Would have been earlier but I didn't realize the studio was in a little mall, and I walked right past it. Had to ask the chiropractor where the studio was after wandering around for a few minutes. Anyway, 10 minutes to 9 and the door was already locked and it sounded like it had already began. I tried knocking but I was not admitted even though the class starts at 9. I would think studious are hurting for business as much as people are hurting to get back into it. I really needed this today, it's been really hard to get started again. I was happy to be supporting a business a few blocks from my home, looking for the same support in return. I will not try this studio again.

I love this studio because the classes are small that it feels like a private lesson. Jen and her amazing instructors make sure you get a great workout while understanding the machine and readjusting your position or alignment so you don't hurt yourself. I have had neck and shoulder pain due to my long days at work and would not be able to get through the week without the roll and release that we do at the end of the class. If your looking for a new spot to get a great workout this is your place!!!

I'd never done spin before and am a wuss - Coach Butts is really supportive, but he also sees through you and won't put up with your "can't" bs. It's the right amount of push. Oz adjusted my seat half way through the class which made it sooo much easier and more effective. Bikes were clean and in great condition. There were towels and water Incase you forgot yours, which I did. It was really nice to work out outdoors, together, which we couldn't really have done if we were riding our bikes down Rosecrans in heavy traffic. Great experience, I want to get them to my office for team building!

Most people join for a good sweat and to become healthier, not necessarily to compete or become a pro athlete (although we have a couple of those too). Members are very hospitable. The coaches are terrific, as well. Coach Eric is highly skilled at barbell and Olympic Weightlifting. Coach Alli is very skilled at rowing, gymnastics stuff, and protecting your form. The owner, Coach Brian, is also very friendly, professional, and cares about members and drop-ins alike. This gym has all the equipment you would expect from a box, except it has only one Assault Bike (which I consider a positive)! The programming is systematic and productive for strength and conditioning. Finally, the gym is taking measures to protect everyone from COVID. Classes are capped to 5 people, and there are separate workout areas with personal sanitation bottles and towels. As a member I always come in feeling safe and leave feeling healthier!

Sensei Sherry does have a very direct and no-nonsense personality, and I understand how that might come across as standoffish, especially over the phone. But in person, she is truly one of the most decent, grounded, and caring individuals I've ever met. She may have been firm if she felt there was confusion between Taekwondo and Karate--they are very different disciplines, and she's deeply committed to preserving the integrity of traditional Karate. In fact, that just shows she's not doing this for profit, but out of a true passion for Karate and a genuine love for the kids she teaches. She's barely making any money from the dojo, and honestly, customer service in the commercial sense isn't her priority. What she truly cares about is the growth, mindset, and character development of the students she works with. Sensei has taught my son so much more than just martial arts. She's helped him train his mind, build discipline, develop strong values, and learn what it means to have respect--for himself and for others. The impact she's had on his confidence and behavior has been nothing short of life-changing. Within just two years of training, he started earning medals from local Karate competitions, and now he's preparing for his first national competition! I'm incredibly proud of him, but even more grateful for the amazing sensei guiding him on this journey. The waiver and drop-in fee were also taken care of with Raquel prior to the class. Professor Johnny taught class; warm-ups, instruction/drills, positional sparring, then live rounds. There were only a few of us in the class, but everyone was extremely welcoming and very tough. Professor Johnny also participated in the positional and live rounds. It was a very good experience to be able to share the mats with someone so skilled and decorated. He put the hurting on everyone but did so in such a controlled and safe manner.
