She's always been responsive and attentive, which makes such a difference when you live somewhere. You can tell she pays attention to the little things that help keep the community looking nice and running smoothly. The hallway carpet cleaning made a big difference, and everything looked much cleaner afterward. The deck being professionally power washed also really improved the overall feel of the property. It's nice to see a manager who is so hands-on and clearly invested in the community. Courtney makes the place feel well cared for, and that means a lot as a resident.

There were multiple issues with the…read morecondition of the apartment at move-in, which made the start of my time here frustrating, and at times it felt like upper management didn't think my concerns were valid. That said, I really want to recognize the maintenance manager, Macy, and the assistant manager, Danielle who have made a huge difference. They have both been incredibly helpful, responsive, and genuinely care about resolving issues. Every maintenance request Macy has handled has been completed correctly and with attention to detail, which has made a big impact. Through all of the issues, both Macy and Danielle consistently took the time to listen and acknowledge my concerns. I never felt dismissed by either of them. They kept me updated throughout the process, often calling or texting to make sure I knew what was happening, and always made me feel respected and taken seriously. While my overall experience has been mixed, I would absolutely rate Danielle and Macy 5 stars for their professionalism, responsiveness, and care. If it weren't for them actively stepping in and following through, my experience here would have been extremely difficult.

Since most people own their units, you can tell residents care about how their place appears. I had a downstairs unit facing the parking lot with so much natural sunlight and had no bug issues whatsoever (my biggest concern before moving anywhere). I do believe it would be helpful to have more maintenance staff on hand, as sometimes it takes a while for services to be completed due to lack of staff. Manny (the service guy) is awesome, though, and goes above and beyond! The complex is also older, so I did have difficulty with appliances breaking more often than I'd like. The only other minor issue is that parking can be tough for guests in the evening. My parking spot was also assigned to a separate lot a bit further away from my unit, but that really wasn't a major deal. Overall, I'd recommend The Allison to anyone looking to rent or buy a clean, safe condo in North Scottsdale!

A WONDERFUL TOUR!!! 2 1/2 hrs well spent!…read more The leasing agent was outstanding and truly deserves recognition for the experience she provided (10 stars and a huge raise with a promotion for her). She walked me through the entire community in detail, highlighting every feature across the multiple towers and condo buildings. It was impressive and made a large, complex property feel easy to understand. From the start, I appreciated the gated, secure resident parking with separate guest parking. Security throughout the property was also a major plus, along with the concierge at entry. Touring the three towers and their amenities was helpful, though it was a bit disappointing that residents don't get access to all buildings especially since some have noticeably more to offer than others. I did love the yoga and zen spaces throughout. The units themselves were all well-designed and comfortable. I especially liked the 1 bedroom plus den layout for its flexibility. The rooftop track and indoor basketball court were standout amenities and honestly among the best I've seen in Scottsdale. On the downside, privacy varies depending on the building, some balconies feel quite close to neighboring units or windows, which wasn't ideal for me. I also wish closet access in the units had locks for added privacy when hosting guests. The courtyard design was underwhelming and feels like a missed opportunity; it lacks warmth and life. With thoughtful redesign more seating, desert landscaping, flowers, and greenery it could be beautiful. During the holidays, it would be incredible to see a large Christmas tree installed in the center with lighting, creating a true winter gathering space. As it stands, it feels like it needs more intention and energy. Package delivery and access also seem like a major pain point drivers appeared to struggle with entry and logistics, which matches other reviews I've seen. Overall, it's a beautiful property with strong amenities, excellent security, and great privacy in certain areas. However, it feels a bit too large and segmented, and some operational details especially packages and the courtyard experience could use improvement. It's a strong option if you value, rooftop amenities, and parking, but may feel too secluded depending on lifestyle preferences.

It's a great place to live! However, I do feel it's important to mention that our move-in experience was impacted by a deranged narcissist who lacks basic kindness. It's a shame to feel bullied by an elderly! Several of our kind neighbors have shared similar experiences, as they too have been treated poorly by the same cruel individual. A little courtesy goes a long way in any community. Also, we believe that attracting more young residents would infuse additional energy and vibrancy into this community, making it an even more dynamic place to live. Lastly, we've noticed that some units often have Airbnb guests, even though the HOA restricts short-term rentals. We hope management takes steps to actually enforce this rule to maintain the integrity of the property & community we bought into.

The property is absolutely beautiful and meticulously maintained, the community is peaceful and welcoming, and the units truly feel like homes, not just apartments. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the incredible team behind it all. Joie, Tracy, and Laura in the leasing office are the heart of this community. They are not only professional and efficient, but deeply kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every resident. You never feel like "just a tenant" you feel valued and cared for. Their warmth, consistency, and willingness to go above and beyond make such a difference. The maintenance crew Dan and Andrew deserves just as much recognition. They are responsive, skilled, and take real pride in their work. They have made a huge difference with the property in such a positive way. Requests are handled quickly and thoroughly, and you can tell they truly care about keeping the property beautiful and safe. It's rare to see this level of dedication and follow-through. This isn't just a place to live, it's a community built by people who genuinely care. And that makes all the difference. If I could live here forever with this team handling the property, I would. Hands down they are the just the best!

I don't usually write bad reviews, but my experience at Desert Parks Vista was frustrating enough…read morethat I feel obligated to share it. From the moment I moved in, it was clear the apartment had not been properly turned. The condition of the unit was unacceptable. Every drawer in the kitchen and bathroom had hair and crumbs inside. There were dirty tweezers left in a bathroom drawer, and even a rat trap sitting under the bathroom sink. On top of that, there was a thick layer of dust on light fixtures, the carpet was heavily stained and damaged, and the bathtub needed resurfacing. I documented and reported these issues right away and was told to submit a work order for each issue. The biggest issue, however, was ongoing noise disturbances from a neighboring unit. This wasn't typical apartment noise. It was loud, bass-heavy music from a stereo system that caused my walls to vibrate and shake, often during quiet hours late at night and early in the morning. Over the course of several months, I sent multiple written complaints and called security numerous times. Each time, management told me they would "talk to the resident" or "look into it." At one point, they told me they were pulling records of all my security calls. Despite this, I never received any follow-up, documentation, or confirmation that anything was actually done. I still don't know if security ever showed up. Nothing was resolved, and the disturbances continued. When I finally made the decision to put in proper notice (according to the lease agreement) to move out because the situation wasn't improving, I was then charged a lease termination fee and additional move-out charges. This included carpet-related charges, even though the carpet was already damaged when I moved in and I had reported it. They breached the lease agreement and I'm stuck with this on my credit report. My only option now is small claims court. What stood out the most throughout this experience was the lack of accountability and follow-through. Management repeatedly acknowledged the issues but did not take meaningful action or communicate updates. There were multiple opportunities to address these problems early on, but they were consistently missed. If management wants to improve, they need to: - Ensure units are actually clean and move-in ready - Take resident complaints seriously - Follow through and provide documentation when issues are reported - Enforce lease terms consistently for all residents I will be including photos to reflect the condition of the apartment at move-in. I would strongly recommend video documenting everything if you choose to live here.

And it's difficult because we are OLD! The reason I'm changing my star review is the last few months, they have not done the increases. We have 3 new building on every side offering 1-2 mos free. Now it can go back at any time. I had 3 rent increase, but I had to move apartments once to get back to a lower rate. AND once you move they rent it at what you were paying!! So I posted before that one year here is fine but be aware it will go up $500 every year, Anyway, that is the reason for the 4 stars - because the people here are wonderful. I want good people to move in. If they keep a small amount each year I will stay. If not, then I move to one of the new buildings around us. This is no reflection on the on-site staff. They are at the mercy of Greystar. I will never rent a Greystar again. Hope this helps

Therefore, I changet my name to Jet B so that you could differentiate me from them. I reiterate: Having been a 6 yr resident at Optima; I hope you will read this. Unfortunately, many of the negative reviews here on YELP are from people who have never lived here, or at best short-term renters. It is sad that these people are so quick to judge. One writer above states that there was dog pee in the elevator and pooh outside. What this person failed to mention is that when you report it to property management, it gets cleaned immediately. And yes, dogs will be dogs; and people will also be people. Someone claimed that some unis were darker than others. With award winning architecture as is here at Optima, sometimes that is the result. I dare anyone to find a more naturally beautiful place inside a growing city such as Scottsdale. Someone also stated that the fitness center is not air conditioned; IT IS AIR CONDITIONED. Any yes, sometimes it is more crowded than other times. That's a testament to how great a place it is. This is a well diversified demographic representation of our society. Three hot tubs, steam rooms, showers, racket and basketball courts, a concierge, and beautiful grounds.
