Go to ACCESS STORAGE!…read more After a wonderful experience storing goods at Access Storage, StorageMart 's competitor, I took a chance by choosing to store my goods at StorageMart instead. The promotion that StorageMart was offering caught my eye, and I fell for the scam hook, line and sinker. In truth, I have stored goods here before, and it was fine. This time, I have regretted it from day 1, and have continued to pay the price for my mistake everyday since. Syed is no longer an honest man. Compared to Access Storage's manager, he's awful! Syed & Abhinav have been utterly unhelpful, disrespectful & dishonest throughout my short time at StorageMart. They scammed us & rented a unit that was missing 30 sqft of space! When we measured & approached them about it, the excuse given was that the dimensions of any drive up unit "INCLUDE THE BRICK AND STEEL FRAMING OF THE BUILDING" ! (I called head office and was told in no uncertain terms that this was an utter fabrication). Even if that absurd policy had been true, the measurements for the unit we paid for were still out significantly. When we measured the space, the correct measurement ended outside of the unit in the driveway, meaning that the actual unit size (counting the brick and steel framing as though it was somehow usable space) was off by a lot. The "Heated" unit was also NOT heated, so our belongings froze, and there was no light in the unit; so even though we paid a premium for 24hr access, being at StorageMart to access things after hours became difficult and dangerous once the sun went down, due to lack of light for safety; and poor maintenance of the surrounding area. When we requested to be moved to a different unit, we were told that we could do that, but would lose the promotional rate that originally drew us in. So let me get this straight...StorageMart advertised a promotional rate for a specific size of unit, with heat and lighting. We rented that unit in good faith & then discovered that our suspicions that the unit was not the agreed upon size, were correct. Suffered damage to our belongings, and when we approached management about it we were told that in order to get what was in the contract we signed and paid for, we would be penalized by having the promotional rate stripped away. We had to threaten to call lawyers to get Syed to even consider actually providing what was paid for. No refunds or credits were ever offered, and the entire ordeal left us certain that we are NOT valued as customers by the StorageMart team. But my horror show with StorageMart doesn't end there! They seem to regularly risk the health and safety of ALL of their clients with lazy attitudes and lack of maintenance. They responded to my suggestion that they sprinkle some salt over black ice, by saying that in several hours a plow would come by & the crew "might" salt the driveway at that time (which was a completely false statement, as I personally watched the plow come through, scrape and compact snow into a more icy and slippery surface, & then leave without adding even a small amount of salt or ice melter anywhere for safety). The lack of preventative safety measures during these winter months has resulted in a call from me to the head office to protect the safety of innocent customers. After this experience, I made a simple call over to Access Storage - Fairview, and was greeted with genuine kindness and respect. I was given a great rate (that won't expire) & very eagerly made the move back to Access Storage, where I am treated like a human being and there's no doubt that my business is appreciated. I will NEVER return as a customer at StorageMart; but I may take legal action for breech of contract and negligence due to the atrocious behaviour of Syed and Abhinav. I am still so completely aghast at their unprofessional behaviour, dishonesty, and utter lack of concern for life and limb... I am truly considering contacting the BBB, Consumer Protection Ontario, the competition bureau, and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center to report their disgusting lack of integrity.

I like that the access to the compound is restricted by key fobs, and because it's so well lit, the place doesn't feel "sketchy", even after dark. I feel like my things are safe and secure. Also, the woman who runs the front desk is super friendly and helpful. I was surprised at the prices for packing supplies -- the bubble wrap and plastic wrap were less expensive than Home Depot or U-Haul.

As they provide excellent residential storage solutions in Burlington, my mother visited them and stored her valuables there. She took us on a tour of the facility, and led us to a few units we could choose from. Security is high priority for this organisation. They only issue one key, and take ID from everyone who will have access to the facility. There are also cameras everywhere. The unfortunate thing is the large gate must be moved by hand, and is quite heavy. However it keeps people out. The storage units have no electricity, lights, or environmental controls. You get a good bang for the buck, and they take payments automatically each month.

My motorhome not once but twice had, had an incident , the first time understood why it was not their responsibility , but they were not even aware that someone had scratch and broken the window ,backing into the parking spot , no one checks if something is amiss (and we pay close to 100.00 a month,)they call me when the daughter's the customer call them , it would seem that they don't check on customers renting spots or motorhomes . The second time there was theft on all the motorhome , in the fall they started doing some construction they told all of us to move our motorhome to the back , this parking lot has a passcode for customers to go in and out , but it make no sense if you don't have a back fence to discourage theft and no security cameras pointing towards all the motorhome , they took no responsibility and lie to us for weeks that they would pay for the theft , the part that was taken was worth 2500.00 not including labour , I was diminished and belittle ,when I ask to speak to someone in the head office and after calling a few times they transferred my call to the police, just for Asking for a name, that is the type of customers service your dealing with , i hope no one would have to experience, what I have had to go through with on Stoney creek mountain in centennial . They make you feel worthless and insignificant , and I think that is there objective. and I'm just telling you the surface of the story . Ordered 2 loft chairs and a couch, paid in full the date that the orders where taken - no issues right now experienced, this is late August of 2020. Come October 2020 got told delays because of COVID - no issue, I understand. Get told by Elizabeth that I should receive 3 pieces by early December. Come December no email or call from Elizabeth explaining delays. I HAD TO CALL HER to ask about my order and get told should be coming mid December, understand but not upset. Got my first part of the order, couch no issue. But second order missing... end up getting the 2 loft chairs end of December 2020. Called Elizabeth and stated one of the chairs is damaged - the leg point part broken. Get told by Elizabeth to send her email with pictures and I do as requested on December 16,2020. Here is where my issues start... January passes, February 2021 comes and no update from Elizabeth. So on February 13, 2021 I email asking for an update. Funny part here - she forgot ALL ABOUT MY DAMAGED CHAIR RECEIVED. But she said she will contact manufacture . Receive update from Elizabeth and gives me tracking number. Then on February 16, 2021 I get a message from a neighbour indicating I've had a parcel delivered to THEIR ADDRESS. Pick it up and discover the WRONG ADDRESS WAS GIVEN to the manufacturer by Elizabeth. So I email her explaining that I was NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER WITH MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE AT THE STORE - with the way my issue was handled by her. As one can imagine, if my neighbour was not honest, I would be out a replacement leg and this loft chair would be useless. Today is March 4,2021 and no response has been received to date from her explaining or providing some form of customer service. While we wanted our stuff gone, we didn't want to be gouged so a price up front was important to us. We arranged the whole appointment via email and Steve and Alan showed up on time and ready to go. They were thoroughly professional and friendly, and went the extra mile to make sure we were completely happy before they left. They also managed to fit an entire one bedroom apartments worth of furniture into a cube van, which was a feat in itself. I would thoroughly recommend Junkfree to anyone requiring junk removal services. Although they are based in Hamilton, they serve the GTA. It's also good to know that the furniture they take away is evaluated and given to charity or reused wherever possible.
