I had a blocked washing machine drain. After my several attempts to unblock the drain, I called…read moreWillis Plumbing and made an appointment for the following morning. It turns out, Don Willis was formerly affiliated with KTK Plumbing and had installed a kitchen sink faucet in my home a couple years ago. They (he was accompanied by his son, an apprentice, I believe) arrived on time and quickly went to work. When they moved the washing machine to make access to the drain easier they "discovered" a secondary access to the drain. Using both access, as well as a hundred foot snake, the cleaned out the drain all the way to my septic system. The whole job took about an hour, and I've had no drainage problems since then.

Mike is a very nice, efficient technician. With the clogged toilet, he was at my home in less than 24 hours and cleared my toilet in no time! With the kitchen sink, Mike took everything apart and cleared some debris, but the water pressure was still very poor. (The faucet was the original.) Mike's recommendation was to purchase a new faucet or flush out the line. I went with the less expensive option and purchased a reasonably priced faucet. Problem solved!

During the drought we had no water pressure, and no running water in the master shower. With one phone call, in 15 minutes, and on a SUNDAY, DRAIN MAN was at our doorstep and he had us back in the water business!! Not only did he fix the problem, but he had to go wading knee deep in grass to locate the meter (initially the water district told us the incorrect location as to where the shut off valve was!) He installed a shut off valve which we can now quickly access at home level, so all we need to do is turn a switch and quickly shut the water off so that the water pump is not destroyed. Previously the plumber put in a new pump, which did not fix water pressure!! Not only did he fix the problem, but he explained the process so I understood exactly what he was doing! Another problem he discovered was that the knobs had been installed backwards in the master shower. I hate to think how much water was wasted waiting for the water TO GET HOT!! ! It always seemed curious to me why I HAD TO TURN THE COLD WATER ON TO GET HOT WATER!! WATER CONSERVATION IS A MUST!! Mystery solved and he fixed the problem quickly!! I say THUMBS UP TO DRAIN MAN and GOODBYE TO WASTING WATER, and NO MORE BUYING NEW WATER PUMPS (yes, we have replaced the pump which did not fix the water pressure)!!

The company that did the inspection quoted my mother a ridiculously high amount of money, so I decided to look around. I got a few estimates and Pat Murphy plumbing and backhoe was one of them. He wasn't the cheapest, but he was way under what the first company tried to get my mother to pay. More importantly, he seemed by far the most knowledgeable. We decided to go with him and he put us on the schedule for the following week. He showed up on time, he worked very fast, and the job was completed before schedule. We found a new plumber! Friendly, extremely knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and he does good work. Can't beat that. We will definitely be calling him with any plumbing needs in the future. Thanks again, Pat!
