The Cheney Place is an incredible choice for a wedding venue! The entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful. From the day we booked, they were always available to answer any questions or help with anything we needed. They make planning a breeze! Meg was our day of coordinator and she was so sweet and helpful. Coordinated with all of the vendors ahead of time and made sure everything was set up perfectly! Ellie took over later in the day and made sure everything went smoothly and cleaned everything up so quickly and helped us get all of our stuff! I cannot stop raving about how great they were! On top of the great staff, the venue is absolutely stunning. I received so many compliments on how gorgeous the venue was and how it was unique. The elevator entrance for the bride was also a huge hit!! 100% would recommend to anyone that they get married here! read more

My husband and I just got married at The Cheney Place, and I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about this venue! The space is absolutely gorgeous, and I loved that I could have my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same place. Not only is the space amazing, but the people at The Cheney Place are phenomenal. We had Colleen as our Day of Coordinator and she was wonderful. The Cheney Place is absolutely AMAZING. We had our wedding there on August 16, 2025 and everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail. It was such a relief to walk into the venue in the afternoon and see that our vision had completely come to life. Since we are not based in Grand Rapids, we initially worried some of the coordinating may be a bit difficult. But The Cheney Place team was so incredibly kind and accommodating from the time we picked the venue. The Cheney Place and their staff made our day so unbelievably smooth, I cannot say enough about their high level of service and attentiveness. Their in depth planning checkpoints/meetings/emails leading up to the day are an organized bride's dream. I didn't have to lift a finger on the day of; all decorations, coordination, vendor management were executed FLAWLESSLY all while myself, my husband and our family and friends got ready in a relaxed environment allowing us to really enjoy. Everything about my wedding day was absolutely spectacular! The staff, particularly out coordinator Grace, their ability to decorate and tear down without my assistance, and how they're able to work with the vendors effortlessly!
