I figured that I'd give Dynasty a chance because a) hair grows back and b) couldn't be worse than my last cut. I am SO glad I did. Everyone was super friendly and my barber Kevin gave me exactly what I wanted -high bald fade undercut with a hard part. No one batted an eye when I mentioned my wife (yes, even in 2021 it's hard to find a LGBTQ friendly barber). Prices are at par with other barbers. Even if they were more expensive, I return for the professionalism, friendly, inclusive atmosphere and amazing work.

Finding the place almost empty, aside from the first two chairs already occupied I take a seat in the waiting area. The place is clean, chargers at the ready for anyone wishing to charge their phones. A collection of hair care products in a display case and TVs mounted high to keep people entertained. Multiple speakers pumping music at a high enough levels to drown out the buzzing cacophony of the shavers each station has. Bringing details on the haircut I normally get the barber looked at it and critiqued the choices, saying the hair won't grow right. Each has their own opinion. He offered to do the same with his own touches. As hair grows back I took his offer. Before the cut began I asked does he shave the back of the neck. They do not, "They have a shaver that is very close." During the hair cut he sprays some aftershave on the back of my neck and head, without any warning. I asked afterwards and he replies to what it is, he asked if there's a problem, I replied "Maybe, with allergies and all" At the beginning I should've asked what steps he follows, lesson learned. As the hair cut completed I was not happy with the results as the back was too close. I explained this to him and added "it's ok, hair grows back", that was that. As I paid, his older brother begins to critique my choice saying I should stick with a coiffeur. That's a no-brainer, why would someone keep going to a place when a BAD experience was encountered and think it would change. He then repeats that they have no bad ratings and I should stick with a coiffure. Here's your first bad review. FYI This is my first foray into Yelp, only to critique poor customer service. If the ScarFade replies to this, to each their own, they are entitled to their opinion and to defend their business, however I will not enter into any petty back and forth. A company cannot please everyone, and they should not gloat about having ratings making someone's opinion seem less than valid. As I have said before and will say again everyone has an opinion and I'd advise going elsewhere.

I am still looking for the perfect scotch though... Located on Pierrefonds boulevard, this place is full of talented barbers that can pretty much give you any modern haircut you ask them to. They're quick, courteous and the establishment is very clean and well decorated. Mazz, the owner, is a very kind person and is very attentive to his customers. Finding a barber is not just about finding the best hair and beard stylist, it's finding a place where you feel comfortable and appreciated. These guys are dedicated to outstanding customer service. If you're ever in the area and need a nice cleanup, you know where to go!

I will not lie, I am VERY picky with haircuts (and I do not trust myself with anything that is sharp, including electric razors even if it is hard to screw up with). I, Mihai, after 14 years of going to different barber shops, have found my messiah. My savior by the name of "Mitch" charges me only 18$ (which I always give him a tip on, which he very humbly accepts) and cuts my hair to perfection. Not once have I ever left his domain disappointed. He's also always up for a nice chat, provides good feedback, has tons of knowledge that he shares willingly and works there 6 days a week. The shop has other barbers too but I believe in loyalty. Mitch has been cutting my hair for the past 4 and a half years and I'm never going back to a service of lesser quality as I have experienced, here, the quintessence of hair cutting. I do not know about the proficiency of the other barbers. I can only vouch for Mitch's but the majority seem quite competent and friendly.
