The fried pancake rounds out the appetizer options nicely as well. On the rice dishes, there's plenty to love. My wife loves the shaking tofu fried rice and orders it every time we visit. The combo fried rice and shaking beef fried rice are both great choices, and the special pot rice is a comforting, satisfying option. The hardest part of dining here is choosing a favorite entrée. The grilled fish platter -- crafted from tofu and seaweed -- is a masterpiece. But it's in fierce competition with the fried chicken rice, made from mushrooms and exceptionally delicious in both flavor and texture. I genuinely can't pick just one. For $20 I wouldn't get them again but they were fun to try. The steak dish was definitely the highlight. It was so good that my non vegan boyfriend bet me $1 it was real steak. It wasn't. I got the rice, tofu curry, chaat marsala, and some vegetables. Everything except for the chaat was bland. It wasn't very easy to eat while the smell of cleaning supplies was in the air. It reminded me of sitting in a bucket of cleaning chemicals while eating a meal. The tofu curry tasted only like turmeric, but no salt or pepper or anything. The rice was super bland. The chaat marsala was very tasty and well seasoned. I finished off with desserts which both options were tasty. I particularly enjoyed the salad dressing (an avocado cream), the veggie lentil soup, and the spinach potato dish. Unfortunately, the special of the day or a dish near it (the soya Manchurian? Or the curry?) triggered some kind of inflammatory allergic reaction for me, so I had to stop eating. So I have tried the regular Caesar sandwich and the cojito- def love the cojito it's a bit of a Tex-Mex Caesar salad taste. Either way what they do is with the bread they pull the inside of the bread out and fill it with a salad, which is a sandwich portion so they don't open the bread up and slice it. The grilled chicken literally was so chewy and tasted like rubber I had to spit it out and then pick the rest of the chicken out, this place is NOT cheap. Quite pricey for a large sub stuffed with a salad. If you're paying $15 for a sandwich, you expect to get quality ingredients. The chicken was not edible. Staff just stood around and would chit chat, not really attentive or maintaining the restaurant very well. I'm willing to give it another shot maybe and try their salad...but I'd heed on the dressing and ask for it on the side.
