I hired this company based on its good reviews, so even though I pretty much never write reviews, I…read morefeel an obligation to do it today. What's good: - Service person on the phone is cordial and seems to care - quick dispatch - they're licensed for Carrier units, so it was straightforward: two weeks for the parts - AC from my two broken wall units works again! - I feel like I paid a fair price for the parts & labour What could be better: -service: Followed on parts order a few times (they didn't call me): was told they received the quote but didn't put in parts order as it wasn't under warranty. I had specifically said I wanted this done ASAP, warranty or not, and they didn't bother to call me. The nightmare: They made an incredible mess!! I've been cleaning for 3+ hours (not done) and I'm not a neat freak! I really mean it. Hell, my toddler would never be able to make such an impressive mess over all 3 stories of our house if I gave him a water gun filled with red wine to play with, after feeding him unlimited candy. They made deep scratches and chipped paint on walls nowhere near the units (must've bumped their ladder/tools while carrying them). Those walls were freshly painted 2 weeks ago. We'll need to patch, prime and paint. Again. They didn't wear shoe covers, so I'm dealing with fresh cut grass smears (how they got that in the mix, I don't know, there's a concrete path from the street to our door!). All over our house: dirty floors (and baseboards!) with rubber skid marks. My entire wooden stair case has scuffs that even a Magic Eraser couldn't fully remove. Let's add repainting the stair risers (and a door) to the list. They didn't make much of an effort to protect the floors either, even our carpeted stairs during work, which included torch soldering. They could have just warned me and I would've provided a tarp or plastic, but nope. So there are now small holes burnt in my wooden floor and they left a bunch of black dirt, chunks of rust and miscellaneous debris, like insulation and dust, below both units. I vacuumed carefully, but the first 4 carpeted stairs seem stained with rust, because they stepped into it with boots many many times, and it's REALLY in there now. Guess I'll need to rent a rug shampoo machine to try and fix that. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't need to recarpet a full staircase. After they left, I found a puddle of a weird oily liquid with a strong chemical smell on my walnut dining table and some of my son's toys (several feet away from a unit). No matter how much I clean, use a new rag, or soak the toys, the smell won't go away. What is the mystery liquid you wonder? Who knows, they don't answer the phone past 4:30. This one is a riot: one of them used our bidet, but without being on the seat, so half my washroom was sprayed with water but not wiped off (with nearby towels). They didn't even tell us. Had to clean the room and do laundry. COVID: No masks, gloves, hand washing. I did tell the guy the 1st time that we have at-risk family and take social distancing seriously, but it didn't change a thing. Had to Lysol surfaces across three stories and we're now in full quarantine for 2 weeks to make sure we don't kill family. :( They just weren't careful. They left our doors, handles, walls, units with dark handprints I can't fully remove. The nice one of the two did wipe off the wall around units and my spouse tells me he was wearing a mask when he first came in. The other just seems annoyed to have to be here. We said our son was napping and they were: yelling across 3 floors, banging up and down the stairs, and also soldering without opening a door, so the smoke alarm went off a few times and there was no warning, asking for help, or any attempt to fix it. After today, I'm down: - $2500+ for diagnostics and repair - 4+ hours of cleaning - 4+ hours for patching, priming, painting - $$ & time for shampooing -perhaps replacing- the stair carpet - two weeks of unnecessary quarantine - Kids toys I threw away And might have a toxic dining table? At least, the AC works. UPDATE: The unit has been leaking, and it turns out they left a bunch of debris in the unit which blocked the drain, used the wrong screw and pierced the condensate pan with it when reassembling the unit. Tried calling several times and it's straight to voice mail each time, so I fixed it myself. Will keep trying to see if they can make it right, and I'll update if there's follow up on their end.

I have a Friedrich unit that needs repairs. Their website clearly states that they are Friedrich…read moreservice and repair techs. Called them and things went south fast. Person that responded was rude as heck. Wouldn't speak to me in English and would only speak to me in French if I spoke to him in French. Asked him that I need a Friedrich unit to be serviced, he tells me that they don't repair that (didn't even get to the model number). Told him that their website states that they do, he tells me they have no parts. Uhhhh... what? So why bother wasting people's time with false info on website?
