employ individuals who clearly harbor racial bias. All I will say is that minority couples need to be aware. No one should have to worry or deal with this bs on their special day nor should their guests.
