Whilst there are only three Venmores branded offices in Allerton, Liverpool and Southport, Venmores are part of the well established and much larger Bradshaw Farnham and Lea group that provide the whole range of property services. This little stretch of Allerton Road, is home to all the local agents and is just around the corner from the famous Penny Lane and homes of two of the Beatles. The area is still a very popular suburb and I have really enjoyed reviewing some of the many independant businesses here which make the area so interesting. For professional services and property management you are better to contact their central office directly. The Allerton office really only does sales and lettings with the sales department also opening on Sunday afternoons. read more

As a letting agent they have been completely inadequate. Very poor customer service skills ( often rude) make this agent unlike any that I have ever experience before. Reaction speed to any issues raised with the flat rented is normally very slowly processed. This is ok for things like a new door stop and lock, but when you have a building with a mice infestation, and a month passes without a response you really must wonder where the fees went you paid? This company need to be more reactive and stop ignorning emails and phone calls. They like to pass on the blame to the actual owners of the property. Often the response: "the owner has been hard to reach for years" they tell me. Then why do you continue to list their property on your website? I really don't anyone going through the same hell that we have been though. Everyone in my building have exactly the same issues with this company. read more

Highly dishonest when it came to getting my deposit back for my rented flat. Acutally, what they did was getting on for fraud. I had to take them to the TDS deposit dispute service, at which I won 100% of disputed amount, to get all my deposit back. Be very careful when you check out they make stuff up on the check out report knowing you cannot get back in to take photos later. They tend to claim things are missing or unclean. If you dispute their claim, they are too scared to provide their evidence, as they know it is made up. I'd advise working with someone more reputable. read more

Doesnt deserve any star at all.... Had to give it one otherwise review wouldnt have been posted BEWARE DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTATE AGENT If you are thinking of renting from Venmore do not. They do not care about their tenants. Once they get your money they dont want to know. Promise to get work done before you move in, never gets done. Send 'cowboys' to do the repairs if your lucky enough to get them done. Takes days sometimes weeks to reply to emails. Attitude when you ring stinks. They will find the least thing to hold on to your deposit. If you are already renting from them, a word of warning if you decide to move, make sure anything that was already in the property when you moved in, tell them dont just leave it as they will accuse you...and keep back most of your money......Even if its an umbrella....yep and umbrella......They need to be blown up, disgusting customer service you can imagine..... read more

After making an appointment a week in advance to view a house explaining that I was on nights and the time booked was the only time I could do they rang up this morning to change the time to when I was in work after explaining that I was on nights and couldn't do that time they then suggested tomorrow again when I was in work very UN organised and have just lost a customer for a house they have been unable to rent read more

Disgusting. I had an appointment booked with which appeared to be a reputable estate agent. Unfortunately on the day I had a funeral to attend of a close family member. As a matter of urgency I was on my way to London in the morning. I spoke to a representative 2 hours before the appointment and confirmed the cancellation and promised a call back to reschedule (which never happened). This morning i called back and the lovely Joanna Hudson (Branch manager!?) picked up. I firstly appologised regarding my absence yesterday and explained that I needed to go London as a matter of urgency She immediately snapped at me, giving me a mouthful of how she left a message and I failed to contact her back. I tried to explain it was a difficult time in the family and due to being on the train I did no have service. She continued to moan and make me feel even worse. Eventually after taking all the bitter words from this monster, I told her some sympathy would have been appropriate and hung up. Terrible terrible service, worst in my property experience Avoid venmores and avoid Joanna- who clearly doesn't deserve to be part of venmores yet a manager? Something has clearly gone wrong. read more

Don't even bother renting from them. Absolute disgrace. If i could rate lower than 1 star I would. Basically me and my boyfriend book a viewing in with a woman called Jennifer Peake and so we show up just on time and this other bloke appears. She then says are you both here for the viewing and he says yes. We both go in together to my displeasure as its completely unfair having to view with another person in the first place! It's why we book private viewings instead of turning up whenever we please. Anyway she gives us a little while to look around. Then me and my boyfriend tell her we would be interested in the flat and we would like to put a deposit down. Then this guy that wasn't even meant to be at our viewing also say he would be interested too! Absolute shambles this is why no letting agency should ever do a spontaneous joint viewings. Its completely unfair on both people. Anyway instead of offering 24 hours for both of us to make a decision or offer any sort of alternate flat to satisfy both of us she just say our office is on dale street and its on a first come first serve basis. What the hell? She basically said we would both have to run for it because we both were interested. Anyway she then goes to say we only except cash in the office so this guy happens to have £210 cash and me and my boyfriend don't so this guy who was suppose to have his viewing AFTER us sprints to the office before we get at least a chance to sort some cash and go to the office to pay a deposit. Words cant describe. It was a complete waste of our morning. If joint viewings are ok to this company then it is probably the most unprofessional company I have every came across. However if this was just the particular woman trying to get her work load done early then she should be fired. Most unprofessional, lazy and shoddy service i have ever seen in a person or a letting agency trying to rent properties. Don't even bother giving your time/money to them. read more
