Le Pôeme popped up with solid reviews, and after realizing it was just a short, easy walk from the cruise terminal, I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. The coffee was delicious, and the pistachio cake was the real star--perfectly moist, rich, and decadent without being overly sweet. One of those desserts you slow down for and truly enjoy. My friend had the chocolate croissant and also said that it was perfect. The service was fast and friendly, which is always appreciated when you're exploring on limited time. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot whether you want to relax inside or soak in the energy of the city outside. If you're stopping in Cádiz--especially on a cruise--and want a great coffee, a memorable treat, and a front-row seat to everyday life, Le Pôeme is absolutely worth the visit

My table ordered a shrimp fettuccine alfredo, lasagne, and the seafood spaghetti. All dishes were very delicious and filling. My favorite out of the three was the lasagne. The sangria is pretty good here as well. We decided to also sample some desserts. My friend ordered the mint panna cotte and the chocolate cake. I was not too thrilled with the panna cotte as the texture was just weird for me. It had a flan/jello like texture but my palette did not want to accept it. The chocolate cake was delicious! We had the Vietnamese rolls with deep fried mussels. This was so good we debated getting another one. Day 1 also included their special of the day, a beef taco that was excellent again. Day 2 we had the croquette, and the fried cod with artichoke flower. Light and not heavy. Just the right amount of batter. Then we had the ribs, eat them as a lettuce wrap taco. The meat fell off the bones and the flavor was a sticky Asian bbq. We sat outside at the square both days at mid day and enjoyed watching locals sitting for their lunch and heading home for their siesta.
