I pulled a muscle in my inner thigh more than two years ago. With exercises from a physical therapist, the pain went away from time to time but it always came back. A friend recommended Dr. Venerable. He did a 3-D scan of my feet and it turned out that they were the cause of the problem. He recommended buying inserts at a store for my shoes and he said if they didn't work, he could have inserts made for me based on the scan. I had less pain with the inserts from the store, but I decided to try the ones made for me. It's been a few days and I feel much less pain. First review in I don't know how long, but that's how much I'm loving how I feel after getting adjusted by Dr. Brian. First visit is a little bit longer, with a basic run down of your lifestyle and activities. With my avid and increased work out regime, my poor body has had to sustain multiple strains and ongoing pain in my left shoulder/side. That paired with me now sitting in front of a computer for 10 hours a day was havoc on my neck, shoulder, and back. I had surgery a couple weeks ago and was stuck in bed at the hospital for days! I feel like I have my life back, and that is all thanks to Dr. Venerable. He is a great teacher, a warm and caring person, a man of strong ethics. He has a wonderfully upbeat outlook on life and he inspires that in others. He is an exceptional doctor and I feel privileged to know him and very lucky to be his patient. I have been a zookeeper for 25 years. This is a job that is very hard on the body. I was in increasing pain from muscle strain, tendonitis, and joint damage, so much that my life was becoming more and more restricted, the quality more and more diminished. It was easier to say what didn't hurt than it was to list everything that did. I struggled with my job and my home life. I slept badly and my blood pressure was getting too high. My orthopedist was unable to do much for me. It sounds overly dramatic, but I really felt that I might die sooner because of so much pain and the stress it generated. then 2 1/2 years ago I was referred to Dr. Brian Venerable, and things started looking up immediately. It turns out my legs are not the same length, so now I wear a lift in one shoe. My knees and hips stopped hurting within a week or two, and I don't twist my ankles or hit my head as much anymore. From my first adjustment I got range of motion back and my pain started to diminish in my neck and back. It probably took 6 months or so to get all of my pain under control and for my blood pressure to return to normal. I think that my condition is still improving even after 2 1/2 years. It used to be that as I started the last week before my appointment I would know that I really needed it. Now I sometimes go still feeling good. Dr. Ven has more than once suggested that I come see him only when I need to, but I feel very strongly that, because of the damage my jobe does to my body every day, the key to maintaining my condition is a monthly adjustment, whether I "need" it or not. I am by no means pain free. Things still flare up, but the intensity and duration of my pain is very minimal compared to how it used to be. And I know a visit to Dr. Venerable will set things right.
