    I think I must've had a very off experience. Maybe a little unorganized? First thing I called and scheduled my appointment. When I was on the phone the girl told me only 10am was available the day I had asked for I said ok that's fine. When I went to recheck the day I was booked for I noticed the confirmation text said the wrong day. I called and they said oh no you are booked on the right day at 11am not 10am. Ok, obviously some kind of mix up that's fine. I arrived and they tell me pedicure first. That's fine. Once I settle in they said oh no nails first bc your tech is here. Ok. I sit to get my gel mani done first. And I'm just waiting... my tech finally arrives but no one even gave me swatches to pick. He gives me colors and is staring at me so now I feel rushed. Ok picked a color quick. Got my gel done realized after how thin the gel was on my nails. Yikes, I'm going away on a 2 week vacation hope they last. I've honestly never gotten gel done that thin before at a salon. They usually put a substantial amount on it to keep my nails strong. I only noticed once my nails were done so there's that. I go get my pedicure now. The girl was pretty quick. Seemed to apply the gel fine but I was answering work emails so I wasn't fully paying attention but I thought to myself, they didn't really clean under my nails at all. When I got home I double checked and I was right. Every other salon I've been to cleans under the nails... I go to pay the girl who did my pedicure rang me up. I pay cash. Tip both techs and begin to walk out. As I walk out they stop me and tell me they under charged me... I had to pay an additional $15. Ok mistakes happen but still a little awkward. To top it off the next day I noticed one of my nails began to break... that thin layer of gel is definitely not lasting and I'm on vacation for 2 weeks. *update top layer already peeling off after one week* I really love that space but not sure if I'd go back. So sad.

    The first few times I went here they were amazing. Vivian does a fantastic spa pedicure. However, unfortunately, the last two services I had were not good. Similar to Kathii R.'s experience, I made an appointment with the nail tech for a spa pedicure and the lady who makes appointments never adjusted the appointment time to the correct time so it was a huge debacle to just get my spa pedicure done. Eventually, Vivian did it and she did a good job with the spa pedicure like she did before. All I got was an apology from the lady from Nepal who schedules appointments and does eyebrow threading- I can't remember her name. Anyways, this same lady from Nepal schedules my appointment for November 30th at 6:00 p.m. with Vivian for Chrome nails and spa pedicure. When I get there, the first thing Vivian does is try to pass me off to another nail tech "because she doesn't have time" since my Chrome nails take over an hour to get done. She also tried to pass off my spa pedicure as a regular pedicure "to save time." She tried to blame the other lady because she didn't realize how long these services take. Once I realized what she was doing, I informed her I had asked for a spa pedicure and she explained that she thought I agreed to just have a regular pedicure when I explained I didn't. She finally proceeded to do a spa pedicure. She explained Saturdays are not good days for them because they have to go to church that evening.. They then had another technician try to do Chrome on my nails but he didn't know what he was doing- they came out very thick and dark colored not at all like the image of the color I showed them I wanted on my phone. All the while, this nail tech was conversing with Vivian and another nail tech, trying to figure out what to do in Vietnamese instead of admitting they had no idea how to do this. They did some nails with a white color gel base and others with a black gel base so that is always a recipe for disaster. Anyways, when I explained these were not the colors I requested, they asked me to come back the next day which I did. When I arrived, they explained that the nail tech they scheduled me with me was out sick. They have my phone number but they never let me know this before my appointment. They had some guy do my nails which were mostly good but partially chipped but instead of fixing them he took on another customer and stopped interacting with me. I was ignored until I asked the scheduler mentioned above who will fix my chipped nails. She asked me to come back an hour later which is insane given that I made the appointment the night before. What's more is they tried to ask me to come back again the following day instead of coming back an hour later that Sunday! When I came back an hour later, Vivian also had to take more dead skin off of my feet because did not do a proper job during my spa pedicure the previous night. Then, she tried to do my nails Chrome-now for a third time taking off Brisa- which she recommended I put on to my strengthen my nails and putting it back on later. Well, when Vivian did my nails, they began totally peeling the next day, something that never happened in any of my visits to this nail salon beforehand. Not only that but my nails began breaking as well down to the core! So unacceptable when you pay so much for your nails! They also know I live out of state and only come to Long Island about once a month unreal! The salon is clean which I love but they do not care about retaining me as a customer. Its a shame and its highly unacceptable when you pay this much to get your nails done. I only posted this now because I am off this week (note pictures are from awhile ago) but sorry will never get my nails done here again. Maybe a spa pedicure that's all! I never had this issue with Adam the nail tech but good luck getting him to do your nails. They don't even have a manager on site only Vivian is acting manager. What's more is Vivian tried to act like it was my fault because I didn't know what I wanted on my nails which is an outright lie- I showed all the nail techs pictures and Vivian and the the first nail tech just didn't know how to do bright Chrome nails. I should add that this is a far cry from the first time I came here when Adam stayed well beyond hours to do a great job on my Chrome nails. I did not want them to stay this late and I told them I would come back the next day to do my nails since it was getting late but they insisted I stay. The nail techs have a strong work ethic but need to learn to stick to their word if they want to retain customers especially in Long Island where I grew up!

Anyone who has written a less than spectacular review about her is off their rocker. I've been getting waxed at EWC for 7 years and have had multiple waxers over the years. Niki by far has been the most friendly, genuine and caring waxer that I've had. She is one of their top waxers and does an absolute fabulous job. She's quick, thorough and I don't feel any discomfort when I get waxed by her. I get a Brazilian, which trust me, can vary in pain levels depending on who waxes you, but Niki makes it a breeze. Our conversations are great and she is always so professional and understanding. I have had to last minute cancel or change appointments which I know is such a bummer (I am a hair stylist, so I know the feels), but she has never given me a hard time about it and I appreciate that. I recently moved to Queens, almost 40 minutes away, and I still make the trip to see Niki. With all this said, make sure to book your next service with Niki!! And side note - the front desk ladies are all great, so not sure why people in their reviews are speaking negatively about them. They do a fantastic job of checking me in right away and at the end of the service always make sure to ask how my experience was, offer to pre-book, update me on my package and any specials they are having. Would you rather them just say nothing and rush you out? Yeah, didn't think so. I have never had product pushed on me either like I see people saying. If anything, I have been given free samples to try out new products which is great because I love trying products out if possible before purchasing . But please realize that product sales are a huge part of their jobs. I assume they make commission off of products sold and are just trying to help you out as well. This was not a mistake... the nail tech knew exactly what she was doing. Let's start from the top. Do not ever speak about clients in another language thinking they won't understand you. I have been learning Chinese.... I understood enough. The way you and your husband talk about clients is disgusting, especially when it comes to tipping. If you have something to say, say it directly. Otherwise, stay quiet and act like the professional you claim to be. I gave you over a year of business, consistent tips, referrals, and positive reviews. I literally sent people into your salon telling them to "go here." That clearly meant nothing to you. Instead, what I got in return was: * Rushed, sloppy fill-ins * Half-filled nails so I would have to come back sooner and spend more money ((SEE OTHER REVIEWS ITS CLEAR SHE DOES IT WITH OTHERS TOO***)) * Inconsistent shaping that NEVER followed my natural nail... simple request What I asked for was basic: short, square, and follow my natural wide nail. That is beginner-level work. I have a cosmetology background... I know exactly what proper application looks like, and this was not it. Your attitude changed the moment I started giving simple, constructive feedback. Instead of correcting your work, you took it personally and started taking it out on my nails. That is not only unprofessional, it's intentional. Now let's talk about what actually matters; health and safety. You: * Touch your phone constantly and continue working without washing your hands * Do not properly sanitize tools between clients * Reuse materials after coming into contact with skin and blood * Use tools incorrectly, including using an e-file on cuticles That is not just "bad service." That is unsanitary and dangerous. As a direct result of your work, I now have an infection with pus coming out of my nail. Let that sink in. That is not an opinion--that is physical proof of negligence. You also: * Left acrylic in open skin areas * Failed to properly seal and fill the nail * Used contaminated product across clients And the most disturbing part? I watched you use a solution to stop bleeding, dip into the same container, apply it to skin, and then reuse it without cleaning. That is cross-contamination at its worst. You have no idea what one client may have that you are spreading to another. When I called you, I was calm and respectful. I did not ask for a refund, I asked you to fix your work. Your immediate jump to offering money back instead of correcting it confirmed everything: you knew exactly what you did. Then to turn around and blame me? Absolutely not. I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years. I know the difference between normal wear and intentional poor work designed to bring clients back faster. What you do with your fill-ins is a scam, plain and simple. I had this happen 1x 15 years ago... they handled it better than you. You allowed me to walk out looking like this. You allowed damage to happen. And now I'm dealing with the consequences. You did this to the wrong person. To anyone considering this place: Watch how they work. Watch what they touch. Pay attention to cleanliness. And if you don't understand the language, just know--they are talking. I asked to keep my brows as is but just clean up and instead I came out with super thin eyebrows. I didn't realize any of this until just now because she did a great job at filling them in, but I don't normally have to fill them in so they look good. So mad considering they charge $21 for this plus a $5 tip. I paid to have my brows messed up practically. At my local ulta they brow map and shape your brows before they wax, but instead this girl went straight in. So upset.

On numerous appointments especially early on I even showed her images of the brow shape I wanted. Fast forward months later and the price increasing numerous times (I think it went from $15 to $30?) (which I didn't mind because I was committed to having my brows be that shape and knew I needed a professional to do so), I complained for the first time in those two years that my brows weren't at the shape I had wanted them to be, in fact, they were progressively getting more arched and thinner, which I didn't want. I even showed her pictures of me from before when I started and how my brows were much more arched now. Even though I was very patient and this was the first time I had any criticism in those two years, she was very rude about it. In fact, she even said, "oh you were looking for that type of brow, I thought you meant something else". Again, I understand how she could forget despite me even showing her images of the brow shape I wanted, but it would've been nice if she could ask me to clarify at the beginning of my appointments if she was unsure. And knowing this, that she was doing a completely different shape on me than what I asked for this whole time, she still responded very rudely. I guess she was having a bad day that day idk, because she was dropping things a few times that day and was running late as well. However, it was still very rude to treat a customer like that over something that is very obviously an error on her part. I think she said something like, "maybe I'm not the one who can do this shape for you", which she could've told me months ago when I first came in. And I was showing her pictures to show her my eyebrows looked better before compared to now, and she was in denial. Like if you know you were doing something completely different than what the customer asked you, and the customer is saying "I'm not seeing the shape I asked for", for her to be so dismissive and rude about it makes no sense. Anyways, it just sucks I was wasting my money this entire time and driving 40 minutes to and from every appointment, as she was trying to make my eyebrows more arched instead of less arched lol.
