I…read morealways wait until I am in Montreal so I can go to Salon Gamme and get my hair colored, styled and cut by the most professional, kind, experts I've ever encountered. On my last visit I got a balayage, toner, cut and style by the owner Malina who did such a phenomenal job on my hair that I can't stop staring at it 24/7. Just take a look at the photos I've attached for visual proof. The ladies at Gamme understand what it takes to make a salon experience fantastic - they take their time to get it right and make sure your hair stays healthy after the treatments so you stay looking fabulous between appointments. I can't say enough good things about this place... It is run but an ambitious, dedicated, inspiring lady boss (Malina) who has a hardcore loyal clientele (no wonder!) and is in my opinion a visionary and avant-garde leader for the Montreal hair scene. Four of my best friends now became regular Salon Gamme go-ers after they've seen how satisfied I've been with my hair and I'll keep raving about it because it's THAT worth it. Go to Salon Gamme!!

I was visiting Montreal and wanted to refresh my current cut and get a blow-out before heading off…read morefor a night on the town. Found Furisme while strolling through the fabulous Plateau-Mile End area when I spotted a woman exiting the salon with an amazing haircut. Co-owner Marco offered me a friendly greeting at the door. I did not have an appointment and all of the senior stylists were booked so I ended up giving their junior stylist, Cindy, a try. I was first treated to a long, luxurious shampoo and scalp massage while lying flat out on a chaise instead of sitting in one of those uncomfortable shampoo chairs. The products used smelled amazing and my hair felt terrific when we were through. Cindy may be relatively new to the industry but she is talented and enthusiastic. My cut took about an hour (before styling) but I do have "problem hair." She did spend extra time too putting some nice finishing touches here and there and made sure I looked my best when I left. Other stylists seemed pretty friendly and the overall atmosphere was fun and relaxed with some very cool music flowing in the background. My cut cost me under $40US with tip so I was quite satisfied with the value. Cuts by senior staff are a little more expensive. Having your hair done by a recent graduate might not appeal to everyone but I lucked out and my hair looks great!

I can't tie up my hair, it's longer at the back than the front, and it's not in any way an asymmetrical cut. In other words, a total "F" for listening skills. I'm deeply angry with the hair stylist, who clearly didn't want to hear what I was asking for. Won't be going back any time soon - especially given how much they ask for.

5 stars given for the nail technicians working here. But 1 star for the owner's lack of respect…read more have been going here for years, along with my mother and 2 sisters. Have never had a problem with any of the nail techs, they are kind caring and do a great job. But, beware of the owner!! After going to Onglerie Trang for over many years and remaining a loyal customer, I was treated badly by him. RUDE! He made errors on the prices and blamed ME for it. He does not care about proper customer service and will rudely dismiss you as any regular client instead of acknowledging and appreciating the fact that we are 4 girls who have always given him business. Needless to say, we will not be going back here and have already begun looking for other nail salons to try. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
